  “Why do you think your mother was so against it when that female idiot suggested it?”

  “I don’t know. Who were they anyway? I’m asking in reference to the little girl that followed her.”

  The little girl that followed the ‘female idiot’ as the goddess put it gave me a weird feeling.

  “Oh my, you’re capable of having a crush on people? Well then coloured me surprised.”

  I couldn’t tell if the goddess was being sarcastic or not, so I went back to burying my head in the book I was reading.

  I didn’t have a crush on anyone. For goodness’ sake that was a little girl and I am… a baby. Oh yeah, I just remembered. Then again, I probably should have realised I still need help keeping my head steady.

  I guess that’s why my head is currently ensconced between the ample breasts of the loli goddess Mina.

  Still couldn’t get why her cheeks were red, I mean I am a baby. I guess I still can’t fathom the minds of gods.

  “Can you hold the book still? I’m trying to read here.”

  The book kept trembling in her hands. A task one would think would be pretty easy proved to be a challenge, oh well.

  “Why are you even in my lap to begin with!?”

  “Because I’m a baby and it is much easier to use these two ballons on your chests as stabilisation devices to keep my head straight.”

  “That’s not what they’re used for!”

  “Then what are they used for?”

  “… J-Just read the darn book!”

  Shrugging my shoulders, I stopped paying attention to her and tried to learn more about this world.

  “Still, I can’t believe that there is nothing called an emperor here. What kind of cultivation world is this?”

  “Did you not read the book, or can you not read? There were legends once of an individual who possessed an ancient destiny. He apparently united this world and while leading the people took up the mantle of an emperor.”

  “I’m not talking about then, I’m referring to now. There are no royal families, only rich families living within a system passed down from a time now countless.”

  ‘It looks like I have just discovered my goal within this cultivation world. Not only will I get to the top of the cultivation world as a cultivator, but I guess I’ll become an emperor. Wear that hat for a while, then probably give it to my father when I’m done.’

  “Oh good, you’ll help. The first thing to do is to train and learn. As soon as I get big enough, I’ll leave this place and go on an adventure.”

  “Gonna have to find Pebbles before that happens.”

  “Oh yeah, you don’t know about Pebbles the wonder crap.”

  “I’m not telling you cat!”

  “Now you mispronounced crap a while ago.”

  “I was being clever!”

  “But you’ve never succeeded before.”

  “You suck! I’m not telling you anything!”

  “Why are you angry? Oh, I get it, you want me to discover Pebbles on my own. Ah yes, the minds of gods are truly something else, you’ve already thought that far ahead.”

  By going through an adventure to find Pebbles, I’ll grow stronger as well.

  “I want you to discover some new emotions while you’re at it. Why is your default expression nothing at all?”

  “I have no idea what you’re talking about. I’m thinking I’m smiling right now.”

  “… And just like that, I have found the one thing that you are unable to do, and I can’t even use it against you.”

  I didn’t listen to her, obviously; we needed to make sure we know exactly what step to take to be awesome.

  “Alright, so obviously we know what the plan is, train, learn, figure out whether I want a harem or not, and find pebbles… not necessarily in that order.”

  “One of those things is something we’re gonna avoid at all costs, for my sake, your sake and the sake of whatever girls there are that somehow manages to get caught up in the tumour inducing, cancer generating, headache compelling group you’d call a harem.”

  “I must say, I’m surprised at your mastery of words that have more than 3 syllables, keep it up, I’m cheering for you.”

  “…”

  ‘… Weird, I just told her I’m cheering for her and her face looks like it’s angry. Then again, she is quite the angry little goddess.’

  “I look forward to the day you offend someone you shouldn’t offend and die for it. It will be swift and I will look upon you with the same inexpressive look you have for everything else.”
