"Yes, Sir. I will be 17 in November. My father has me exercising and practicing daily." I really hoped this explained things. "Correct why I never practiced with the pack."
I settled in once more under the bar as everyone became silent. I noticed this had drawn a huge crowd. Well, in for a penny, in for a pound, I guess. I grabbed the bar and started my lift. It felt good, and I knew it would be a bit of a struggle, but I went through the motions and grunted a bit as I pushed it up from my chest to a full position, then lowered it back down on the wrack.
"If I had not seen that with my own eyes, I would have called someone a liar. I have never heard of a wolf as strong as you being around for well over 400 yrs now." Enforcer, Dylan said.
The crowd that was around me seemed to roar in excitement as they flashed pictures and texted others like madmen. Many were making it a point to come out tonight to see my team in action.
I got up and excused myself to head over to the fighting ring to watch some of the action and see who might be a challenge tonight. The Alpha's son happened to be in the ring showing a new fighter some throws. Before I could even sit down, he called on his wolf and rushed up to me in a burst of speed. "I challenge you to a fight, first out of the ring," He said so all could hear.
"Sorry I have to decline. I just wish to watch a few matches." I said, "Besides, I need a bit of a rest after doing some lifting just a bit ago."
"I am not asking. I am telling you. You will fight me now in the ring. That is a direct order from the Alpha's son. You do know who I am the Alpha's son, correct?" he said as he pulled on his power to try to force me to go to the ring.
"Sorry, I said I am just here to watch for right now. Yes, I know who you are. I also know, as his son, who has not done the trials yet, you are in no position to command me to do anything." I say as I sit.
This must have been the wrong thing to do from all the gasps and whisperings that rushed to my ears. From what I could make out, no one had ever resisted one of his commands before. I thought this strange at first but thinking about it; I had always been able to resist or shrug off anyone who had tried commanding me.
The Alpha's son turned in a fit of rage, almost knocking down a girl in so doing. "Move now!" he yelled at her as he raised his hand to smack her out of the way.
I never even thought about it. Before he could strike her I grabbed his arm and held him up above the ground like a rag doll. "That is uncalled for and very disrespectful to this lady," I said with a snarl in my voice as I glared into his eyes and set him back down on the ground.
"By pack law, you both need to go into the ring and settle this dispute now. If either of you refuses then you will have to face me in or out of the ring," Enforcer Dylan growled out from behind us.
