Maya
Me and mom got out of the car. We start walking on the grass. I stop in front of dad's grave. “Hey dad.” Mom walks over to me and puts her arm over me. “Today Maya’s 15th birthday, I know right, they grow way too fast.” She shoves me a bit. I look up at her, we both smile. I look back to his grave. “Can't believe it's been almost 4 years without him.” I look back up to mom, she’s crying. I hug her tight and she hugs me back. I feel tears fall from my face now.
We turned down a road, and we came up to a building. We pull in and park and get out and walk to the doors. There's a sign that says out of business. “It’s been out of business for a while.” mom tells me. “Oh.” i say. “I was actually thinking about buying it.” I turn and look at her. “Want to know why this place is so special to me?” she asks. “Why?” We walked back. I look up, it says. Paul’s arcade. “Wait, on that coin dad gave it says the exact same thing.” I look at her. “This is the place where me and your dad very first met.” I smiled at her. “An arcade, you and dad were into arcades?” I ask. She smiles. “Yup, our favorite game was pac-man.” she tells me.
Millie
Christopher and I walked over to the swings where his friends are. “What up Chris.” his friend Elloit says walking up to us. The others follow behind. I look around at all of them. Shit my ex is here. I walk over to her. “Millie!” She rushes over and hugs me. “Please don't, you're lucky I'm actually going to talk to you.” She lets go and looks at me. “Oh ok sorry.”
We all start walking on the sidewalk. “So Millie, why'd you break up with Avery?” Elloit asks. The others all look at me. “It’s none of your business, besides it's my fault.” Avery says. She looks at me with a sad smile. “Hey Millie?” I don't say anything, but just wait for her to talk. “Can we still be friends?” she asks. “What no.” I look forward, then back to her. “Fine.” She looks at me and smiles.
