The silver wings of peerless mana distorted in the writhing atmosphere. Wukong's gaze snapped over as he bounced towards the convulsing energy. Vasura merely slanted his head, deciding to keep observing.
Wukong's fingers brushed onto the mana - as his form squirmed. He snapped his teeth idly, floating back onto the surface. His crimson irises scintillated in a casual inspection. "The presence is approaching us, now."
"Hostile? Cordial?" Vasura wanly interrogated, slipping his hands into his pockets - while his features snapped into a rather wary expression. "His mana itself feels slower..."
"Slower?"
"I'm not certain." Vasura shrugged in nonchalance, cracking his neck. The noise was moderately acerbic, unbothered. "Still, they're unarguably stronger than you."
Wukong lifted a challenging, yet rambunctious brow. His lips slid up into a grin of matchlessness - as he eyed Vasura with immaturity. "You want to get beaten by these powerful fists?"
"You and powerful? That would never mix."
"Sure. Sure." The staff-user dismissed, swaying his hand with an easy-going grin. Wukong glanced over, detecting someone blurring to where they were situated. "Oh, they're coming!"
Vasura snapped his head towards the outline: who stilled as they settled themselves onto a rusting roof-top. Sapphire hair flitted in the distorted air, silver eyes glistened in unwariness. "Khonsu?"
"Vasura." Khonsu hummed nonchalantly, inclining his skull with an amicable smile. He gazed towards Wukong: who looked between them - baffled. "Helios Wukong. Or simply Wukong."
"A pleasure." Wukong extended a sardonic hand, shaking the air for a sparse minute. He chuckled to himself, staring over to Vasura in confusion. "Who's Khonsu?"
"I am." The silver-eyed entity thrummed as a cordial sound. Khonsu pointed forward, his irises glinting with a trace of magic. "Look into the distance."
Wukong lifted a hand - stopping Khonsu: who flicked his gaze over in endless scrutiny. "I love looking into the distance. Still, Vasura and I are kinda stuck in this place."
"Look into the distance, then."
"Sorry, Khonsu." Vasura smirked wryly - while Wukong stared forward, an incredulous shimmer brewing atop his dubious features. "We're in a hurry."
Khonsu mumbled something unfathomable between his smooth lips, clapping as time crawled - pausing. Vasura blinked, realizing he was now inside a dungeon.
Runes encircled the surface, occasionally glistening in an unstoppable stride. Khonsu gestured a thin finger at the higher platform, where the depiction of a winged and horned individual stood. "A devil."
Wukong's gaze lowered to another series of runes, he crouched in dubiety - looking upon the symbols. "What's this one, then? It looks gloomy." The rune was rather cyanic, a crack inside its circular shape.
"The Death-Seekers." Khonsu drawled dryly, he hopped onto the platform. While the air hummed in rotation, and energy encircled Khonsu's form. "Vasura, you desire to return to your dimension?"
"I exist too!"
"I guess." Vasura nonchalantly shrugged, giving Khonsu a glance of unmatched mirth. "You're being more sociable." He noted with inner idleness.
Khonsu's lips snapped upwards, disregarding Wukong tapping the runes - laughing endlessly as they scintillated. "I suppose. Still, the connectors in this realm are long damaged."
"The realm you reside in is called Expany. Where humans live. Of course, other supernatural creatures are permitted to live in your dimension."
Vasura merely nodded in confirmation. This information was drilled into him by Karasuu and professor Krwn, the latter more vocal in his mentorship. "I'm aware."
Khonsu snapped his fingers, cascading his silver mana into reality. It writhed - as he slashed at the air, Wukong's body immediately collapsed, time warping. "I shall be leaving now."
"You can escape this place?" Vasura's lips snapped upwards; unimpressed, yet entertained. Glancing over to Wukong with an unconcerned laugh, Vasura felt the atmosphere thrum. "Could you help us, then?"
"Nah." Khonsu dismissed, gesticulating. He smiled languidly for a breathless second, his body glistering as he dissipated. Another clang of magical energy susurrated, as Wukong snapped into consciousness. "Help yourself."
Vasura wryly massaged the back of his head - and hummed with an amused laugh. "Lazy bastard." He murmured to himself, sauntering over to Wukong: who climbed back up to his feet, confusion encompassing his features.
Entering Vasura's Experience.
I sighed for a sparse minute, slipping my hands into my pockets as Wukong and I casually sauntered through the almost endless corridor. Wukong blinked, still feeling drowsy from Khonsu's moderately disconcerting spell.
He was capable of escaping dimensions. That was certainly a helpful ability, I felt rather vexed he decided to simply keep us in this unoccupied realm.
"Damn, Vasura." Wukong unappreciatively groaned, scratching the top of his head with a sardonic growl. "Your buddy Khonsu sure gave me an impressive gift, knocking me unconscious."
"Indeed." I smirked mirthfully, listening to Wukong as he groused indistinct noises - while everlastingly groaning. Still; perhaps knocking Wukong out was bootless. "You okay?"
"Peachy." Wukong retorted sarcastically, slumping his shoulders in a heavy stride of fatigue. He scanned his immediate sector, grouching. "Where are we, now?"
My irises peeked up, granting the expanse of runes an endless once-over. Humming to myself, I sauntered forward, crouching as I brushed my fingers along the surface.
These runes...They glistened in the presence of Wukong. Sighing, I stood back up - clicking my moderately sceptical gaze over to my restlessly yawning companion. "Wukong."
"Hm?" He lackadaisically enunciated, strolling over to me - while his features contorted; puzzled. I immediately noticed the runes shimmer with a humming energy. "Oh, those symbols."
I tapped a finger onto the markings, feeling as its energy dispelled. Disconnecting my finger, the almost brimming runes brightened back up - as Wukong's crimson gaze glistered until he chuckled. "This is pretty fun, eh?"
"I suppose." I sardonically smirked back. Wukong merely thrummed with another guttural laugh, while we both ambled through the corridor, noticing the entrance. "Now, we can-"
Wukong whizzed by me in an unstoppable stride, he rushed towards the entrance with a blistering grin. He blurred through the creaking door. "We escaped!"
I stepped forward, channelling a sparse amount of mana into my legs - as reality blurred, until I neared Wukong: who was languidly gazing upon the concrete. "You look...Affected?"
"Nah, more elated." Wukong blithely chuckled, summoning his staff while his fingers twinkled at an boisterous, yet endless pace. Extending his staff, he aimed it towards a rusted cliff. "To check who was watching us!"
I lifted a rather bemused eye-brow. That would be moderately disconcerting. I observed Wukong, he swayed his staff, colliding the weapon into the cliff's edge. "Concealing themselves, eh? Pretty impressive."
Still, I wasn't able to feel any presences. Or mana. Wukong's detection skills were unrivalled. Compared to mine, his ability to learn where an entity situated itself was completely superior. "Hm..."
The cliff shuddered as Wukong's staff crashed onto it, the atmosphere writhed until a grey, yet still crimson flame bloomed into the air. Wukong's staff clicked into smithereens, as he dispelled his weapon.
"Damn...Good one." An airy voice silkily echoed. I realized the individual's identity from her tone. Groaning, I slumped - while Wukong gave me an easy-going laugh. "What's up?"
Gaia Hell's irises were endlessly charcoal, her hair shimmering with a tint of white. She settled onto the concrete, clapping as the blistering flames immediately dispersed. "Professor Krwn noticed you both were missing."
"Oh? I surmised we were being kidnapped by angels." I sarcastically drawled, sighing. Gaia was similar to Karasuu, the two of them always desiring a form of entertainment to satiate their everlasting boredom. "I guessed wrong."
"Sardonic bastard." Gaia grinned unconcernedly, unperturbed by my attitude. She clicked her fingers, a clang of mana humming as she created a glinting, sapphire cube. "Come on, you wanna get back to the field-trip?"
Wukong glanced over to me, shrugging. He slipped his hands inside his pockets, casually eyeing Gaia, the latter merely humming. "Sure. Unless Vasura wants to live in this rusty place."
"Ironically, this dimension's called Rusteed." Gaia interrupted, flicking the cube - or connector - into the air. Her hand scintillated as she grabbed my shoulder, while Wukong grasped my neck. Ouch. "Now, to Exia."
"Exia-"
The puzzled distortion atop Wukong's bewildered visage immediately dissipated. His form warped as he intentionally squeezed my neck. Another ouch. Gaia tilted her head, granting me a grin of unmatchable humour.
Her body dispersed, as my own vision contorted into something unnatural. I heard the boisterous, yet lazy laughter of Wukong: who swayed his hand through the layer of protection. "You got a personal connector?"
"Nah. I stole it from Krwn."
"A criminal in our presence?" I smirked wanly - watching as Wukong almost drifted into the dimensional layer, only for me to grab his shoulder, flinging him back into place. "I'm terrified."
My feeling of existence writhed for an endless minute. I noted of the brimming silence, the lack of chuckling from Gaia, or vociferations from Wukong: who was always humming something.
"Odd..." I lazily murmured, my sapphire irises scanning existence itself. An intake of frosty, yet boiling air encompassed reality. "This is Exia, huh?"
I noticed the rather debonair, gargantuan barricades settled along the kingdom's sector. They scintillated with an azure, and crimson, shimmer. Slanting my head, I glanced towards the citizens - noticing their scales.
I heard a smooth, almost burnished susurration. Karasuu blithely sauntered over, standing behind me. I could feel his vision dryly gazing upon the scales entities. "Ironically. They're called Skales, but with a k."
Chuckling to myself, I snapped my head towards him. Karasuu's purple, almost endless gaze peered through the Skales: as if they were experimentations. Karasuu's scientific attitude was moderately disconcerting.
Deciding to inspect the kingdom of the dimension, Exia, my azure irises slid towards the uncountable paths. Instead of gates, the empire was protected by barriers. I felt the mana, someone monstrous powered them.
"Enough mana to sustain this large kingdom." I unmindfully murmured to myself, noticing Gaia place a lazy arm over my shoulder. Sighing, I interrogated. "What now, you maniac?"
"Damn." Gaia granted me a carefree, easy-going laugh, her charcoal eyes shuddering in feigned incredulity. She sarcastically eyed me, entertained. "You hate me a bunch, huh?"
"No." My alleged detestation for Gaia wasn't authentic. Perhaps amicable exasperation was a more suitable feeling. "Your need for entertainment's rather unsettling."
Karasuu...
She gave me another, more amused laugh. A languid, almost puzzled smirk blossomed atop her haughty, yet still unconcerned features. "What's the point of living in a boring world?"
I shrugged, as she disconnected her arm from my shoulder. Sliding her finger to her lips, she gesticulated with Professor Krwn's connector-cube. I needed to buy my own, dimension-hopping sounded sick.
Gaia cracked her neck, a physcotically elated grin growing on her face. She canalized mana into her cube, instantly dispersing. "And she's going dimension-bouncing."
Karasuu merely observed my moderately traumatizing conversation with Gaia before chuckling. I clicked my teeth, sauntering over towards him. "Ah, I love giving you mirth."
"Sarcasm is one of your strengths." Karasuu wanly complimented, flicking his coal-coloured hair. He was pretty popular in school - or spectral academy - for his [good-looks] or something. "Indeed, mirth is my addiction."
"I hate you."
"Sure." Karasuu retorted blithely; unconcerned. He stepped towards me, grabbing my arm before he hurled me into the welkin. Death by being catapulted by my buddy... "Now, let's get back to Wukong and the others."
I created another lifelessly writhing hand - only seen by me - as it grasped my body, slipping me through a circle. Contorting behind Karasuu, I tripped him up onto the surface. "Lost a bunch of mana. Worth it, still."
"Bitter much." Karasuu grouched to himself, climbing up to his feet, healing the gashes distorting his burnished skin. "I was testing your teleportation spell. You seldom use your unearthly arm."
"Secrets." I immediately growled; unamused. My teleportation spell - or [Disembodied-Communication] - allowed me to interact with the dead themselves. Lifeless magic, one of a kind. "No, back to the others."
Slipping my hands inside my pockets, Karasuu and I sauntered through the kingdom path. The Skales' culture was rather different to Expany's. Children were forbidden to learn magic until they were 17-years-old.
Karasuu was an acceptable source of information.
"The Skales' bodies are more stronger than a human's." Karasuu casually laughed, keeping a surreptitious gaze upon the scaled-entities. "They can control their scales to make weapons, or protective shells."
"Impressive."
Karasuu walked onto a floating platform of stairs. We both channelled mana into our legs, bounding towards the hotel, according to Karasuu. He slanted his head, thrumming for an infinitesimal second. "Vasura."
"Hm?" I lazily groused. Karasuu flicked his hand towards the hotel - as I noticed Wukong hung up on the hotel's glistering gates. "Why the hell are you stuck to the doors?"
"It was good place to sleep. I got captured by Lilih and she trapped me!"
Lilih was one of Wukong's other friends, excluding us, we were his squad. She was a mischievous, cheeky individual. She and Wukong were a duo of chaos. Still, I wasn't apart of her social group.
Karasuu formed his blade. The weapon-summoning spell, or [Weapon-Summon], a simple name, was always incredible. He slashed at the ropes of sizzling, electric mana, dispersing the energy.
"Thank you Karasuu! I promise to never inform anyone of your collection-..."
"Enough." Karasuu mumbled in umbrage, immediately dispelling his blade. Huffing inwards, Karasuu stepped towards the hotel's entrance. "And, no, Vasura. You shall never learn of my collection."
Exiting Vasura's Experience.
Karasuu sauntered towards Krwn: who ticked up the students' names. The latter noticed Wukong and Vasura, as he sighed in gruff relief. The professor slid a check onto their names, before walking into the hotel.
