Samairah walked around the lobby glancing over her shoulder. She looked for a familiar face, biting her lower lip, she walked to the reception.
"Where is the guest in the Royal suite?" she asked calmly not wanting to give away the desperation.
"We haven't seen him yet", the well groomed front desk agent replied in a calm voice.
*Why am I disappointed? Its not like I won't see him again*
"Samairah, come to my office at 6", was the first thing she heard that morning. Akin's tone was, weirdly incomprehensible. She would have usually guessed what his request would be, by a slight change in his tone. Not today though.
Looking around one more time and looking at the giant clock in the lobby, she rushed to the elevator, not wanting to be even a few seconds late. The elevator door opened and she hopped in, immediately pressing the P button that would lead to the penthouse. Hands stopped the door that was almost closed. So Woon walked in.
"Good morning", he said as he stood beside her. Samairah looked at him, puzzled.
"Ah, security officer right?" He glanced at the nameplate, "Samairah... nice name", he said smiling politely.
Samairah looked up at the camera and chuckled covering her mouth.
"Oh yes Ms. Samairah, something was missing from my room yesterday", he said with a serious face.
"I'm sorry for the inconvenience, what was missing? I will inform the team right away to look for it", she said with equal seriousness.
He chuckled and whispered, "you". She looked at him for a while, her lips in a straight line; she resisted the urge to chuckle and looked back at the elevator door as it opened to the Penthouse.
"Why aren't you getting out?" asked Samairah turning back after exiting the elevator.
"I just came to drop you", he smiled as she walked out and the doors closed before him.
Samairah rushed to the Chairman's office, her cheeks turning red. She opened the door to his office, suddenly dropping the smile on her face.
"Yes?" She asked as she walked to the executive desk, where Akin sat nibbling on mint candy.
"We have a VIP who needs your assistance. Today on, you'll drive her. She isn't a celebrity so there isn't any schedule. Any questions?" He said in one breath.
"What about-" she stopped as Akin resumed talking. "Yes, So Woon, I have asked the Allen to assign another officer to him. Any questions?" She shook her head, her face now visibly dull.
He glanced to the door and to his watch just as it opened and a woman dressed in black glittery wrap dress walked in.
"Akin", the woman smiled.
"Speak of the devil", Akin exclaimed as they exchanged a hug. Samairah stood looking at the lady.
"Samairah, this is Mi Ran. You will be with her from today", Samairah nodded and walked to exit the room as the two settled down at the table, chatting.
"Oh Samairah, don't be gone now. Wait outside, I'll be there in a minute", Mi Ran said smiling.
"Yes ma'am", she said politely as she walked out.
She almost ran out of almonds while waiting for Mi Ran for an hour and a half outside the office.
"Ah, did you wait long? I lost track of time haha", Mi Ran smiled guiltily as she walked out of the office.
"It's not a problem maam", she bowed and smiled as pleasingly as she could.
"Shouldn't be!" Mi Ran smiled, her cold glare pinning down on Samairah. She smiled back nonetheless.

Swarovski, the name shone in diamond like lustre. Samairah stood behind the furious Mi Ran, as she complained to the sales girl who couldn't seem to raise her head to look her in the eye. Her custom made ring was taking an hour longer to arrive than expected due to shipping issues and the clueless saleswoman faced the wrath. She finally dropped the tantrum, agreeing to wait and look at something for herself in the meantime.
"Samairah, what do you think about this?" She asked, putting on five rings on five fingers.
"It's complimenting your fingers beautifully", she said while thinking of other words to appreciate jewelry, had Mi Ran decided to ask her opinion.
"This is nothing. You should see the ring I ordered for my fiance", she boasted. Samairah smiled politely.
"Don't you have a boyfriend? Since we're here, you should get something"
Samairah looked at her, blank for a second, and smiled back. "I don't know if it's a good idea-"
"A ring is never a bad idea, claim your man", she said as she put on another ring on her index finger. Samairah smiled as she looked at the one ring that immediately caught her eye. Mi Ran gestures to the terrified saleswoman to help her. Mi Ran grabs the ring from Samairah, "I see you have a good eye for rings", she smiled and handed it back to her. Samairah put the ring on her thumb and thought for a while and handed it over to the saleswoman. They walked to the counter.
Another salesman walked out handing over an overly decorated gift bag along with a smaller package. Mi Ran immediately pulled it all apart, digging in and pulling out the ring. A huge diamond embedded in its middle along a pattern with engraved letters on the inside. She rushed over to Samairah who now handed over a platinum card to the cashier.
"Ah your hotel must be paying a lot!" Mi Ran exclaimed as she eyed the card. Samairah smiled, finding it unnecessary to answer as it would invoke further unnecessary questions. Mi Ran shoved the ring in her hand in front of Samairah.
"How is this? How is it?" She shouted excitedly as Samairah struggled to have a proper look at it. She finally placed her hand on Mi Ran's hand holding the ring still.
"It's pretty", she said smiling as the cashier handed over her the bag. She said thank you as they exit the store.

"I have a date today, its been a while since I last saw him. This time I'll make sure he's mine", she says with a smirk as she looks out the window. The lack of a response irked her, she sighed as she looked at Samairah who seemed to be focused yet lost.
"I hate people like you", she said looking as cold as ice, then quickly laughed and continued, "people who don't talk a lot". Samairah looked back through the mirror, taking a deep breath as she looked back at the road.
"I hope we get along well", Mi Ran faked a smile as she turned to look outside again. After a 12 minute drive they pulled over at a fine dining restaurant. Samariah got out and opened the door for Mi Ran. She looked over her makeup once again before stepping out in her beige stilettos. She stopped at the entrance and turned to Samairah.
"You're not needed inside, so wait here", she said and turned around.
"Why? Are you disappointed?", she asked as she faced the door.
"Not at all", Samairah said as she put up the fakest genuine smile ever.
"It's good that you know your place". The sly smile on her face as she turned to the sliding door to the private room.
*Know my place? Who the f***k does she think she is*
She watched as Mi Ran entered the room; through the space, she froze as she saw the hand on the table; the bracelet. *Anyone can own a bracelet like that* she thought as the door closed before her. She walked out of the restaurant. Just as she opened the car door, her phone rang.
CEO it read as the black screen lit up. She let out a sigh as she picked up the call.
"You set me up with a first class jerk" she spoke first.
"Get back here before she does something. I have sent Allen to the restaurant"
"Why? What's wrong?" she asked as she got into the car.

"...well now since you know the truth about her. I also wanted to..", Mi Ran put the ring forward on the table.
"I am grateful for all that you have done for me so far and don't want to hurt you but this..", So Woon spoke but was cut off by her.
"It's okay. I just wanted to try my luck I guess. Let's just remain friends", she said with an awkward smile.
"But know this, just because you liked her I am not going to go easy on her. She deserves worse for what she did", she finished saying.
"I wouldn't ask you to. If this is right, she will pay", he said looking at the photos in his hand, pulling off the bracelet she had given him.
