Katsuki thought carefully in this situation. By that, he means making sure he didn’t cuss. “I’m this idiot’s... friend,” he reluctantly said. The girl stares at him, taking in everything about him under her scrutinizing gaze. She then notices the baby, getting wide-eyed at the sight of it. She looked like she was about to say something but luckily Kaminari jumped in to help him, drawing the girl's attention away from Katsuki.
“Hey, Emiko! Is mom home?”
Well, that explains who she is. If he is being honest though he wouldn’t have expected Kaminari to be an older sibling. If anything he screamed youngest. He is always doing things to get others’ attention. Though Katsuki wouldn’t really know what a younger sibling is supposed to act like, being an only child.
"Yeah! She's in the kitchen." The girl, Emiko, runs off. Presumably to the kitchen where her mother is.
Kaminari turns to him after she leaves, giving him a look to see if he is ready. Katsuki gives a small nod, reassuring the other. They both then walk into the house taking off their shoes.
Having not been there before Katsuki takes the time to look around the room. Directly in front of the door were stairs to an upper floor, which from where he was looked like it lead to a hallway. To the left of him was the living room. It was a pretty basic-looking one, the average tv, and couches. Off of the living room was the kitchen, or at least he assumed based on the smell of food coming from it. What caught his eyes was the plethora amount of family photos hanging on the wall. Kaminari must have noticed him because he pointed to one of the photos closest to them.
The photo was of a child holding what looked like a newborn baby. As he looked closer he realized the child was Kaminari, around the age of 6. He had a giant smile plastered on his face, his front two teeth missing, looking at the camera with the baby carefully held in his arms.
“This was taken the day Emiko was born,” The younger boy said looking at the photo, a fond smile on his face. Emiko must be 10 or so years old. “I remember being so excited to meet her, and when I finally did I begged my mom to take a picture of us. I wanted a way to always remember the day.” He looked back at Katsuki when he was done explaining, the fond smile still on his face.
“You must really love her.” Katsuki may not be able to relate fully but he can still tell that the other loved his sister. He feels the same way when he thinks back on the times he and his parents would spend time together when he was little.
“Yeah,” the other boy sighs out. “That was one of the best days of my life.” Kaminari then looks over at Katsu, who was grabbing onto Katsuki’s shirt and babbling to himself. “Well, maybe second to meeting this guy," Kaminari smiled at the baby, bringing his hand out for them, Katsu grabbing on almost immediately.
"Don't let your sister hear that," Katsuki smirked at the other, teasing the other.
Emiko walks back into the room, a woman trailing behind her. The first thing that came to his mind when he was her was tall. Even then tall was an understatement for the woman, even being across the room Katsuki can tell she would be at least a head taller than him. She was an exact copy of Kaminari, down to the lightning bolt in her hair. She was wearing a long yellow dress that reached to her ankles, her hair tied up in a messy bun. Emiko must have taken after their father.
“Denki! What are you doing here? Who is your friend?” Her voice had a nice rasp to it as she spoke. She glanced over at Katsuki before looking back at the other, “And who’s baby is that?”
Kaminari moved and gave his mom a hug, looking like a little kid still with their height difference. He then stepped back and introduced them to each other, “Mom this is Bakugou, Bakugou this is my mom.” After introducing them he stood there with an anxious smile on his face.
Recognition crossed her face as she turned towards Katsuki, “Yes! Of course, Denki talks about you all the time! You can call me Haya,” she says, moving closer to him.
“MOM!” Her son yells in embarrassment, his face turning red.
She looks at her son with a sly smile on her face, “What, it’s nothing embarrassing. Just how yo-”
“OKAY! Okay, we can stop there,” he anxiously laughs, waving his arms around.
Katsuki smirks at the antics, “You can just call me Bakugou.” He turned to Kaminari a shit-eating grin on his face, “You got something you're hiding?”
“Wah! No, why would you say that!”
Katsuki watched as the other freaked out trying to explain himself. Though it got interrupted when Katsu started crying, making his presence known.
“Hey, shh…” Katsuki rocked him back and forth, whispering soothing words. It wasn't long before Katsu fell back asleep.
Haya was looking at Katsu and him going back and forth before looking back to her son, “So… are you going to tell me who this little guy is?” She stares at her son, confusion crossing his face.
“Maybe we should sit down first,” Kaminari makes his way over to one of the couches, sitting down. When he noticed no one moved to sit down with him he pats the seat next to him, offering it out.
The first one to move was Emiko, running to go sit next to her brother. Once she plopped down on the couch she grabbed one of her brothers hands smiling up at him.
Haya moved and sat down on the couch across from them. At the time Katsuki sat down on the same couch as Kaminari, just on the other side.
Once they were all settled Haya stared at them, raising her brow, signaling for them to start.
The boys both looked at each other not really knowing how to start. Though he can see the panic flooding the other's eyes. Knowing the other doesn't want to start the conversation Katsuki spoke first.
“Well, Du- Kaminari and I got hit with a quirk not that long ago. Nothing happened right away so we just carried on with our day. Though when I woke up the little guy was in my bed,” he said, pointing at Katsu. Haya nodded along, giving her full attention. "We went to Recovery Girl, the nurse, to find out where he came from. That’s when we found out he is biologically related to both of us." He watched Haya's face the whole time he spoke, her eyes growing wider every second. She looked at Katsu, her eyes roaming over him in a trance-like state, looking for any resemblance between him and her son.
"Wait," Emiko looked around at everyone with wide eyes, "does this make me an aunt?" Her eyes were swimming with excitement. She leaned away from her brother, towards the other side of the couch where Katsuki sat.
It weirded Katsuki out how calmly she was taking this, it doesn't make sense how happy she is. If Katsuki put himself in her shoes, he would have been pissed. The thought of being an uncle, or an aunt in her case, so young weirded him out. But that could just be him, or kid logic? Though he won't question it as long as he doesn’t start crying.
“Well… I guess so,” Even if Kaminari answered he didn’t sound sure of it.
Haya seemed to be pleased with that as she moved back over to sit with her brother. Not that it stopped her from physically shaking from excitement.
“WAIT!” Haya yelled, being pulled out of her own trance. “This means I’m a grandma.” The last part was mumbled under her breath, Katsuki barely able to hear it.
Katsuki forgot to breathe for a second, afraid of what she might say next. He felt like he was going to have a heart attack when she started laughing. He looked over at Kaminari who was looking just as confused as him.
He looked back at his mom with concern, "Mom, are you okay?"
She was still laughing, though a bit calmer than before when she answered "I should have expected this from you."
"What does that mean!" Kaminari yelled, the shock blatant on his face.
"I always knew you weren't going to go the traditional route," she was done laughing, now just smiling tenderly at her son. "I mean you never even introduced me to your boyfriend."
Katsuki couldn't hide how wide his eyes got when she said that. She couldn't possibly believe he was dating Kaminari! Was she just thinking this because of Katsu? Well whatever made her think that needs to stop. He was about to correct her but got beaten by Kaminari.
"MOM! No, it's not like that!" He tried defending himself against his mother, "I'm not dating Bakugou. Not that it would be a bad thing! I bet he would be a great person to date, it's just -"
"Okay, okay, I get it." Haya stopped him before he goes on a tangent. She held her hands up like she was surrendering, "You two aren't dating. Now you both can stop burning up."
Katsuki didn't even realize how bad he was blushing. Shit, he didn't even know he was blushing. Though if he was as bad as Kaminari he's in trouble.
Not sensing the embarrassment, Emiko continued the conversation, "What's his name?"
Katsuki should slap himself in the face. How could he be fucking stupid enough to not mention his own son's name? "His name is Katsu, Kaminari Katsu."
"What a wonderful name," Haya seemed to genuinely like the name. Katsuki won't admit it but he was glad she did. He didn't even want to know what it would be like if she didn't like it. "Though, I have to ask, why did you go with Kaminari and not Bakugou?"
The question took him by surprise. If he was being honest he didn't even think twice about using Kaminari as the last name. "Well, Kaminari was the one to persuade me to keep Katsu so it was only fair, and I picked his first name."
The conversation flowed naturally after that, talking about school and family. Kaminari comes from a huge family and they all live in the same area, shit, his grandparents live down the street. They also talked about Katsu, mostly how cute he was. Not long into the conversation, Emiko ran to her room saying that she had something important to do. Katsuki questioned it in his head but deemed it normal since neither Haya nor Kaminari reacted. Around that time Haya asked to hold Katsu, excited to get a good look at her grandson. She instantly loved her grandson. Just one look at him and she knew she would do anything to protect him.
