Friday, September fifth, rolls around pretty fast, Lianna had worked and had visited Julie, Cora, and Charles again, all three had written to her and told her that they all were doing well and Charles was explaining on the second page some more, confidential things regarding the other two girls.
Today was the girl’s day off from work where she usually spent most of her time reviewing notes and writing, basically being stuck in her room all day. Tobias on the other hand was streaming that day, having a charity stream where he and Colton would do a bunch of strange challenges around the house once they got a subgoal or a goal in raising money.
“Colt, don’t pelt me with it.” The boy chuckles, throwing a water balloon at the boy in the backyard. The girl had her window open so she heard the high pitched shrieks of the boy.
“You think they’re okay down there? Well, mentally?”
“Yeah they’re fine.” Marce was going to be leaving today back to New York so she could see her partner Chiro, and to get ready to work at the new hospital she applied at. She puts the last of her things into her suitcase before sitting back on the girl’s beanbag chair in her studio.
“So, you think you’ll be good without me for another few months?”
“At least until winter break when we go up to see Jacky.”
“I thought Jackie was coming down here for winter break.” The psych major stops typing for a minute, opening up her Messages tab and finding Jacky’s number.
Hey J, just wanted to ask if you are coming down for winter break or if Marce and I are going to go up there?
“And sent.” She brings the messages tab to a different monitor and continues back with writing her new book that was in production.
“Well, whatever it is, it isn’t for another few months, but what about now, do you still need me to remind you to take your meds, did you even take them today?”
“I didn’t take them today, sorry.”
“Then you better go take them, I don’t want a repeat of last week.” The girl nods, getting out of her chair and going down the hallway to her room where her medication resides.
Sometimes it feels like the girl is in an endless loop but it’s also not a loop, sure that’s how many hopeless jobs are but Lianna’s cycle is just a rumble of things that could be summed up as “well I don’t know.”
The student returns to her studio, hearing the boys come back into the house and are ready to continue their streams.
“Hey Lia.”
“Hi Tobi.”
“Can I talk to you for a minute? Colt you go on ahead.” The shorter boy nods, going back into his room and talking with his chat.
“What is it that you need?” The drenched boy kisses the girl’s cheek, grinning back at her as he sees that her face burned a bright red. “Why?”
“Because, I just wanted to tell you that I love you and you should come join the stream.”
“I might, but I need to go bid my farewells to Marce.”
“Alright, well once again, I love you and I’ll talk to you in a bit.” Lianna nods, standing on her toes to kiss the boy.
“I love you too.” The two split off, Marce stands out in the hallway snickering at the girl. “I hate you.”
“Love you too, anyways, you ready to not see me for a few months?”
“Yeah, I mean, we’ll still text and stuff.”
“Lia, it’s not like we’re breaking up. You’ll be okay, you have in the past, you will now.” The girl nods, inhaling before exhaling and looking back at the floor.
“Ight, then let’s go, I have to drive you back to the Airport right?”
“Yep, and maybe we can get some donuts before then, or some bubble tea. I know this is gonna make you stressed for a little bit.”
“Yeah, we can go to the local bubble tea shop, I’ll ask the boys if they want any.” Marce grins before moving past her and taking her suitcase down the stairs. The other knocks on Colton’s door, opening it and popping her head in “hey Colt, do you want anything from the bubble tea shop?”
“No thanks, but thanks for the offer.”
“Alright, and hi chat!” She waves as she could see herself in the reflection of the camera, many people saying hi back to the mystery girl while some knew who she was.
“Seems like some of the chat knows you, do you stream at all?”
“I do, it’s mostly bored streams and talking about things while I do freelance work.”
“Oh, neat. Anyways, shoo, I need to focus on building.”
“Alright.” The girl chuckles, closing the door before moving over and knocking on her boyfriend’s door.
“Tobi.” She goes into his room, shutting the door behind her as she looks at the Twitch Chat who went crazy.
“Yeah?” He pauses the game and turns to where the girl is.
“I’m going to drop Marcy off at the airport and get some bubble tea, you want any?”
“I’ll have whatever you get.”
“Alright, it seems that chat is going crazy.” The boy looks back at the computer screen, changing the camera to show that it was just them and not any gameplay.
“They are, a lot of them recognize you.”
“Yeah, they probably are asking why I haven’t streamed in a while but they should’ve seen that I’m in a bit of a mental break.”
“Oh- alright. Anyways, go do your thing, I’ll stay here.”
“Ight, ich liebe dich.” She makes a little heart with her hands before leaving again.
When she gets back downstairs she notices that Marce wasn’t there at all, so by common default, she came down to the thought of her being in the car already, probably spam texting Chiro about how her morning was. The girl alerts Juneau that they’re leaving and for him to come with them, which he does, jumping out of the door when she opens it as he runs to her car that was parked in the driveway.
“Took you long enough, we might not have time for bubble tea now.”
“That’s alright, I can get some when I come back.”
“Okay, well come on, we don’t have all day.” The girl gets the dog into the car, shutting the back seat doors before sliding into the driver’s seat herself.
As they drive to the airport both of them sit in silence, music making barriers again just like it did on Monday.
“You sure you’re going to do okay without me?”
“Of course, I have Tobias to remind me.”
“Just… don’t go overboard with him, don’t get yourself in trouble, and when school comes around on the 14th, don’t do anything stupid.”
“I know, but I’m one of the oldest people in my class, I don’t know how I could do anything more stupid, I am the assistant professor after all.”
“I just don’t want you to forget to take your meds and go to school and have a panic attack.” Lianna chuckles, turning into the airport drop off area.
“That’s not going to happen, plus the music theory rooms are near the psychology rooms so Tobias can come get me.” The girl hums, an uneasy feeling tottering on her shoulders.
“Just, don’t put too much stress onto him, he has things to do as well, and so does Colton.”
“I know, I know, and Juneau’s going to be there so… he should help.”
“Alright… Well, I’ll see you later El.”
“I’ll see you later Mars bar, take care and don’t have anything bad happen to you, text me when you land.”
“Alright, love you.”
“Love you too.” Marce shuts the door before opening the trunk and getting her suitcase, waving to Lianna as she walks into the building. The girl faces the front window again and drives off, turning her music up and going to the local bubble tea shop in town.
