Chapter 8

Finally after a long break… The story is back! I finally managed to get some audience read my light novel, and I almost lost all my motivation to continue this series. But somehow I got some motivation to continue this series so here’s the continuation. It is not a long chapter but I’ll try my best to keep up! Thank you for reading this light novel of mine! Recap: After Hiro explains the situation to Yuuta, Yuuta bursts out laughing when Hiro finally decides to apologize to her. Whereas Shiho on the other hand visits the office to submit her entry. But unfortunately, she couldn’t… But, the new main character, Sakuraba Haru.

            “Hahhhh! You were really cool back in the karaoke!”

            “Haha! Thank you! Your voice is pretty sweet too!” says Haru.

            “Th-Thanks!” says Shiho as she blushes. “W-Well, thank you for inviting me with you! I don’t even remember the last time I was enjoying my life.”

            “Mhm.” Replies Haru. Just when Haru sees a crepe shop in the distance. He says,

            “Oh! Ogawa-san, please wait here a moment. I will get us some crepes! What’s your favorite flavor?”

            “Oh, it’s chocolate! Please let me pay for it.”

            “Oh, no. My treat!” says Haru with a warm smile and leaves to buy the crepes. Meanwhile, Shiho sits on a nearby bench and waits. Suddenly she sees some children playing in the garden. She starts getting flashbacks as she sees them enjoy their childhood.

            “Shiho! Why are you so late!” shouts Hiro.

            “I’m *sigh* sorry. Mom asked me *sigh* to get some things.” Replies Shiho.

            “Well, don’t worry. We got the whole night with us! So, let’s go?” asks Yuuta.

            “YES! LET’S GO!!!” exclaims Hiro.

            They pass by a not long but thick forest and just then when they cross it…

            “Ahhh~ so beautiful~” says Shiho.

            …A stunning starry night sky.

            “So shiny~” says Hiro as Yuuta glances towards him and says,

            “Hiro! Your nose! Started dripping! Hahahah!”

            “Geez Hiro! Wipe your nose! Are you a kid?” and as Shiho says this, she starts to wipe his nose with her handkerchief.

            “Oi! Shiho stop! It makes me look like I’m a small kid! And I also have my handkerchief!” exclaims Hiro.

            “Awww. You ARE a little kid. Now… here. Take it and wipe it on your own.” Says Shiho.

            “DON’T MOCK ME!”

            Just when Yuuta starts laughing.

            “What are you laughing at huh, Yuuta?!”

            “Nothing much. I’m just laughing at how you are still acting like a small kid. Haha!” says Yuuta.

            “Oi! Yuuta! You too?!”

            And then both Shiho and Yuuta look at each other and start laughing.

            “Geez! What’s the deal with you guys?!” complaints Hiro as they still continue to laugh.

            “Whatever I do… Those days won’t return huh.” Says Shiho as Haru comes and says,

            “Ogawa-san, here! Your crepe!”

            Just when Shiho looks at him and smiles and says,

            “Th-Thank you Sakuraba-san!”

            “Don’t mention it.”

            Just as they were eating, Haru gets a call.

            ‘I wonder who is on the call.’ Thinks Shiho.

            “Yes! Yes! I see. Ok! Yes! Thank you! I’ll go tomorrow then! Yes! Thank you!” and so he hangs up.

            “Well, Sakuraba-san…”

            “Yes?”

            “How long has it been since you have been working as an editor?”

            “It’s been 3 years now. I was going to quit but then, I got appointed as an editor for sensei’s work. And there was always a competition on who gets appointed as the editor for sensei’s work. And so I came to know about him and his works. And it motivated to keep up and continue being an editor of such a famous and renowned mangaka.” Says Haru.

            “That’s nice!” replies Shiho.

            “So, um… Ogawa-san…”

            “Yes?”

            “Are we… you know… f-friends now?”

            “Of course!” says Shiho as she bursts out laughing at the red face of Haru. “I hope we get along well!”

            “Same here! I hope we get along well!” says Haru.

            “Un!” replies Shiho.

            The next morning, at Yuuta’s house.

            “Yo Sena! Did you see my phone?” shouts Yuuta.

            “Check on your work table in your room!” replies Sena.

            After some moments,

            “Ohoho! Found it Sena!”

            “Jeez Sensei! Try to remember where you keep your things!”

            “Sorry! Well, Hiro is not home yet…”

            “Oh yeah! He should have been home till now.” Says Sena.

            Just when the doorbell rings.

            “I guess it’s Hiro! I’ll open.” Says Yuuta.

            “Thank you sensei!”

            Yuuta goes and opens the door.

            “I’m back!” says Hiro.

            “Welcome back!”

            “Oh yeah Yuuta… Did you knew Haru is coming to home today. Did you knew that?”

            “Oh… I didn’t knew it. When is he coming?”

            “I guess… till 1pm or so he said.”

            “Oh! I see. I wonder why he is coming though.” Says Yuuta.

            “Welcome back Hiro!” says Sena.

            “I’m back Sena.”

            “Well, sorry for this sensei, but I have a friend coming over today! So I’ll take my leave! Bye bye!!!” says Sena as she leaves the house.

            “See you later Sena!” says Yuuta.

            Sena arrives at her home. Just when her doorbell rings.

            “Must be her!”

            Just when she goes to open the door. She opens the door.

            “Oh! Welcome Shiho-chan!”
