Trayne- These are our friends; Zelda, the first friend I made at school. Zsa-zsa, the Student Council President. Willow has yet to start school, and this is her brother, Arkady.
King Aren- As family, you don’t have to be so formal. I just wish my sister was still here. Blain, you have her hair and Trayne, you have her eyes.
Trayne- Thank you, Uncle. You say that every time we see you, especially when meeting someone new.
King Aren- Well it’s true. I loved my sister very much, I’m glad there’s something to remind me of her. And please, just call me Aren when we’re in private, your friends too.
Blain- I never had the chance to ask before, but why could we not have met when our mother died?
King Aren- That’s something you should ask your father about. Also, you and your friends are all welcome to stay here at the castle until you leave.
Zelda- That is very kind of you, Your Majesty.
Arkady- If ever you need anything from Brock Inc. just ask for me. It’s my grandfather’s company, but I’m in training to be CEO.
King Aren- Thank you, Arkady, I may take you up on that offer. Let’s get everyone settled in some rooms for the night, and we’ll talk more tomorrow.
Trayne- Thank you, Uncle.
Just then, a guard came running in with a message for the King.
Guard- Your Majesty! There’s a problem!
King Aren- What is it?
Guard- An intruder! It may be an assassin! We need to get you and the princes to safety.
Intruder- I’m looking for a man by the name of Faust? Do you know where I can find him, Your Majesty?
King Aren- And what, may I ask, is your relation to him?
Intruder- He is my father. My mother told me to come and live with him.
Trayne- Who are you? I think I’ve seen you before, but back in Amol.
Kagami- We went to school together back in Amol. I was the shy girl in the back of the room. I never really talked to anyone, so no one remembers my name! It’s Kagami Bone!
Trayne- I’m sorry. Had I known that you felt that way I would have tried to talk to you more.
Kagami- What do you mean by talk to me more?
Trayne- As class president I had to get to know everyone in class. But every time I tried to talk to you, you’d just run away.
Kagami- Back then I was just so shy, I didn’t like talking to anyone. Even now I don’t like to talk to anyone I don’t have to.
Blain- I do remember seeing you around the school, but I never had time to talk to very many people because of my job. Sometimes I had to leave in the middle of the day. But, going back to you being shy, it seems like you’ve gotten over it.
When she heard that, her face turns bright red.
Kagami- I… I’m getting better at public speaking.
