The Seven Sins Series

Levi woke up to someone knocking on his door, and his gut tightened. He remembered the night before and realized that Elijah and Greyson must be outside his door. They said they were taking him out to breakfast, and he was too panicked and emotional to say no.

"Levi!" Elijah's voice called through the door. "Are you asleep or just ignoring us?!"

Pushing his tattered sheet off, Levi ran over to the door and opened it a couple of inches.

"Sorry, I just woke up," he said, not looking into either Greyson or Elijah's eyes. "Uh... I need to get dressed."

"You don't have to wear anything," Elijah said, his eyes looking up and down the parts of Levi that he could see.

Greyson sighed loudly. "Elijah, leave him alone," he scolded. "Do you want us to wait in the car or can we come in?"

Levi knew his house was a cluttered mess and there were random blades and knives all over that would catch their attention. The last thing Levi wanted was pity for the choices he made and things he'd done to himself.

"Could you wait in the car?" he asked, and while Elijah narrowed his eyes in suspicion, he sighed and turned away.

Greyson followed right behind him.

Levi tugged on his favorite long sleeve and a pair of his nicer jeans, hoping that Greyson wouldn't bring up the cuts he probably saw the night before. Before he left, Levi grabbed the jacket Greyson let him use and locked his door, finding the car right in front of his apartment.

The car was already running, with Elijah humming in the passenger seat and Greyson in the driver's seat.

Levi climbed in the car, buckling in and lowering his head, playing with his fingers.

"I brought your jacket back," Levi said after a few seconds of silence, surprised that Elijah wasn't already running his mouth. "Thanks for letting me use it."

Greyson smiled and looked into the rear view mirror so he could see Levi. "You can hold onto it if you want," he said, catching a glance of the blush on Levi's face. "It looks better on you than it does on me, anyway."

"Are you two always this flirtatious?" Levi asked, making Elijah giggle and a small smile tug on Greyson's lips.

"Only with each other and you," Elijah said, turning around and reaching out his hand for Levi, frowning when he was ignored. "I told you that we're soulmates, so I won't flirt with anyone but you and Greyson."

Levi bit his lip, as he usually did when he was nervous, not realizing how hot Elijah found it. "I don't know what you mean," Levi said, eyes still on his fingers. "People don't have soulmates. We can't just tell which person is meant for us."

Elijah made eye contact with Greyson, silently begging him to allow Elijah to tell Levi who they really were.

Greyson shook his head. "Wait until we're all sitting down at breakfast," he said, reaching over and taking Elijah's hand in his own. "You'll understand soon, Levi."

Levi didn't know how to respond, so he just nodded and looked out the window.

The cafe they entered was mostly empty, and Greyson quickly ushered his boys, well his boyfriend and the boy he was trying to seduce, to a table in the corner.

Elijah ordered for everyone, both drinks and food, before setting down the menus and staring at Levi, who was sitting across from Greyson and Elijah.

"So, you said you were going to make me understand why you're convinced I'm both of your... soulmate?" Levi asked, but the two didn't respond until the barista had given them their drinks and food and was gone from the table.

Elijah grabbed his drink, a grin on his face, and took a long drink. "I love hot chocolate," he purred, before addressing Levi's question. "And yes, we're going to explain what we meant."

"It's a confusing story," Greyson said, much more relaxed than his partner was. "Can you promise you will sit here and hear us out without running away again?"

Levi bit his lip again, not seeing Elijah's lustful stare. "I'll stay," he promised, picking up his tea and taking a sip, the warm liquid relaxing him and taking away some of the tenseness in his body.

Elijah bounced on his seat in excitement, but Greyson's hand on his shoulder was enough to soothe him and calm him down.

"Do you believe in demons?" Greyson asked.

Levi narrowed his eyes. "What?"

"Answer the question," Elijah encouraged.

"Um... I don't know. I've never really been religious," Levi said, not sure where the other two were going with this.

Greyson took a deep breath. "Well... they're real. Elijah and I are two of the higher ranked demons," he said, waiting to see how Levi would take it.

Levi was not impressed. "I knew I shouldn't have come," he scowled, getting up to leave. "I should've known that people like you don't actually care. I can't believe that I was stupid enough to entertain the idea of fucking soulmates."

Elijah looked heart broken. "Wh-What are you talking about?" he asked, his bottom lip trembling when Levi looked at him with disgust all over his face.

"People like you... rich people who pick someone out and follow them around to make fun of them because it's funny for you to see hope in broken people's eyes!" Levi shouted, not caring if people overheard.

Greyson stood up, allowing his demon side to take over and make his eyes glow in anger and desire to keep Levi for himself.

"Stop yelling and sit down now," he growled, his skin shifting to a dark grey color.

Levi obeyed in seconds, eyes wide as he saw Elijah touch Greyson's arm and make his skin go back to its normal peach tone. He was too scared to ask what was going on, so he stayed quiet, watching Greyson calm down and Elijah working to soothe his partner.

"It's okay," Elijah purred, touching Greyson's cheek and kissing his lips. "Take a deep breath."

Levi didn't understand the pang of jealousy he felt when he saw the two kiss. "Wh-What was that?" he asked, confused as to why he didn't feel as afraid as he thought he should be.

"He got greedy," Elijah said, rubbing Greyson's back as the latter closed his eyes and calmed down. "His demon side wants you, so he got upset when you tried to walk away."

Greyson let out a gruff sound of agreement.

"Y-You're really... demons?" Levi asked in a hushed voice, not knowing another explanation for the literal illumination of Greyson's eyes and the changing of his skin.

Elijah nodded. "High ranking ones at that," he said with pride in his voice.

"High ranking?"

Elijah nodded with a malicious look in his eyes. "The highest ranking demons under our Master."

Levi didn't know whether to run or not. He was scared in his head, but his body was no longer tense and he felt weirdly safe. There was something in his gut telling him that he wasn't in danger, something that almost made him want to believe the confusing story he was being told.

"If you're a high ranking demon, why are you not in Hell?" Levi asked, even though he didn't know anything about whether or not Hell was even real.

Elijah giggled. "How can we bring chaos to Earth if we're in Hell?" he asked. "We decided to stay on Earth unless our Master needs us, so we use our abilities to benefit ourselves. He has other demons that he can use."

"And, you can't find your soulmate unless you're on Earth. We don't feel anything but lust in Hell, whereas on Earth you can feel love through a soul connection," Greyson said, fully relaxed and ready to inform his other soulmate. "Elijah and I are soulmates, and you belong with both of us."

Levi shivered, but he didn't know why. "I... I don't know what I'm supposed to say or do," he mumbled, picking pieces off of his scone.

"Come to the mansion for dinner," Greyson said, but it sounded more like an order. "We'll all introduce ourselves and you can talk to Kayden. He's the only human in the mansion."

"Okay..." Levi said, intrigued despite his fear. "Are the other ones high ranking, too?"

Elijah nodded. "The highest ranking," he said proudly. "We're pretty well known in religions, even if they don't know that we actually exist."

"You're well known?"

It was Greyson's turn to nod. "Yes. You're the soulmate to two of the Seven Deadly Sins, beautiful."

Levi was thankful he had eaten and had sugar in his blood, or he was sure he would've passed out.

That was, until twenty three year old Levi entered Greyson's jeweler store and the two sins immediately felt drawn to him. They could see his purity, but they also sensed a dark past and pain in his heart.

The two crave the purity of their soulmate, but they must learn how to embrace their broken love and put him back together.
