In turning out, the partner is starting to realise that their boyfriend isnt what they thought they were when they were little and that they werent really in love and decides for both their mental healths to break it off with them, leaving a song behind, aka Turning out pt ii. The main person, realising they've fucked everything up, decides to turn their life around and changes careers and reignites his old love of music and performing on stage (i think you see where im goin with that) and they take off really well leading into The Entertainments here and the ex is happy for them but is also sad and thinks that they are the reason why the main character wasnt doing well, main character is realising how shallow their life is and tries to do good deeds but they end up fricking him over and he goes into therapy about it which brings us to Karma, the therapist suggests that maybe the reason why he misses his shitty old life is because of the ex. Main dude ignores that and continues on with his path to fame, picking up celeb friends and big music promo's until he sees the ex online and realising that they really do miss them and so he goes into depression, barely able to write songs leading to a slight fall in fame but not majorly, leading to beats. They then call the ex and they plan to talk together in a bar, while the main person waits, someone comes up and ask why he's here and they get to talking about their crazy shitty lives where he is oblivious to the flirting the stranger gives, leading to Wow im not crazy, and during the bit with the circles we saw in the concert, the ex finally shows up and sees the main person being unwillingly kissed by the stranger, ruining their chances at talking and/or getting together.

The main character soon ditches all their contracts and music promos and tours and all the fame stuff and is trying to get the ex to talk to them again, but they are ghosting him. Soon, no one barely remembers his name but the still play his songs. Then one night the main character decides to go get drunk and drown sorrows in a bar cause he is a mess, barely recognisable, until he hears someone singing one of his songs on karaoke, they look up and ITS THE EX.

The main is so shocked cause they're singing with tears in their eyes, and after they finish, he signs up and with the hoodie on, he says this song is dedicated to someone very special in his life and he hopes that they can forgive them, and sings dear winter and the ex slowly realises it's him singing cause they always talked about having a son named Winter and they both start crying as soon as they look each other in the eyes and when the song is over, they both fricken cry and hug. Later they talk to the same therapist from earlier and are working on their relationship, timeskip montage with finale playing, they fall back in love, proposal, marriage, kids, the two always go back to that bar and sing together and the bar owners love these two idiots, the kids hear the mains old songs and sing them on stage, kids graduate, one kid grows up and becomes a professional singer while the other is the manager, the two grow old and happy together, and then they go to sleep and we see the main wake up as the soul we saw at the beginning holding hands with their soulmate and they look back at the earth screens and their kids and look at two new born babies and the main looks at the soulmate and asks "Are you ready?"

End movie

And during this whole time, the main is wearing the Jack hat from childhood to death and he passed it onto his singing kid.

it's brilliant. i think that instead of it directly showing hiss life at the beginning though it should just hint towards it and talk about his childhood through dialog and maybe some moments between the ex and stuff
