Maurice face burned the second he could feel Alexander getting harder with his touch. Palms sweating, pupils dilated, his breath took on the speed of his racing heart. The humming in his ears got louder, his head started to spin. Wouldn’t the prince already be on his knees, he would be by now.
“You don’t have to do it. I only enjoy teasing you, little one.” Alexander hummed while taking the shaking hand of his bulge. His thumb stroke over the single vein popping out the velvety light skin of Maurice. He pulled the smaller hand towards his lips. Leaving small, soft kisses all along the back of the hand. The prince was unsure what do to and held still for the raven-haired man.
Alexanders eyes wandered over the soft hands, the slightly muscular arms and reached their aims at the meadowy eyes. Maurice swallowed hard as they made eye contact. The sapphire blue wasn’t filled with lust anymore, but more with a questioning expression. Asking for permission to speak up. The prince was unsure if he could ask what the raven-haired mind was holding onto. Maurice silence was the signal for Alexander to speak up.
“Why did your father talk bad about the prince?” Alexanders voice seemed calm; a hidden curiosity painted his words. Maurice was sure that his eyes showed the uncomforted the older one felt. Maurice fought the urge to ask about the supressed feeling but kept his lips sealed.
“There’s a legend about him. He is said to be very cruel. The ice prince it what they called him. Killing everyone that conquer his land. Even leaving the Gods speechless, with his actions.” A low growl echoed through the icy air. Maurice turned and looked in the stoic face of the older one. Alexander didn’t look happy nor sad. The atmosphere got as cold as the snow outside the cabin.
“I don’t think he’s cruel. He had to protect his people. The same way you will do one day.” The man explained his thoughts. The atmosphere lost its strangling powers. Alexanders tensed muscles started to relax as he saw Maurice’s scared eyes. The princes’ eyes were fixating on the muscle relaxing and flexing again. The darting back to the deadly blue. Maurice felt at unease. He didn’t mean to madden Alexander with his words. “Maybe. How would I know. It’s a legend.” A little chuckle left Maurice throat. Praying that the raven-haired man would take his words.
Alexander got up and looked down at the still sitting Maurice. The princes’ eyes followed the movement, clearly and with cautions. The man shock off the non-existing dirt off his clothes and looked back down. Maurice blood freeze. Unable to move or speak. Alexander reached out his hand, helping Maurice get up. The prince willingly took the hand and pulled himself up into a standing position. They were close. Too close in Maurice opinion. He was scared Alexander would hear his racing heart and furious thoughts. Even though the second option was impossible for a human.
The prince stepped back, looking up to get Alexanders reaction. A cheeky smile grazed the mans face. Maurice swallowed hard as the big hands came scaringly close to his face. Alexanders touch was soft, caring and somehow loving at the same time. No ill intention after all. He gently pulled Maurice closer, grazing the small lips with his thumb. Leaning down, lips almost touching.
“Legends are usually not as true as they might sound.” He whispered against the prince’s lips. Before leaving a slight kiss. Maurice closed his eyes, expectation more to follow. But besides a low laugh nothing came. Opening his eyes and responding with a quick speech.
“I know that. But it’s still scaring me to know that no one ever came back.” His words were stumbling over each other. The sentence was creating chaos in the red aura around them. Alexanders eyes spoke confusion. But before the man could speak, Maurice repeated his sorrows.
“And no one will come back with me.” His voice broke at the end. The painful truth coming back up. He was alone, no one would save him now. Alexander grabbed the cheeks of the younger, lifting his drooping face. “As I said before. I’ll bring you home. I come back home with you.” Affirmed the words he already promised hours ago. He wouldn’t let his little one goes alone. Even if he wasn’t welcome in his home. He would follow him and keep his promise. Alexander would never break one of his promises.
Maurice body started shakingly wildly. The memorise of the past few days came back up. Screaming inside his mind to end it all. That he was at fault, that he did all this. Wouldn’t he be selfish, everyone would still be save. Teary eyes and broken hearts, he confessed to Alexander what was on his mind. Tearing his soul apart. “Y-yes, m-me. The others are all d-dead. N-no one comes back with me, Alexander.” Sobbing’s breaking of his words. While Alexander realized the meaning behind them. Maurice was the last one, the one that made it. The one that had to life with the burden of survival.
Alexander pulled his little one closer, pressing him against his strong chest. Shocked over Maurice’s confession. Caressing his hair and whispering meaningless calming’s into the aching soul. “Not your fault. Everything will be alright.” But the tears wouldn’t stop, and the pain overruled the young soul once more. Maurice grabbed onto Alexander for dear life. Hoping his pain would be eased. Alexander was sure that he shouldn’t suffer under this. Not such a young and pure soul. But he was well aware of the fact what this experience will do to Maurice and his future life. As he experienced it once too.
