That Lullaby again. Except this time, no melody:
“Dragon cries.

What Lin didn't know, was that the words had come
out of her own mouth, while she was still asleep. Then she
opened her eyes. A bed. Definitely a bed, with a warm
blanket at that. The bed had an over-cover, giving it a
small ceiling, and side curtains, once down,would make
the double-sized bed, an intimate cave. When she looked
around, the room was brightly lit, and there were two more
people, aside the seven she already knew. A tall,
handsome, forty-something man, with snow-white hair and
raven-black eyes, was leaning on the wall next to the door.
“Are you feeling alright now dear? You gave us quite
the surprise a second ago.”
The gentle, concerned voice, belonged to a fortysomething
woman, with raven black-hair and pearl-white,
warm eyes.
Lin: “Yes, thank you ma'am. May I know what
happened to me? And what is this place?”
Yin: “You came to our home and fainted. Then before
coming to, you fell asleep. You have been coming in and
out of it, for the past few hours. And in case you are
wandering, we are inside a modified cave system, we call
home.”
Lin: “OK. But why is everyone here?”
Yin: “We are curious about you! We know you are born
on Earth, yet there is no record of you anywhere, including
in the “Akasha” database. And we do know every human on this planet.”
Lin: “The blonde over there, said something about
nanites. There's no way I have nanites in me. Where I am
from, nanites are still years away from a working model...
Weird... I can understand you, yet you are speaking in a
foreign tongue. How is that possible?”
Yin: “The blonde one, and the white haired one, are my
sons, and the one next to the door, is my husband Yang.
And sweetie, you have nanites inside you. Our devices, tell
us you are born with them, and when Orion bonded with
you, they were activated, and that's how we can
understand each other. We would know more about your
nanites, once we do more readings. Do you want to?”
Lin: “Um, okay then. As a scientist, I too want to know
more. Am I a prisoner here?
Orion: “NO!” he said, while blushing bright red.
Everyone, except Orion, laughed. When he saw Lin's
smiling face, he too smiled, though faintly.
Yin: “No my dear. You are our guest, for as long as you
want to. Now, you need your strength, so here is a light
snack. And this, is the device for the more accurate
measurements, of your nanites.” as she said that, Yin
placed a tray full of fruits and vegetables, all cut into bitesized
pieces, on Lin's lap, and from her pocket, she pulled
out another device, similar to the one, Attar had used
earlier.
