Pop! Pop! Pop! Kaiden rolled to dodge to gunshots flying in his direction. The raven haired man had been hit in the side, and was quickly loosing blood. Kaiden hid behind a barrier, holding his side, someone rolled next to him and fired back at the enemies. “Kaiden.” Shepard looked over at him. “Hey, Shep.” Kaiden smiled. “You’re injured.” Shepard said, continuing to fire back at the enemies. “You are too by the looks of it.” Kaiden pointed to Shepards leg, which was bleeding through the mesh part of the armor. “I’ll be fine.” Shepard stood, he hooked his arm around Kaiden, lifting him up, he ran across the battlefield as quickly as he could with his injured leg and hid behind another barrier. “Joker, we need an evac.” Shepard said over comms. “Trying, Commander, but their trying to shoot us down.” Joker replied. “Damnit.” Shepard cursed under his breath. “Hey.” Kaiden grabbed Shepard’s hand. “Go on without me.” He said. “No.” Shepard quickly replied, he held pressure on Kaiden’s wound. “Coming in for evac now, commander.” Joker’s voice crackled on the other end of the line. The SS-NORMANDY landed and Shepard ran to it, others providing cover fire, he gets Kaiden on board, and then gets on himself, the Normandy’s hatch closes and it speeds off.
