When I announced I was taking a break last year, I didn’t expect the hiatus to last this long, but I was going through a difficult time and couldn’t focus on drawing. Because of the US-Canadian border closure, Chan and I couldn’t see each other for a year and four months. Then, shortly after we were reunited, our beloved cat Kay passed away. We miss her so much, but we are grateful for the time we had with her, and that she lived a long life full of love and cuddles. She lived to be 16 and a half, which is quite an impressive age for a cat.
I’m now feeling well enough to draw again. I’m excited to continue sharing my life through comics, and Chan and I have plenty of stories. I’d also like to continue posting fun memories of Kay.
We’re also happy to announce that we have a new family member, a gray-and-white kitten named Bruce. He enjoys running from room to room, chattering at birds, and playing with this favorite teaser toy (which we have now bought for him three times because it keeps falling apart). I can’t wait for Bruce to make his comic debut.
Thank you for taking the time to read, and for your support. I’m very happy to be drawing again.
