Kei woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. There were still a couple of weeks of the summer holidays left and he planned to make the most of it, including sleeping in and indulging in all kinds of different foods.
He had three fights today, nothing too difficult he figured. As usual, it would either be against Vamp or a few of the other idiots. He didn’t have a particularly high meaning of them. They were weak and replaceable.
He longed to include people like Vamp in their category, but comparing them to Vamp was like comparing a lake to an ocean.
Compared to the universe an ocean is still pretty small, but an ocean has distinctly more influence on the planet than a lake.
The planet being the town he lived in.
Kei got up, quickly fixing himself some breakfast.
He had to go shopping sometime the next few days, preferably after work.
He hoped he didn’t have to fight the annoying bloodsucker again.
Kei was pretty sure Vamp’s a vampire. The signs were pretty clear. The only thing that bugged him is that Vamp is strong, but he couldn’t find any vampires near his level in miles.
And,
well, you couldn’t recognize any of the fighters because of some
kind of magic that covered their features or something, so no matter
how shitty (or torn) the costume, the person still won’t be recognized, something he was annoyed and relieved by at once.
His first fight that day was shortly after midday, so he hurried up and got ready. He felt kinda lazy so he choose to teleport near the fighting ring.
Upon entering he was amazed when he saw how many species were gathered today. There were vampires, elves, mages, shifters, fairies and more.
He once had a gay friend that got called fairy at school. Instead of starting to cry or getting angry the kid burst out laughing and only managed to pull himself together after several minutes.
Kei still wanted to beat up the homophobe.
He didn’t though. Anyone dare say he isn’t merciful or doesn’t take his friends wishes into consideration.
He quickly got ready and entered the ring. After around thirty seconds a group of young adults entered as well, two weres and a vampire along with two humans.
The werebear was the most dangerous, followed by wolf and vampire.
Over all, they didn’t pose any trouble at all. Kei made a show of using their attacks against them, letting them collide with each other and the floor.
It was mostly raw force from the weres as well as two swords from the vampires, and some martial arts on the humans part.
It was surprisingly entertaining.
After the fight (he won, obviously) he walked over to Miller, thanking him again for helping him moving and grabbing his pay before walking around the room, socializing and gathering the money people gave him for his performance.
On Friday night Miller would give him a small amount of the money he made from the betting center.
He just hoped he’d be able to scrape enough money for the school trip together.
They’ll go to Romania, to be exact, Transylvania. It was vampire territory, the village near their cabins called Blood Fields, with a surprisingly small amount of vampires for the name.
In the next city were the local vampires headquarters. He had some work to do there, because he gained the title of a Lord when he was younger through a favor he did them.
Once he actually got involved into their politics, there was no escaping.
Well, at least he managed to start a campaign about better food sources for them and successfully expanded the income of blood as well as got them to build more blood centers were they gave out or sold the blood, depending on amount and quality.
But now he needed to attend a court meeting for the proceedings of his campaign and everything else they want his opinion on. He was really unfortunate, wasn’t he? At least he got paid...
He figured he somehow had to sneak away during the class trip and just hope that there weren’t any activities planned. Or he’d have to play sick.
Kei was pretty strong. He had many different powers, but sadly, time traveling or duplicating himself weren’t one of them.
He was able to travel through most of the realms though, and sometimes he would use his powers quite excessively.
Hell, he even managed to make his own realm, Sacred Grove, with the guidance of a few of his parents where he used to play when he was younger, built literal (and often only half-finished) castles, flora and fauna.
Or, well, he tried.
Some animals just don’t work very well together and some plants need more or less water than he assumed.
But hey, most of them survived (through frequent replanting) and some animals maybe were just not ready for the wilderness yet?
Anyways, his current
project was a castle build only of ice. Kinda cliche, but it helped
him developing his powers better because water magic wasn’t exactly
his strongest suit. He got a lot stronger through it.
Kei jumped when suddenly a piece of paper appeared before him. It was white-brownish with yellow and green flowers printed all over it.
Kei gulped, opening the paper carefully. Fortunately, this time nothing happened. Well, he was still in human territory. Inside he could only see two word written in capitals only.
Seemed like his parents wanted him to come home.
