Finding all the needed information, The Lady in Red, now referring to herself as The Devil Woman, based on what they found in that book, puts together a package and begins applying for jobs, however when she walks into businesses to apply, she is met with shock and awe, and turned away.

The frustration of trying to live in society, but being rejected based on her appearance begins to set in, but she refuses to let it stop her. She keeps applying and applying, until finally, after nearly 2 months, she is offered a job at a local bar as a waitress, the Owner has been looking for something different, and has no idea what she is, but hopes it will bring people to his bar.

Within the first week of her working there, she is being advertised on the signs, this bar becomes the offical home of The Devil Woman, a local celebrity of San Francisco.
