Waking up late into the morning Jude is quick to get dressed and ready for the day eating another caffeinated Nutri-cube to get the grogginess of a bad sleep out of themselves. Putting on their Goggle Visors the visors awaken and start showing the morning routine. With a message popping up. 'Family Routine: Currently for Saturday Alice Storm is at the park on level 5 with Aurora Storm. Judith Storm is currently out with her father for visitation for the weekend. Please Set a schedule for today.'

"I forgot about these stupid schedule things..." Jude sighed through the words sitting on the table. Before getting a text from Regi. "Hey come outside." Was all it said.

Jude raised an eyebrow and got up brushing their overalls straight and wiping some of the jell of the nutri-cube off their lip before opening the door stepping onto the open-air walkway of the apartment block. They glanced around before glancing down at the ground level and they had to force their jaw not to drop. Standing on the paved walkway was a tall drink of a man, built like a mix of teddy bear and grizzly. Like a softer version of Mr. Davenport Aside from the milk chocolate colored skin that he got from his mother. but the soft lightly bearded face was a clear give away that it was Reginald. Regi waved up at Jude smiling happily motioning if he could come up. It took Jude a moment to muster the will to nod yes. Stepping back from the railing they again adjusted their suit to try and remove any wrinkles. Regi walks over he had the definition of a dad bod, chubby with hints of muscle, a small curly brown beard and brown autumn eyes. That Jude was currently trying not to get lost in for a second. As Jude glanced away from them, they noticed the biggest change... A robotic hand it was almost a perfect human replica, but the skin was wrong and there was hints of the mesh wearing on the finger tips. Before Jude can remember to speak Regi fakes a cough to drag them back to reality.

"Noticed quick... Yeah this and one of my legs are all cybered out. Had my hand broken and leg got a lot of bad chemical burns..." He says covering the robotic hand with his human one awkwardly. Making Jude look up at him.

"Sorry... Just never seen that model... Must be a ArkTech newer one... all the smugglers usually got were old tech taken off bodies or stuff... it looks good. You look awesome dude..." Regi smiles softly at that and nods.

"It actually is one I helped make... I did a lot of the neural link code myself while I was recovering... make it feel more real." He says happy to talk tech stuff as they walk in Jude closing the door behind them. "Helped them get my tattoos right on my leg but I can show you that later." He says happily walking to living room and moves his fingers against his ring a little making the television display pop up and turn on some upbeat music. Motioning to Jude to take his Visor off which they do and hands them to him. Regi takes the ring off and visor glasses out of there pocket. Putting them in a drawer and closing it.

"Just in case. Although I checked this place out already should be clear but when I'm not actively in the software I'd rather not have those able to listen in." He says and Jude nods in agreement sitting down with Regi.

"I can't believe you're in the resistance... I was sure you'd be some military super tech guy by now... You always talked about being in the military like your dad and loved playing with stem kits..." Jude says still surprised but smiles warmly.

"Yeah... I probably would have been a tech guy but... I guess my military love got lost as I started hearing more and more rumors from resistance chatrooms or old messages I found online when I was a teen." He says thinking back a moment. "But you got half of it right... just for almost a year now I've been a tech guy for the resistance... mainly helping them hide their activities better... making sure their stuffs not bugged. and helping to get messages out there for recruiting... which is when I started hearing rumors about some mutant's trying to help people with a human helping them... that's where I found you..." He says lightly glancing over Jude who smiles lightly.

"Yeah, but why didn't you tell me right off the bat who you were I would have agreed to this plan a lot easier if I knew you were the one helping me..." Jude questions softly turning to face him more. "Also Red? Reginald Davenport? That's a dangerous nickname there, mister secret agent man~" they say in a teasing tone getting a light shove out of Regi.

"Hey, it tricked my best friend. and it was my team leader's idea. But I had to make sure you were you... I couldn't do that from snuck around messages and micro video clips in encrypted signals... So the only way my team would help me sneak you in with that cover story was make sure you got the full check out by border control which you did and passed... Plus you remembered the nick name and seem like you so all clear... and that better image of your abilities... that helped your credit with the resistance. My leader wants to meet you soon see what you can do in person... Tonight actually..." He says hopeful Jude will accept.

Jude sighs. "How is it I use my weird shit more in the human town then a settlement of outcasts and mutants... I'm not a preforming monkey you known..." They say laying back on the couch Regi laying back to still taller then then even sitting back like this. But only slightly.

"I know... But you got to understand we were all raised thinking anything close to Mutants was dangerous... even mutated plants... I know you don't call it a mutation because you aren't high enough in C energy but... it looks crazy, and you can't do that and be a totally normal human, so every other team are freaking out knowing we let you in... They want to see if your abilities safe and know what you can do." Regi says with a softer voice and a tone of understanding but insistence.

Jude sighs annoyed but nods. "Fine just. One time... I'm not giving them nightly shows or some shit. Tell them it's a one night only show so they better have all their tests ready... and I can't do it all night long this stuff drains me if I do to much or move to much around..." He says softly and smiles to Regi.

Regi chuckles and smiles. "Done... And hey I didn't need to know you couldn't last that's for your... well whatever you end up with..." He jokes with a smirk trying to lighten the mood.

Jude gets flushed and smacks his shoulder laughing softly. They spend the rest of the morning chatting Jude wanting to hear all about Regi growing up hearing about how he slowly learned more and more about the resistance and the government... All the information abuse and subtle and accepted forms of controlling people, the less then good life of those forced to live in the tunnels of the arks. The list of reasons not to trust the Ark could go forever especially after seeing all the bugs they added to Jude's stuff that they found with magic before. They treated him like a criminal just for being forced out of the ark as a kid against their will.

They spent lunch at a nearby soup and salad place at Regi's push. Most people were lightly chatting with their visors on but Jude and Regi didn't even take theirs out except to order and pay. They spent the time with Regi talking about life, how he went heavy into his technology hobbies when they were taken as a way to grieve and found even more passion for technology and software. Jude doesn't really have the knowledge to grasp half of it. They focused on other fields like agriculture and history. Or cultures and light psychology but hearing the happiness in Regi's voice being able to talk about it made it easy to focus on Regi's words.

On the way home Jude is smiling warmly enjoying the peace, a part of them forgetting their mission or the looming eye and arms of the ark.

"So, I'm guessing your distance with people is just you are hiding your distaste with ark government but... I hope you at least don't give up on your family and Alice... they care about you even if they are connected to something dark right now... Who knows how much they really know?" They spoke softly to keep it between them.

Regi sighs softly but nods lightly "I... Know but honestly, it's hard to look at them with a calm face... I am always worried they will notice something off or are just waiting to question me my anxiety has been on edge every time Alice calls me to check in or my mom and dad call me down to eat... and if I lose access to his backdoor access, it will be a lot harder to help the resistance and that could cost lives." He says softly more from feeling down talking about it then anything

Jude nods realizing they shouldn't force this much longer. "Hey.. it will be okay just remember... they are people... they don't see what the ark does can be wrong... my sister was hurt by a lack of control and security... your parents grew up thinking the arks were all there is... but they still care about you, and now you have another person on your side; and they are amazing~ speaking totally without bias of course." Jude says with a light laugh under their words. Smiling happily causing Regi to chuckle as they walk back to the Apartments.

Regi stops at the door to Alice and Jude's place. "Well, I have to get back to prepare for the meeting and tell them your conditions. I'll be here to get you after lights out. Leave your tech here and wear the jumpsuit I gave you. Its older tech is easy to hide on the tracking system because of my modifications." He says calmly with a soft smile.

Jude nods and chuckles. "First night out and you're already telling me what to wear?" They joke with a light smile. Making Regi pause for a moment before laughing lightly. They exchange goodbyes and Jude walks in closing the door. When they turn Alice is standing there staring knowingly making Jude jump.
