Where Rollo had once stood had been reduced to a crater covered in dust and debris. The crowd was silent.
After Rhea’s conjured eagle had collided with Rollo it dispersed. Rhea herself was on the outskirts of the cloud of filth. She stood ready as if she already knew what was to come next.
As the cloud dispersed, a small bubble of water protected a silhouette of a person. Rollo had survived. But not without any damage.
Although Rollo had managed to protect the brunt of the attack with his water projection ability, he still suffered the force from the momentum of the attack. He abandoned his bubble and took a step toward Rhea.
His injuries were much easier to see now. He had blood dripping from his nose and ears alongside scrapped hands. The only thing unscathed about him was his armor.
“If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were trying to kill me,” Rollo responded through a series of coughs.
Rhea smiled at Rollo’s banter. Replying innocently she responded, “If I’m going too hard on you just let me know.”
“Not a chance,” Rollo replied as he picked up his wand that had fallen on the floor, “Now it’s my turn.”
Starting with a bombardment of water discs, Rollo used his cover to form multiple sea creatures. Sharks, whales, orcas, and then some more ‘prehistoric’ animals such as mosasaur and brontosaurus. While these beasts still struck fear in many of the crowd's hearts, the head of his army, and most fearsome, was the infamous water creature, the Kraken.
“So you invited friends,” Rhea mocked.
“Only if that's okay with you.”
“Why not,” Rhea replied.
Finishing his recruitment, Rollo began moving his creatures around like chess pieces. Rhea simply stood still as she watched him finish.
Rollo commenced his attack. Sending his pair of orcas to Rhea’s flank he then directed one of his three sharks to attack head-on. A pretty simple attack but it accomplished what he wanted.
Predictably, Rhea released her shockwave of air which instantly deformed her three attackers. However, Rollo used the split-second window to send a gigantic tentacle from his Kraken down on top of her.
Unable to dodge, Rhea was forced to form two tiny tornadoes afloat in her palms. Similar to what happened with Rollo, the witch managed to survive the attack, but the sheer momentum was enough to bring her down to her knees with her hands callused.
Rollo used this opportunity to swarm Rhea with almost the whole remainder of his army. All that remained was a measly shark and a Kraken.
“Oh, you got to be kidding me,” Rhea muttered.
Recovering, Rhea was forced to form yet another tornado that rose close to 40 feet tall. Exhausted, Rhea was only able to hold the cyclone just long enough for Rollo’s army to be wiped out.
Falling back to the floor, a tired Rhea told Rollo, “That was quite stupid my dear.”
With his usual smirk, Rollo replied, “Was it?”
The seven remaining tentacles began to wind up as they prepared to attack. Rhea quickly dashed for Rollo trying to stop the attack before it could happen, but she was too slow and too exhausted. Knowing she wouldn’t make it in time, the witch prepared to dodge.
The first tentacle missed before it evaporated while the second one was able to scrape Rhea’s arm. Dodging the third and fourth one with small gusts of wind to aid her, Rhea was then caught off guard and hit directly in her gut by the fifth.
Sending her dozens of yards back, Rollo began slowly approaching her with his Kraken floating above him. Although she was choking on her own blood, Rhea managed to stand up.
“Don’t you know when you’ve lost,” mocked Rollo.
“I was ready to ask you the same thing,” Rhea responded.
Furious, the sixth tentacle made a swift downwards motion but was cut short by Rhea’s slashes of wind.
“One more you know,” Rhea reminded.
Using his seventh and final tentacle to serve as a distraction, Rollo dashed forward to where he perfectly predicted Rhea would dodge.
Unfortunately for Rollo, the witches' cold and bruised hands caught him by the throat. The pure shock of being manhandled forced him to drop his whip-like weapon.
Using her power to deprive Rollo of oxygen Rhea then simply stated, “I like you, yield.”
Being allowed to breathe, Rollo coughed desperately before replying with a laugh, “You know, sharks are very smart predators, they aren’t foolish to take on most opponents head-on.”
Quite cheesy, but his threat was proven to be a warning when the shark that had nearly completely disappeared lunged at Rhea from behind.
Caught off guard once again, Rhea was now staring death in its face-literally.
Cuvush.
‘What? How? Wait, what just happened.’
“Damnit,” Rhea muttered under her breath, “I really didn’t want to use that move.”
Turning towards a shocked and panicked Rollo, the cold and seductive witch just smiled.
“It’s been fun,” She said, before slamming the poor child into the cold, hard ground.
