Corey opened his eyes, head pounding with the ache of yesterday's 'treatment'. He slowly sat up, looking around to notice he was now back in the hospital room, no longer in the surgical ward.
Corey hated it. He hated the fact that he now couldn't stop thinking about being in that surgical room, strapped to a bed whilst that other boy was chained to the wall, somehow experiencing the same type of pain without Ted even touching him... just like before, how once he started seeing things other people couldn't. He hated that too. How alone he felt as he tried to not be obvious, tried to hide the nightmares only he alone could see... and when it came to sharing the same 'secret sight', again... only he saw the entire nightmare of dead rotting corpses with exposed wounds and saddened faces.
Corey lifted his hand, watching it slightly shake a bit from exhaustion... he could still faintly feel the painful electricity running through his veins. He's alone, again... and the only person he could relate his pain to is the boy they're keeping chained up. 'His name is Ethan' Corey reminded himself before shaking his head 'No, it isn't. He doesn't trust me enough with his real name' he told himself, letting his hand drop back onto the bed 'He gave me a fake name instead'. Corey tiredly signed, deep bags under his eyes... his eyes, they also seemed to ache as well 'The only person in this shit hole who gets me and he's chained up on the other side of the hospital with very little trust in anyone' he summed it up in his head "Just fucking great-" the door to the room opened, revealing only one soldier "Patient CØ12Y, you are to be escorted to the hospital cafeteria". Corey rolled his tired dead eyes, getting off the bed before walking towards the door, he walked out, joining the slow moving line of children in the corridor.
Angelina jolted awake as a soldier poked her in the ribs with the tip of his gun "The hell- you could've shot me!" the girl snapped at the large man whilst he glared at her "It's not loaded" he coldly told her before reaching behind his body and pulling out a magazine filled with bullets, slotting it into the gun "Now it's loaded" he stated, pointing the gun at Angelina "Now move it, or I'll poke you with the loaded gun" he threatened. Angelina jumped off the bed, glaring back at the soldier as he guided her out the door and made her join the line of children, following the line throughout the hospital corridors before walking into the large room known as the cafeteria "Patients retrieve daily meal before sitting down" a speaker repeated over and over again. "Only my second time in here, and that is already fucking annoying" Angelina muttered under her breath as she reached the front of the line once again, being given a tray of scrambled eggs, a small bread roll and a bottle of water before retracing her steps to the table filled with her friends: Corey, Holly, Faith, Vixen, Lily, Jacob and Tom. Angelina sat down and this time, slowly ate the eggs since last time, she didn't exactly eat at all.
Dianne paced around in her office, worry drawn on her face as tears started to threaten her eyes the more she thought about the day before. ..."So what's the real reason why you called me in here cuz I know you're not one for small chit-chat" Dr Bizarn stated "I wanted to talk to you about Dianne Thompson" Alex's voice answered... Dianne stopped by her desk, gripping the edge of it as if in need for extra balance ..."What about Miss Thompson?" Bizarn questioned "To remind you of her purpose of being here" Alex answered "Dianne may be a children's councillor and therapist, but she was only taken in to work at this base to calm and care for the children" Alex stated... her blunt nails dug into the desk as Alex's words painfully replayed in her head. ..."No other reason, just to keep the children under control and calm enough for each round of treatment" Alex's words continued... anger, that's what Dianne felt. Absolute anger. Her admiration for Alex and his work, her chances of having a proper paying job... all just lies she had been feed by a 'fellow' doctor who originally told her about the 'amazing opportunity' he had found for her... just to now see the truth, that all they needed was a desperate person who needed money, wanted a purpose for life and could deal with the burden of scared crying children... and they chose her. ..."After tomorrow's round of treatments, she'll start her one-on-one counselling, patients 4N63L and TØM45 will have their treatments first up" Alex stated... yet today's treatments actually been cancelled due to just one of the children. Dianne has no idea which one, just the it was one of the boys and that he 'needs to rest before another round'... that thought alone- that one of the children are currently being tortured to the point that they blackout... a child tortured for two days straight and for what? Why would someone go that far- what have these children ever done to them? all the doctors placed to work on treatments with the children, the soldiers and guards who act as though they have no heart whatsoever.... but that's not what she was the most angry about. She was beyond pissed with Alex.
Alex Ruins. Known to be one of the best leading doctors in Mid and the first to be titled 'Head Doctor' in one of Mid's many coloured armies yet... he was landed with being 'Head Medic' of the Grey Army instead. Believed to be one of the only people the armies had sent to join the Grey Army in order to turn the army back to good yet... it was a horrible mistake.
'He has the ability to befriend anyone, a charm he mis-uses all the time' Dianne stated to her mind and its thoughts 'Alex can simply charm you with his words too, he can get you to do what he wants- even if you don't agree with it, you'll do it with the inability to say no' Dianne continued, now pacing around her desk 'Unbelievable strength, closest link to the Grey Leader- he is a powerful man you'd never think to mess with or cross' she listed, coming to a dead stop behind her desk. "But being here for the children is not the only reason for why I'm here" Dianne stated out load "... and you know that second reason" she sneered, talking as if Alex stood in front of her. She'll never forget the first time she met Alex Ruins. It was the very week she first transferred to the Grey Army by orders of the Red Leader. Dianne only seen glimpses of him throughout the week until Saturday night, where the whole base she was at at the time decided to celebrate the news of the Grey Army re-joining the other armies, the greatest news the army has ever received and of course the whole base was at the 'party'... and of course Dianne went. Halfway through, while sitting at the table in the base's cafeteria, Alex joined her side and properly introduced himself. Talking and drinking soon lead to a mistake Dianne woke up to the next day, her constant apologises to Alex lead to him assuring all was good and that they could remain friends... it's now a year later, and Dianne was still dealing with the problem. A problem Alex now wants to keep a close eye on.

Vixen groaned, slightly getting very annoyed by the watching soldiers as his grip tightened around the fork he was holding "Can't they just fucking piss off?" he silently hissed "Trust me, you're not the only one who wishes that they'd leave" Faith told Vixen "What about the vents? they're big enough for at least some of us to crawl through" Jacob suggested to the others. "One, we can't sneak out of the vents in any of our rooms and two, cameras and guards are fucking everywhere in this place" Holly reminded Jacob "And the only unmonitored rooms are in the surgical ward and a couple of the doctor offices" Tom added, earning a couple raised brows "How do you know that?" Faith questioned. "It's called looking at your surroundings" Tom answered "And the doctor offices is a pure guess- like they'd have twenty-four hour surveillance in their own rooms" the older teen stated. "Okay... why not cause a riot?" Jacob suggested another idea "According to Angelina, they don't load the guns in the morning-" "Until they feel as though they need to" Corey interrupted, voice sounding dead and tired "One slight hint of anything and out come the bullets and now ready-to-shot guns" he explained before taking a small sip of the water he had been given. Angelina raised a worried brow 'He's still not eating', remembering how just not that long ago, Vixen too had questioned Corey about eating... when Angelina sat down earlier, she had noticed no food tray in front of her friend, just a bottle of water and the over used excuse 'I'm not hungry' slipping through Corey's lips every time when asked. 'I told them a wasn't hungry and they just handed me a bottle of water instead' Corey had also told them. Angelina and Holly had both offered their bread rolls as well yet he won't budge... he was so insistent about not being hungry and not eating.
Angelina couldn't stop her eyes moving to Tom either because again, he had the same bruises where Angelina had been given yesterday's injections yet the others... they only have a few bruises on their arms, nothing else and Corey... he shared the same bruises as everyone else yet also a blackish purple bruise on the left side of his neck. That was what Angelina was currently staring at now, his neck. It looked absolutely painful. Corey's eyes flickered to Angelina, startling her a bit as the others continued to go on with their unsuccessful planning of escape. Corey kept eye contact with Angelina as she looked back at him with worried eyes 'They're... torturing him' Angelina was immediately saddened by the thought 'Every time we go in for 'treatments', he's being tortured as well' tears threatened her eyes as they kept their eye contact 'He's hurt, tired and sick... that's why he won't eat'. Corey also looked at his friend in worry, she did after all have more 'treatment' bruising than anyone.
The shadowed kid felt the needle go into his neck, feeling the medical tape be applied so that the needle wouldn't so easily be moved or fall out at struggle. Still chained to a wall by the ankles and feet like a criminal, it seemed to familiar due to the kid's past 'Barbaric animals, all of them' the boy thought 'Always have been, and always will be...' he signed at the truth of his thought, leaning against the wall as Ted plugged the needle's cord into the machine. A second later, Ted turned it on, the machine itself sending an overpowering shock of electricity through the boy's veins, quickly turning the machine off as the boy spat out blood. 'Corey... I told him a name... one I wish I owned' Ethan's head swayed a bit 'Always bound... linked until death' his brain continued to droan whilst Ted fiddled with the machine '...death?... that is too familiar, not as what it means... as a-' Ethan immediately hissed in pain as a even more powerful shock of electricity shot through his body whilst Ted smirked down at him. "Give up yet-" Ted's eyes immediately narrowed as Ethan's glowed bright green 'A forever promise of protection... I have to protect him- I can't let Corey feel my pain' Ethan repeated the thought over and over again.
