Outside the young maiden's body; turbulent spiritual energy ran out of control. The ground on which she laid trembled from the opposing forces that collided.
[Moaning]
The agony from the nightmare induced sleep was like an affliction that knew no cure.
Flickering candles intensified from the collision of strong spiritual energies.
The roofing shook from the mighty energy that ran amok.
Debris from the roofing littered the dirt ground.
Enslaved by the ghoulish phantoms from her recurring nightmare; the maiden began to convulse.
Her demeanor was akin to excruciating torment.
The tiny pieces of the blue orbs that circled round the golden egg began to thin out in response to the powerful force in the hut.
The woman saw the body of the maiden writhe in pain.
Dalnim, "Mireuk, the enchantment will not hold. We could lose Yuhwa's soul."
Mireuk, "This human is strong willed. I have no other choice but to gain entry to her subconscious. If that fails…."
The man's voice faded as the thought of invading the mind of the young maiden took root.
[Crack]
Dalnim, "Mireuk!"
Alarmed that the golden egg gave a sign that it was about to hatch. The woman screamed for the man to act.
There was hesitancy from the man and in that slight moment when he faltered. There came a burst of bright light which infused the whole hut. Bathing everything in its path with its brilliance.
The young maiden that was shaking violently in a tormented dream became as calm as a millpond.
*****
The dream that was once a nightmare of ghoulish phantoms was replaced by a field of fresh gardens.
The young maiden sat in the field looking at the array of different flowers that grew around her; they smelt fresh and heavenly.
Their scent was like an aphrodisiac to her tortured soul.
She took a deep breath and inhaled the sweet fragrance.
Flowers that healed the pain that she endured.
The maiden wore a faint smile as she gazed into the distance.
Here she could heal and here she finally escaped from her nightmares.
[Cries of a Baby]
One moment it was peaceful and the next there was the sound of a crying child.
The maiden looked around her and saw that there was a baby lying in the field of flowers.
She took to her feet and walked to where a naked baby cried; ten feet from where she once sat.
"Little one, where is your family?"
"Are you alone just like me?"
The bald baby continued to wail on being questioned by the maiden.
"If you don't mind coming with me; I will look after you."
The maiden loosened the fabric that was wrapped around her head and bundled the baby in them.
Swaddled in a worn-out fabric; the maiden held the baby in her arms.
As she did so; the baby that was wailing settled into quietly staring at the person that held it.
"Have you eaten? Is that why you were crying?"
The baby gave a wide eyed stare as though it understood the voice of the maiden.
