What is it like for you to be Autistic? Because everybody's different!
well it’s hard to tell what me being Autistic actually impacts because of how many different things I have that impact my day to day life, but I will do my best.
- so, I have trouble with social interactions, more specifically I have trouble picking up on social ques, and facial expressions, and I tend to come across as rude because I sometimes forget to add frills and fluff to what I’m saying, so I come across as blunt, direct, rude, and disrespectful.
- I also am sensitive to foods, I can’t handle powdery, doughy, stringy (this mostly applies to meat), some meat textures, and mushy things (like Banana and avocado).
- I also can hear higher frequencies, and quieter noises than most, so I wear headphones a lot, so I can listen to music because it is a collection of sounds that work together and have a steady beat I hate loud rooms because there are lots of noises that don’t work together and have irregular beat and I can every individual noise at once, and I hate quiet rooms because I can hear every little noise all at once and most people think that there would be less noises in a quiet room but there is just as many, and my tintinaites means that unless there is a constant noise I hear a high pitch ringing, the buzz of the lights, the ticking of the fans, the sound of everyone swallowing, I can hear if someone’s nose has a slight whistle, I can hear the scraping of pens and pencils, so the quieter it is for the average person, the louder it is for me.
- I also wear my beanie (I covered why in a previous answer)
- I am sensitive to fabrics, I hate itchy clothes, and before I can wear new clothes they have to be washed multiple times because I hate the starchy feeling.
- I like things to have a place, and if they aren’t in their place I get upset (idk if this one counts)
- I need my routine and I can’t cope when its broken.
- I struggle with object permanence and executive processing (I may cover these in more depth later)
- I struggle with some sounds (I will add to this when I think of how to explain them)
I think that is it, sorry for the late response
