They told B that she shouldn't have any dreams in hibernation. Just waking up tired and dehydrated. But the deep medically induced sleep held nothing but nightmares. She dreamed of all her bones breaking and healing over and over. Her screams dying out before crossing her lips. But she wasn't screaming in pain. She was screaming at the sight of the explosion that killed Agent A. It felt like it had lasted hours but the feelings of grief never faded an ounce.
She lashed out trying to fight the dream away. To her surprise she hit something.
The sound of cracking glass filled the room. Jason, the technician in charge of reviving the agents out of stasis, craned his head over his minesweeper game on his computer.
"Fuckin shit, are you awake already?"
He got up and walked over to see Agent B in as much of a fighting stance as one could be submerged in a blue jelly substance in a glass vat.
He inspected the spider web crack left by Agent Bs fist.
"You still have like, three days left. I would feel happy to sleep in if I were you."
Faster than you could blink, B threw another punch leaving a bigger crack. Jason flew back in surprise.
"Jesus Christ, fine!"
He rushed over to his computer, closed his game, and opened a new window. He moved the mouse and hovered over an icon that read 'REACTIVATE'.
