Ren looked at the passed out Kai after having checked his pulse and breathing, making sure that he was not in any danger and that she doesn't need to call an ambulance.
Hmm, I guess he's just sleeping.
And just to make sure you're not going to steal any of my stuff or murder me while I'm asleep, photos of you and your fingerprints will be my insurance. Ren thought as she moved nearer to Kai and snapped the pictures. One wrong move and your face will be all over the internet.
Gazing at him, Ren wondered why the lead characters in K-dramas always stared at the one who was sleeping.
If people were being honest, it's just plain creepy. And who looks good and camera-ready while sleeping anyway? Ren shrugged her shoulders when her eyes fell back on Kai.
He surprisingly doesn't look that bad while asleep, Ren caught herself thinking and shakes her head.
Great, this must be from all the K-dramas I've been watching. I better go to bed.
Kai woke up the next morning to the smell of coffee and toasted bread. They were placed on the table next to the couch he was lying on.
What happened? Where am I? Kai wondered as he sat up, feeling his body aching all over.
I should get back. They're probably worried. Kai thought of Lowell, his manager and the rest of his group anxiously waiting for him to come back to the house where they have been holed up for about a week now since arriving in the city.
I should have asked someone to drive me around, especially when in an unfamiliar place, but no, I just had to be the adventurer I think I am.. or pretend to be. Almost getting myself killed and passing out on a stranger's couch from disorientation and exhaustion last night is not something the crew would be happy about.
Still, even with all that happened, Kai was grateful. Having been discovered at a young age and joining a top agency helped him to be where he is today- part of the most famous k-pop group in the world and worth millions of dollars. He still can't believe it sometimes. But the number of people, especially bodyguards and handlers that surround him all the time brings him back to his new reality.
Although, being the leader of the group and the main songwriter, he had more freedom than the younger boys and was allowed to explore the new city they were in alone.
Good thing all these walks on my own actually help me write new songs for the group. Or else I'll be stuck in the big mansion like the rest. Granted, their new 'home' had a forest for a backyard, but if I was stuck there, not being out and about in the city by myself, I wouldn't have met.. Ren.
