Chapter 5: Meeting my bias’ fellow member: Kudo Shigeru 

I was frozen in place, confused yet elated to meet Kudo Shigeru. My future dad rushed to the front door and blocked his fellow member from getting close to me.

“Why are you here?” Hifumi Tooru said, irritated at the unexpected guest.

“What? Is it really bad for me to come to your house, Tooru-san?” Kudo Shigeru pouted.

“Yes, it is”, my bias immediately replied. “I don’t think I've ever invited you to come here today, Shigeru.”

“Hey~ What’s wrong with me coming here without a heads-up? We have known each other for so many years to mind about such a little thing”, he smiled. 

“Well, I do mind it!”  My bias said loudly, making my mom come forth.

“What’s going on?” she asked worriedly. 

Kudo Shigeru looked at her and at me, bewildered at the sight of two women at his mate’s house.

“Huh? Why do you have…? Huh?” He pointed at my mom and at me. “Why are there two women in your house? Huh?”

My future father sighed and told him to come in, telling him that he’s going to explain everything. My mother was still confused by the situation and I just told her to prepare drinks and snacks for the guest with me.

As I came to the living room with the drinks, Hifumi Tooru was explaining to his member that I was his girlfriend’s daughter.

“Huh?! You never told me that the daughter was that old?!” Kudo Shigeru exclaimed as I put down the drinks on the table. I looked at him and he seemed embarrassed that I caught him saying that. My future dad was not pleased by his reaction and that led Kudo Shigeru to apologize to me. 

“Ah… I’m sorry, young miss. I didn’t mean to say that you were old. It’s just that I didn’t expect the daughter to be in high school”, he said while being conscious of my bias’ reaction. 

“Ah… No, it’s fine.” I assured him. “You didn’t particularly offend me.”

My mom came with the snacks and we both started to properly introduce ourselves to my future dad’s friend. 

“Hello, I’m Nakahara Michi. As you may already know, I’m Tooru-san’s girlfriend”, my mom warmly smiled. “It’s nice to  meet you.”

Kudo Shigeru smiled back to her and also started to introduce himself.

“It’s really nice to finally meet you, Michi-san! Tooru-san told me a lot about you!”

My mom blushed, feeling slightly embarrassed at the thoughts of her boyfriend talking about her to his friends. Kudo Shigeru looked at me, waiting for my introductiong.

“And I’m Nakahara Kumiko. And… Well, I’m my mom’s daughter”, I said awkwardly and felt extremely embarrassed from saying such an obvious fact.

I heard a slight chuckle and Kudo Shigeru complimented that I was cute, making me even redder than before. He asked my bias if it was possible for him to have me which almost led my future dad to beat him up. He immediately told him that he was joking but my mother still kept looking at him in disgust. She hugged me while saying that I should never be alone with him in the future. 

That day, my mom and my future dad almost tried to commit a crime and I was the only one that desperately calmed them down, saving a 30 year old man in the process.
