Week 3, 17XX
So… a lot of things happen.
There were good news and bad news this week.
The good news was the prince actually had urgent matters to attend to around the time of the visit. He sent a letter of apology to the Marquis and tell him that he had to delay the visit until the matter has resolved.
And from what I’ve heard, it will take a pretty long time, so the Prince wouldn’t come anytime soon…
Dear god!
Thank you!
Thank you for answering our prayers!
If the visit still happened, I don’t know what else we should do with lady Azelina. Aside from hiding her, bribing the wizards to create a clone or letting a doppelganger impersonating her that is (not that we could find anyone as beautiful as the lady) … which is actually the bad news.
We still couldn’t open up the lady’s heart for the prince no matter how much we tried.
So many methods and ways had been used but all of them were to no avail.
We tried showing her the fiancé’s pictures and paintings but the lady had torn all of them to pieces and made confetti of some sort all over the bedroom. Even the expensive one…
We even plastered a huge painting of the prince with a heavy frame to ensure the lady won’t pick it up and throw it across the room. She didn’t do it. What she did do was use the painting as a target for her fork-and-spoon-throwing session. His striking golden eyes and attractive face got ruined so badly by the lady’s forks and spoons that it hardly looks recognizable anymore. I can feel the rage from the supporters and fans of the prince if this piece of painting were to be exposed to the public.
We were forced to take it down after it was completely destroyed by the lady herself and burn it.
…To be honest, it feels oddly stress-relieving to burn things. I can see why the lady likes to throw things into the fireplace. Though it doesn’t have to be only from and about the prince…
Which reminds me, she developed a sudden obsession with forks and spoons. And she collected them every single mealtime.
Not the kind of obsession like an item collecter has, even the past lady Azelina never even considered the utensils as such valuable items let alone keep them.
No, she collected them to use them as weapons.
Not even a poor baronness with only one knight around kept a weapon with her all the time. I guess it’s because she was afraid someone could hurt her, that she felt the need to own such a weapon as self-defence.
That incident surely has left her traumatized and scarred for life. Poor lady Azelina…
But still, I’ve never heard someone using utensils as weapons. Knife, definitely. Fork, sometimes as a last option. But a spoon?
We tried to refrain the lady from taking the utensils right after meals ended, but the death stare she gave us is almost life-threatening really.
One of our butlers even ran away crying right there and then, ignoring the shame he just made in front of the Valjean family. The lady just put a look of innocence, as if she wasn’t the culprit of the embarrassing incident. The Marquis and Marquise look shocked while the twins laughed.
We could only stand at our spot and stare at his back with pity.
Have mercy on his dignity and job… I hope he could keep doing his duty even with this memory ingrained in his mind.
It’s not enough that the lady kept them in her dress and hiding place. Recently, she spent her free time sharpening her forks and spoon until the edges look sharp enough to even cut a paper with a single swipe.
To cheer up lady Azelina and brighten up her days, I assume young master Aaron gave her things he collected outside the manor. Just innocent harmless-looking items, such as dandelions, apples, some handmade flower wreathes…
And stones…
Which she used to sharpen her utensils with…
At this point, I can’t retaliate anymore. It’s already beyond my sanity and control. I only hope that this chaos will not grew bigger in the future.
Just this alone has already made us exhausted physically and mentally. I can’t imagine anything more stressful than this...
