Well, there, the whole band! And yeah, Izzy is the leader. You'll get to know them all, but you can already tell that she means business. I tried to show the different attitudes through the poses. She is standing straight but relaxed. Eder is... too relaxed, like he doesn't care too much. Haize is at ease, but paying attention respectfully. And Kepa is just there, humble and open-minded. I love Kepa. You'll soon know why.
So... I spent around ten hours on this page, the double it took me to finish a normal page in "Flow". It was... HARD. The poses gave me a lot of work! And I had forgotten how difficult it is to set the style of a comic and how many choices it envolved. With "Flow" I had no expectations, as it was my first comic, but now that I know more, there's deeper levels I have to work on. And, sure, experimenting is cool, but the outcome is unexpected, so I was a bit uneasy throughout the process. So I guess, yeah, beginnings are tough ^^U
Finally, I went for the feeling the cover gives: melancholy, memories, a thing from the past... That's why I used sepia tones, even in the contour lines and the lettering. What do you think? Maybe the atmosphere will change depending on the scene, but I think I like this one. I could have put more work into it but, really, I have no more time >_<
About the T-shirts, I borrowed the logos from world famous band Queen and Zea Mays (https://zea-mays.com/en/), a band that sings in Euskara. I'll be using a lot of band logos in this comic. I want to make it clear thet they all belong to their bands, not me!
And I think that's it. Big hug and thanks for being here!
Haize, Kepa and Izzy want to take their rock band, «Backlash», to the next level. There's just one problem: they need a vocalist. Izzy knows a guy, Eder, a great singer... with even greater an ego.
Will this work, or are things going to get complicated?
What Haize doesn't know is that Eder's arrival will mark the moment in which his life, and himself, will change forever.
A precuel for «Flow» (https://tapas.io/series/Flowcomic).
