The bright blue sky welcomed me back when I woke up. I got out of my light blue sleeping bag and pulled a black bag beside me. I dug around inside and pulled out some cleansing wipes. I then stood up, took my jacket off and quickly wiped myself down.

When I was done I put my dark gray hoodie back on and put the wipes back into the black bag. I folded up my sleeping bag and put it inside the black bag as well. I looked around trying to find another black bookbag bag we had for specifically food purposes only. I found it next to Ekons head and quietly grabbed it since I didn't want to wake him up.

I put the bookbag on and walked out the alley. As I walked on the sidewalk I pulled out my phone from my pocket and called the person who always helps us when we need it.  *BRRRING* *BRRRING* The phone rang for a while when the person finally picked up the phone. 

“You know I'm a hacker, I stay up all night and sleep all day. I really hate helping you so early in the morning.” the person on the other side of the phone complained. ”say what you want if you really hated it you wouldn’t pick up the phone nor help me when i do call.”

The other person sighed knowing that I was right. “Ugh, so what do you feel like doing today? Sneaking in and stealing or going in disguise and stealing?“ the person on the phone asked. “What’s the difference?” I grinned at what they said since it was a bit childish and funny.

“The first one makes you feel like a criminal, the second option makes you feel like a spy.” They respond in an annoyed tone since I slightly laughed at them. “Okay, I guess I'll go in disguise.”  I stopped messing with them. “Good, I’ll start the preparations to get you in the system....oh what restaurant are you stealing from?” 

“Oh yeah i guess I skipped that part, hmmm, Chic’Donald’s? Nah not in the mood for them. Mendy’s? Nah their sausage biscuits are dry.” I mumbled under my breath as I stood on the side of the sidewalk since a crowd of people were starting to show up.

“Can you hurry up? I really want to get back to bed.” The person on the phone yawned and complained that I was taking too long. “Oh! I know Burger prince. Their chicken biscuits are so good!” I finally found out what I wanted to eat. “FINALLY, what street? Moon st. , XX road, or Bloom ave?” The person on the phone started talking and the sound of keys being typed came from the phone as well.

“XX road since I've been to the other ones.it might be far but it’s better than having a chance of being caught.” I answered the person's question. “Oh smart choice, from where you are it’ll take 30 minutes to get there.I’ll be hacking in the system to make you an employee, I’ll call you when I get it done.” The other person tells me information on the mission to get breakfast.

“Alright cool, talk to you then.” I hung up the phone. And started to walk on the sidewalk again. Right before I could put the phone back into my pocket someone in a long black cloak bumped into me, Making me drop my phone. “Um excuse you! You should at least apologize to someone when you bump into them!” I complained to the person, I couldn't see their face clearly since they had their hood on but I could see their bright blue eyes. It was like they were glowing.

I was so mesmerized by his eyes that I didn't realize when he left. “Huh, that was..strange wait who the heck wears a coat in the summer?.” I picked up my phone and put it in my pocket. I stood there in confusion then I realized something. “CRAP! I’m gonna have to hurry up if i’m gonna get the burger prince in time.” I ran to make sure I was on time.

*Back in the alley with Ekon*

I woke up feeling the cold hard ground one my back and the blue sky with a few clouds slowly passing by. I sat up and looked around. “Uneme? Oh she must be getting breakfast.” I leaned over to a blue bag next to me and pulled out a book. “I hope she hurries up, I’m hungry.”

As I sat there reading my book I began to let my mind wander and think about my past. 

*4 years ago*

“Ekon! Uneme lets go! We have to hurry up if you don’t want to be caught by them!” The red haired girl grabbed both me and unemes hands and ran from the church that abused us. “I’m so sorry that I left you behind, but I'm here now and I will keep you safe.” while we continued to run she apologized for leaving.  “Rose you actually came back, but I thought you had gotten adopted?” I asked a question as I continued to run with the rose.

“I did but I couldn't keep my consonus clear if I knew that I left you guys there just to be abused. So I came to save you. But I can’t take you back to my home. I live in a dorm and I can't bring others there to live with me. So I’ll take you to a place close to mine and keep watch over you!”

Rose told us her plan, it was a bit scary since i was only sixteen at the time but i was happy since we were finally free from that horrible place. We ran and ran until we came up to an alley and ran inside of it. “Hah, hah. I think this is good enough. You guys okay?” Rose asked me if we were alright.

“I-I am.” Uneme was out of breath but still managed to answer Rose. “Me, Me too. I’m fine.” I was tired but I couldn't let them know that. I was older than Uneme. I had to make sure she felt safe. “Okay, here's a phone you can use to contact me. My number is already there. Call me in the morning and afternoon everyday so I can check up on you. there's three bags over there that you two can use.”

Me and uneme looked behind us and saw two book bags that were black and blue, and three small black and one small blue bag on the wall. “Inside those bags are supplies to help you survive. There's a bit of food and water in there as well but it won’t last forever but I can deal with that when you run out of food. Those book bags are for when that time comes. Okay your safe now so you don't have to be scared, you guys can call me anytime you need. Let your big sis take care of you.” she reassured us that we were going  to be okay as our big sister. Of course she’s not our real sister, but calls herself that since she’s 5 years older than us. She pulled us into a hug and didn't let go for a while. “I’ll never leave you guys behind again.”

*Flash back end*

“That day I felt so relieved. I’m glad that Rose helped us.” I continued to read my book when a sudden headache appeared. Along with a voice telling me something.

“Protect her, make sure she can grow up and use her true abilities. Never leave her side.”

I grabbed my head only for the headache to soon go away. “Who...who are you?” these random headaches and this voice has been appearing more frequently lately. Not only that, something strange happened when the voice first appeared. 

My eyes changed, they were more piercing red than before and had cat like pupils.  Along with this weird black tattoo that runs from the corner of my eyes to the end of my cheeks appears when the voice appears. At first I couldn't control it but I can now make these changes come and go away by command.

“What is happening to me? And who is that person who keeps talking to me? And who is “she” supposed to be?” all these questions that I have no answers to. I would tell Uneme but I don’t want to worry her.

*Back to uneme*

My phone began to ring when I picked it up. “Hey Rose, you're right on time I just arrived at burger prince.” I was surprised at how she was right on time. “Didn’t i tell you to never say my name when you're about to go steal from a restaurant? Plus I have a tracking device in your phone so I know where you are at all times.” she scolded me for my mistake.

“Hold on, do you really?!” She had a tracker on my phone? “If it makes you feel better then i’ll say no.” she responded. “Well, anyways shall we get to work?”
