The young mermaid had always been fascinated about the surface, but her father the king had forbade any merfolk from ever going to the surface because of the dangers that lurk there. For the realm above knows of the existence of merfolk and price them highly as trophies, centerpieces and even exotic pets. The king wishes to protect his subject from such enslavement, but his only daughter thought it "unfair" to keep her from the "beauty" of the surface. So despite the warnings and dangers she would sneak to the surface, a cove just off the smooth rocky coast of shiny crystally rocks, there she met a cute little critter called "Harness". She visits him regularly at they're little cove once a week & he tells her about all the wonderful things that exist on the surface. He even brings her gifts such as food, sweet treats and trinkets, she also tends to bring him the same type of gifts.
But are they really friends? Or are they just using each other to get what they want?
Stay tuned for the next panel!
Please let me know what you think, is what's happening really what's going on? Or is something else at play?
PS. If I use something you suspect is really happening I will credit you with inspiration for that piece of the story. :)
