The Seven Sins Series

Craving Purity C18

Craving Purity C18

May 23, 2022

Elijah left Levi and Greyson once Levi had fallen asleep and Greyson was keeping him from feeling alone by holding him tight. For years when Elijah was mad at Greyson and didn't want to confide in him, he'd go to the other sins and ask for help.

Since Lexi was gone for the night, Elijah decided to go see Winston, since he and Winston got along pretty well and Elijah hadn't seen him in a few days because Winston kept disappearing into his room or wasn't present.

Winston was a complicated person.

Unlike the others who didn't let their demonic side control themselves, Winston allowed his darker side to take over leaving him always bitter and angry when he could choose to be happy. Not only that, but he was the only sin who had an obvious physical power, being that he could create flames on the palms of his hands.

Elijah tried for the longest time to help Winston find a way to be happy, but then he learned that Winston didn't want to be cheerful or push his demonic side away. He liked letting his anger have control; he loved how ruthless and powerful he could be.

It was scary for the other sins, as they feared for Winston's future soulmate, but they discovered that even in his anger and desire to stay enraged, Winston could show kindness and be soft and caring when it was necessary.

In fact, for the past week Winston hadn't scorched a wall or picked a fight. He hadn't even scheduled a boxing match, and Winston was a professional boxer who loved to travel and fight so he could make money to blow on booze and clubs where he could get laid a few times a week.

All of the sins were convinced that he didn't actually care for his soulmate, except for Elijah  and Lexi. They believed all of the sins' soulmates were out there somewhere, Winston included.

Elijah made a plate of cheese, crackers, and cookies as a peace offering so he could borrow some of Winston's time to talk about his anxiety over Levi. He knew Winston could help; while Lexi took him shopping to deal with his worries, Winston took him to work out or throw knives to get a different outlet.

He got to Winston's door and heard talking, but what was more surprising is that it didn't sound like he was on the phone, because someone was responding.

"Winston?" Elijah called, knocking on the door before turning the surprisingly unlocked knob. "Who's yelling?"

"Elijah, don't-" Winston bellowed, but before Elijah could even understand what he meant, someone shoved the door open, making Elijah spill his tray of food.

Elijah gasped as a boy not much smaller than himself landed on top of him, before trying to sprint away, but Winston caught his waist and dragged him back into the room.

Before Winston could slam the door on him, Elijah pushed his way into the room and slammed the door behind him, gaping at an angry Winston holding on tightly to an equally livid boy with pale skin, brown eyes, and he looked a lot younger than Levi.

"Winston, who is this?" Elijah asked, watching the boy try to kick and punch his way out of Winston's grip, but it wasn't working at all. "How old is he?! Fifteen?!"

Winston scowled. "First of all, even if he was, I'm not human so it's not illegal," he grumbled.

"We may be demons, but even we aren't pedophiles," Elijah said, glaring at the duo, the younger boy finally growing tired and ceasing his fighting since he wasn't doing anything. "He's an adult at least, isn't he?"

"He's twenty one," Winston said, setting the boy on his bed and shooting him a look that told him to stay where he was. "And he's kind of an asshole."

The boy's jaw dropped. "You kidnapped me you fucking piece of shit!" he screeched, standing up and rushing over to Winston to hit him but finding himself with his hands caught in Winston's grip and being thrown back on the bed.

"You kidnapped him?" Elijah asked, his voice dropped to a whisper. "Why would you do that?!"

The boy laughed. "Yeah, why don't you enlighten us both?" he asked, clear annoyance in his tone. "You told me you're a demon which I only believe because you burned the wall when I tried to escape the first time but you still haven't told me why you took me, fucker!"

"Watch your language," Winston scolded, making the boy roll his eyes. "And I think you can guess why, Elijah."

Elijah's eyes widened, his mouth dropping open. "You found..." he trailed off, gaping at the boy. "Where?"

"A plane on the way back from my last fight," Winston said, sitting down and pulling the boy into his lap despite the latter's arguing and bitter words. "He's mine and my demon won't let me leave him."

"Hey, handsy!" the boy growled, struggling to get out of Winston's grip. "I'm not 'yours' and I don't appreciate you touching me!"

Elijah glared at Winston. "You better get control over your damn demon, Winston. Is it fair to let him live a life with your anger bubbling all over the place?" he asked, making Winston growl and tighten his grip on the boy.

"Ow!" the boy exclaimed, and Winston finally let go. "That hurt, imbecile!"

"Sorry," Winston mumbled, his eyes showing sorrow but his body tense and showing no remorse.

"What's your name?" Elijah asked, holding out his hand to the boy.

"Tristan," he said, but he slapped Elijah's hands away. "And I don't willingly let demons touch me."

Elijah raised an eyebrow. "You'll have to meet my human boyfriend," he said, leaning against the bedpost. "He's not as hot headed as you, but I think you'll get along."

Tristan glared at him. "Is he kidnapped, too?" he asked, crossing his arms defiantly.

"No," Elijah responded, offended that he would be paged as a kidnapper as well. "He chose to move in with us, actually."

"Yeah, just like I chose to move in with this asshole," Tristan hissed, earning a glare from Winston, which he ignored.

Elijah sighed, knowing he wouldn't get anywhere with Tristan until Winston decided to embrace him and make him feel loved.

"Alastor wants to know if you'll be going to the celebration," Elijah said as he stood to leave, deciding he could rant to someone else.

Winston looked at Tristan and bit his tongue. "It's still four months away," he said. "Maybe."

"That's not a yes or no answer."

"I never said you were going to get one."

Elijah rolled his eyes, stomping over to the door.

"Goodnight!" Tristan called, faking sweetness. "Have fun setting up a play date with me and your bitch!"

"Don't fucking call him that," Elijah growled. "Are you expecting to keep him a secret?"

Winston shrugged and flopped back on the sheets, keeping Tristan's arm in his hand so he wouldn't try to run away again.

"Probably," Winston said, closing his eyes. "I don't need everyone bullying me because I can't control this brat."

Tristan huffed. "Good luck," he grumbled. "You're never going to control me."

"Greyson!" Elijah whispered, rushing back into their room and climbing on top of his soulmate. "You're awake, right?"

Greyson groaned and opened his eyes. "Babe, I love you, but I'm so tired," he said.

Elijah was definitely a night owl, whereas Greyson could fall asleep at nine every night if given the choice.

"But I need your attention right now!" Elijah whined, sitting on Greyson's stomach, keeping his voice hushed so he didn't wake Levi up. "It's important!"

Greyson grumbled about not being able to sleep with Elijah in the room, but he sat up and forced his tired eyes open so Elijah knew he was paying attention.

Elijah began a tangent about Winston finding his soulmate and everything he'd just heard from Winston about the kidnapping and how much Tristan seemed to hate his soulmate.

"Did you talk to him about our situation?" Greyson asked, looking over at Levi.

"No," Elijah said, sliding off of Greyson and climbing into bed next to Levi and embracing his sleeping body while Greyson spooned their human beloved from behind. "We need to stay close to him. Maybe the guy didn't recognize him, but if he did, I don't want my baby in danger."

"He won't be happy if you're watching him work for four to six hours at a time," Greyson mumbled, lowering his voice even more when Levi shifted in his sleep with a groan.

Elijah huffed, pulling Levi's head to his chest and kissing his hair. "I don't care. He's ours and I won't let that man break him again. Imagine how shattered he'd be if the guy touched him! He was dead to the world and terrified after seeing him!" he exclaimed, his raised voice making Levi wake up and groan.

"What's going on?" he asked, voice thick with sleep.

Greyson shook his head at Elijah, earning him not to start worrying Levi when he should be sleeping.

"Nothing, baby," Greyson whispered, kissing the back of Elijah's head. "Go back to sleep. You have work tomorrow morning."

Levi hummed in understanding, kissing Elijah's lips before falling back asleep.

Book I in the Seven Sins Series

Greyson and Elijah, two of the Seven Deadly Sins.

They got lucky, as they were soulmates and didn't have to search the country or even the world for their spiritually intertwined soulmate.

However, even with the connection the two shared, they always felt that something was missing from their shared lives, but they didn't know what it was.

That was, until twenty three year old Levi entered Greyson's jeweler store and the two sins immediately felt drawn to him. They could see his purity, but they also sensed a dark past and pain in his heart.

The two crave the purity of their soulmate, but they must learn how to embrace their broken love and put him back together.
