Chapter 15: Enjoying time with my bias’ coworkers

“You- Do you even know what that means?!” Kudo Shigeru, flushed, shouted at me. “You can’t just casually say that anymore!”

“Wait! I think she just wants us to innocently watch Netflix and chill…” Asata Hiroshi grabbed his shoulder to stop him from coming closer to me.

“Hmm.. yeah! She might actually not know that slang!” Nakatomi Shouta tried to remain calm but failed to do so.

“Oh, that! I do know what it means”, I bluntly said.

The three of them all looked surprised at my words and I shrugged it off.

“But I really meant to just watch Netflix and maybe chill with some popcorn”, I said.

They all sighed out of relief and I took the liberty to choose the show we were going to watch. 

All three looked awkwardly at each other and they looked uneasy for some reason. 

I didn’t think much about it and told them to relax and that I was going to prepare the popcorn and bring the drinks.

Four hours passed and we were all immersed in the drama. I suddenly heard the sound of a key opening the door.

“Ah! I think mom is back”, I looked at the front door and saw my mother entering the hallway.

I was the only one who noticed her and my mom was confused at the numerous pair of shoes at the front door.

She saw me sitting on the sofa and complained about the loud sound of the TV and asked me who I invited while walking to the living room. 

When she got nearer to the room, the HELIOS members awkwardly greeted her and my mother, taken aback, also greeted them back. 

My mom, confused about the situation, dragged me to another room and asked me what was going on.

I calmly gave out to her the made up explanation that I thought of just a while ago and she easily believed it. I told her that her boyfriend invited his members for dinner since she wanted to meet them and they all had time.

We came back to the living room as if nothing happened and Kudo Shigeru, Asata Hiroshi and Nakatomi Shouta were all politely standing up and they silently looked at us.

My mom broke the ice and asked them if they had a particular food that they couldn’t it. 

The three of them kindly replied to her about their food preference and they all looked at me afterwards, seeking for answers about the situation.

As my mother was preparing the food in the kitchen, I stayed in the living room for a while to explain the lie I just told my mom to them. I also had to inform them about how negatively my mom thought of them and warned them to behave for now. 

They all nodded their heads in unison and I went to the kitchen to help my mom like usual.

Two hours later, dinner was done and served on the table and my bias came back home. 

He was shocked to see his members at his home and almost screamed at them but he held himself back.

He looked at me, asking for answers, and I secretly texted him about the situation and gave him a sign to look at his phone. My bias noticed it and told the rest that he had to go to the bathroom.

After a few minutes, I received a text from him that he understood the situation and he came back to the living room soon afterwards.

Then, the six of us silently ate dinner.
