In the year 2770, a sizable number of the human population has left the earth and have colonized thousands of planets, moons, and space stations. Among these various colonies is one named Venice Mercury. Venice Mercury, like virtually all places that have been touched by human life, faces one existential crisis: its population has lost its ability to be creative. Its inhabitants no longer possess the ability to create anything new or think of any new concepts, stories, or technologies. In an attempt to reignite creative spark a group of scientist have developed a machine, the COSMOS, that has the ability to put a test subject into a simulated version of a far distant past where this issue didn’t exist. Thier objective is to study what made people in the past creative, and how they can replicate it in their on time.
