"Lianna, are you okay?" The boys surround her which make Juneau extremely nervous, making him bark at the two and growl at them, in which they step back from the two.
"Junie... Junie, save me." The girl mumbles, hugging the dog more, "Please stop barking, I love you." Tobias looks at Colton with a pained expression, both of them stand up from the girl, stepping away out into the hallway.
"What happened to her? She used to be so confident and wasn't so... mentally unstable."
"Dude you missed out on a bunch."
"I can see that but back in July-"
"Just, shut up about July, I know you two kissed, I know you hate yourself for it but you know that you just fed into her fantasy of you two getting back together in the future. And you know you refuse to believe me that she still loves you."
"Yeah... but I still love her, Colton, and she doesn't feel the same. That's never going to change. She's made me feel so happy that when we broke up I didn't know what to do with myself, yes I know I lashed out, yes I know I spread those false rumors but she also did some terrible things."
"I know she did those terrible things but she's also learned and has grown from that and I hope you have as well, now I'm going to go try and help her."
"Honestly, I think we should just leave her alone for a bit, leave the food under wraps and keep it warm, lets just go watch a movie or go play VR and talk with Levi and Clemin." Colton nods, a frown glued to his face.
"Okay." The two of them head back downstairs to put her food in the microwave, hoping it'll keep it from going cold as they head to the living room to pick out a movie to watch.
Back within the girl's room it seems that her anxiety attack was finally over and she released her grip on Juneau, petting the top of his head as an extra precaution so she wouldn't spiral down again.
"Thank you Junie, I love you so much and I'm sorry you have to see me like this." The dog just nuzzles the girl's hand as if he's trying to communicate with her that it was okay and that he loves her too. Lianna stands up, looking at the open door and the railing outside that leads to the staircase. She said that she would join them for dinner and it sounded like they were watching a movie by now. The girl still felt bad that she had to let them see her act that way, maybe she'll go apologize. Actually, that's what she's going to do, she's going to go apologize to the boys downstairs and thank them for their slight help.
"Come on Junie, lets go downstairs, I know the boys are down there but you don't have to throw yourself into the situation if you don't want to. But I need to get food" The animal prances over to her, mostly hearing the trigger word "food" which she chuckles at, "oh you silly, silly dog. But stay by my side and don't go into the living room." The girl grips onto her table and tries to stand, after a few unstable attempts she finally allows herself to feel good enough to stand and walk to the doorway, Juneau following behind her slowly.
The two go down the stairs, Lianna gripping onto the handrail with every step she takes descending down. Both Tobias and Colton hear the creaking of the stairs and the jingle of what seems to be a collar but neither seem to pay attention to them as that's what they agreed on.
"C-Colt, where did you put the food?"
"Tobi put it in the microwave, you're welcome to heat it up again."
"Alr-ight, sorry for earlier." Now the two actually look at her and Juneau who hides behind her before Lianna looks down at her precious little one, "go to your food bowl Junie, I'm alright here." The dog obeys and heads away from her, not taking a second look at the boys.
"You don't have to be sorry Lia, I know you haven't been feeling too well in recent years."
"Yeah," she chuckles, gripping her right arm with her left hand, "it hasn't been the best and that's mostly from what people have to deal with and then that gets dumped on me but that was mostly from trauma and past type things I don't really want to get into.
"It's because of him isn't it?" The boy on the right points to the boy on the left with his thumb.
"Yeah it is honestly."
"Understandable, you two went through some pretty rough things when y'all were younger." The girl nods, feeling the need to change the subject but she'll have to face being alone with that boy again so she's up for sticking to it for right now.
"Well, I'm going to go get that food you guys made, thank God you didn't burn down the house or else I would take it from your rent cut." You could hear the slight quiver in her voice, making the two boys frown.
"Alright, still, we're sorry."
"No, no, it's okay it's just, Tobias can I talk to you in the kitchen?" The boy raises an eyebrow before getting off the couch and standing over the girl.
The two of them wander over to the kitchen where the girl tries to get the food from the microwave but since she just had a mental breakdown, she couldn't stand on her toes. Tobias stands on the other side of the island, seeing the girl struggling before finally getting over his own nervousness and coming up behind her, putting his hands around her waist so she can stop shaking and actually stand on her toes with stability.
Once she gets her food and looks that they had gotten some type of fast food that she hadn't had in a long time.
"Thanks for the help."
"You're welcome."
"Hey I- I just want to make this right."
"Make what... right?"
"Our relationship, I know what... Colt said."
"Er- I still don't know what you're talking about."
"Colt told me you still love me, even after all these years."
"Oh..."
"Is it true?" The girl looks back down at her plate of food, her throat slightly closes up as she looks back into his eyes. The boy is still silent, making the girl's throat close up more.
"It is," he takes a deep breath, "it's true."
"Oh?" A little bit of happiness fills the girl's heart knowing this. A smile slaps itself onto the girl's face. The boy returns a smile as he takes a step forward towards her.
The plate knocks into the boy's stomach but he doesn't care as his hands are still on her waist and continues getting closer to her face. Lianna's lidded eyes give Tobias the entire will and need to kiss the woman in front of him, the girl he's been in love with for at least eight years.
The girl looks up at the boy, a smile on her lips as she puts the plate on the counter behind her and grabs his face. Using him for stability, she kisses him, making her dreams somewhat come true again.
"Good lord- get a room you two." The two giggle as they overhear Colt's remarks.
"So?"
"So what?"
"What are we? That was your original question."
"Well, I'd at least like to catch up before anything happens, we did just leave out five years of our lives."
"That's true."
"So how about we talk about it tonight?"
"Are you implying you want to sleep with me and Junie?" The boy laughs, shaking his head.
"No, maybe, not really."
"Alright then, I'll just cuddle my dog instead." The girl takes one of the fries and starts to eat it, finally being genuinely happy for the first time in a while.
