My sister was more into @redhotchillipipers in high school, but I wanted to bridge the works of @alanis and so rendered her listening to "You Live, You Learn."
Music has always been a huge help when dealing with my anxiety and depression. Before my anxiety turned into full-blown depression, I used to have a Driving-And-Crying mix that I'd listen to when I'd sing along with while crying on my drives home and that generally kept me sane. Thought the disc contained no songs by the band, "Driving and Crying." Usually, I just hit @sarabareilles ' acoustic cover of @siamusic 'S #Chandelier and that made me a mess. A mess that could still safely operate a motor vehicle.
I ran the designs of our teenage selves by my sister and she has assured me that my depiction of my teenage self is both accurate and hilarious. From the long, wavy hair to the Crow t-shirt, to the flannel shirt that looks like it's trying to escape my body like every other button-down I've ever owned. Not pictured, my black jeans, chain wallet, and Chucks.
I tried to draw Sis' speech bubbles as Kodak Portra VC film since it was her favorite and still in production in '96.
