Janette turned over in her sleep and felt something nice, cool, soft, and yet firm. She cuddled up to it and moaned out in happiness. That was until her memories came back. Her eyes snapped open and saw a handsome, tousled haired, and smirking Alastor with his half lidded eyes looking lovingly down on his Doe.
“How’d you sleep, My Doe~?”
She blushed heavily from all of her embarrassing actions and what she did on general. She hid her head in his chest and muttered something that he couldn't catch.
“What was that?” He asked with a curious tilt of his head as he pet her hair gently.
She looked up at him with her big blue doe eyes while the blush was still visible. "We….did it…. And without protection…."
His expression shifted as he also came to the realization. “So we did…” He got lost in thought about the next steps for what could happen.
"If… I end up… pregnant. How're we going to explain this to the others?" Janette mumbled.
“... It will be fine. The others were likely expecting this. If it’s your family you're worried about, I’d be happy to marry you to fix the problem..” ‘Marry…’ That was a whole other rabbit hole he would hop down later.
Janette was quiet for what seemed like an hour. But it was only a minute. "I was thinking… do you believe in reincarnation?"
“I do. I’ve seen it time and again. There have been many more spirits in this house other than the twenty… they’ve all been reborn. A second chance to go to Heaven or Hell.” Alastor replied.
".... I was thinking… that if I do get pregnant… I want…. One of the younger spirits… to be my child or children. What do you think…?"
“I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I adore those children. If they reincarnated as one of ours… that would be one of the best gifts you could give me!” He beamed in absolute happiness.
Janette shared his enthusiasm and joy she hugged him tightly. "I was thinking of Lial, Atticus, Selene, and…Anna as options."
“Shall we speak to them about it..? And what about Benjamin and Sarah?” Alastor had a feeling he already knew the answer to Ben.
She chuckled. "Those two are already taken. Their future parents just need a push. Especially the dad."
“Both of them, hm? I suppose Sarah did have a moment with Ms. Juniper..”
"Juniper wanted me to give those army dog tag necklaces to them. For Sarah it was WARRIOR and for Ben SOLDIER BOY. She might act tough and be a little rough around the edges, but she has a heart of gold. And you know… if she were a demon… she wouldn't be a lion." Alastor raised a curious brow at this.
"A lion? Why would that be?" He questioned.
She smiled. "Because she's tough, full of courage, and will kick anyone's ass if they hurt the people she loves…. I think that she would be a mantecore."
“Hm… she is quite fearsome as far as I’ve seen thus far.” He agreed with a thoughtful hum.
"... You know, both she and Theressa have it BAD for those two. I can just tell. Their aura's glow when they're near them. Sarah and Ben, they'll definitely be the "grouchy couple's" kids for certain." Janette giggled at her comment.
“I wonder about Angeldust and Theressa.. Hm. Neither have really connected with a spirit yet.” Alastor hummed. “Perhaps they won’t have children that were reincarnated?”
"Hmmm, maybe. Or maybe a passing spirit or two will help? Or stick around? You never know." Janette inquired.
Alastor gave his ever impossible smile. “Just maybe.. So, are you up for setting those four on a date?”
Janette's confidence grew into a devious smirk. "Just watch. I have tricks up my sleeves~" she giggled evilly.
Alastor kissed his “evil” soulmate. “I’ll bet you do, My Doe~. Shall I make breakfast this morning?”
"Yes… mainly because I can't move much… for an asexual you sure know how to operate." She blushed.
He blinked in shock and blushed himself. “I-I’m so sorry, my dear. I did not intend to be so rough-” She cut him off.
"It's not your fault… I kinda encouraged you to do that… and I kinda liked it." She avoided eye contact.
“Oh~?” He lifted her chin. “Did you now~? Perhaps we should do it again soon then~?”
Janette's face turned fifty shades of red and quietly nodded.
He chuckled fondly, kissed her, and got ready for the day. “Still, I do apologize, does breakfast in bed sound good to make up for it?”
She smiled shyly. "If it won't get in the way of things?"
“It should not.” Now Alastor was grinning evilly. “This shall prove quite entertaining!”
Janette gave him a teasing look. "What're you planning?"
“Nothing yet, but when I do it will be fun~” He replied.
She blushed harder and rolled her eyes. "Dear God. What am I going to do with you? Are you planning to tell the others what happened at the table or later to see if I'm…expecting….? Which reminds me. If it wouldn't be too much, can you somehow get a pregnancy test or two?" Janette's voice raised and lowered an octave in embarrassment and nervousness.
“I won’t tell yet, that is an "us" thing. And I can get you a pregnancy test or two.” Alastor knotted his bowtie.
As Alastor kissed Janette on the cheek and nipped her shoulder, he left the room to start breakfast. 'Pancakes sounds fitting right?' He thought to himself. As he walked to the kitchen he magically got the ingredients and equipment needed, Charlie walked in with a yawn and a chipper smile.
“Hello Alastor, How was your night?”
“It was quite the night.” Alastor replied simply as he poured the correct amount of water in with the correct amount of mix and started, well, mixing.
“Okay then?” Charlie asked, slightly confused by his answer.
“How was your night, my dear?” Alastor diverted the attention away from himself.
“Oh! It was fine. Angel snores a lot though..”
Alastor laughed. As they chatted away, Angeldust sat at the table while his eyes were glued to the screen. Apparently texting Theressa with a fanged smile. Until he heard a small unfamiliar voice behind him.
"What's that?" The voice sounded like a…child?
“Uh. A phone. Who are you?” Angel turned to the kid while Alastor peeked over and shrugged. Wandering spirits weren’t uncommon, after all.
The small curly blonde haired girl looked up at him with innocent blue eyes.
"Michelle… Waker". She grabbed both sides of her white and red ruffled dress and swayed it back and forth timidly but with a small smile. She looked to be about the age of nine or ten. "Who're you? Are you Spiderman?"
Angeldust nearly laughed at that. ‘That was adorable.’ “You can call me Angeldust, and I guess I am a spider that’s a man, so sure. Spiderman. Why not?”
She grinned wide. "I like spiders! My siblings say I'm weird about that but I don't care. I can just pick one up and chase them with it~." She giggled mischievously.
“Atta girl, that’s exactly how you take care of bullies, ey? Sibling or not.” Angel found himself enjoying Michelle’s company. Alastor took notice, looking forward to telling Janette later.
"Do you have any siblings? If you do, how many?" She said as she gestured to sitting on his lap.
“Huh? Oh, go ahead, I don’t mind.” He replied to the silent question first. “I’ve got a brother and a twin sister.”
She struggled a little bit climbing up his lap till he chuckled and picked her up and set her down. She beamed with a smile. "I have…" she counted on her fingers. "Twelve other siblings! I'm the youngest!" She said with pride.
“T-twelve?! That’s a lotta siblings, little lady.” Angel didn’t think he could handle that many kids. ‘How’d her parents do it… well, she’s young and dead, they probably couldn’t.’
"A lot of people keep saying that. When I asked momma about it, she said that to tell them that we're Catholic." She simply stated.
‘Aaaaand it suddenly makes sense.’ Angel thought.
Angel was confused though. She looked healthy and strong for someone that was dead. How'd she die and why is she here?
“Heya, kiddo? Um, if it doesn’t bother you any, how did you die..?”
She frowned slightly and tried to reach behind the center of her back. She patted a certain area. Angel looked at where she gestured. There in the middle of her back was a huge bullet hole that pierced her dress.
"Mean men came into our church and hurt me and my family and friends. The popo called them… terrier-ists?" She explained to the best of her abilities.
“Terrorists, huh? Well. If you want, I can keep ya from any more mean men?” Angel couldn’t believe he was offering to watch this kid, but he felt connected to her… somehow.
She beamed up at him. "Can my siblings come too?!" She begged with puppy eyes.
‘Oh shit.’ He looked at a very amused Alastor. “Uh… can ya ask Janette or somethin’?”
“I will, after breakfast. What about you, dear Michelle, hungry? I’m making pancakes.” Alastor offered.
She smiled widely. "Yes please!!! Can I also have extras for my siblings?"
Alastor chuckled. “Naturally, my dear, we can’t have them miss out, can we?” As Alastor finished the sentence, a new voice entered the conversation.
“PAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNNCCCCCCAAAAAAAKKKKKKEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!” Ben came running in with a tired, and grumpy, Husk behind him. “Alastor makes the BESTEST!”
“It’s "best" kid..” Husk corrected, rubbing sleep from his eyes.
Alastor looked at him amused at seeing the "parents' first child" syndrome. Ben then noticed Michelle and ran up to her, eager to know the young stranger. But Michelle buried her face in Angel's fluff, trying to hide.
“Heya Michelle, it’s ok. It’s just Ben. Ben’s harmless.” Angel soothed. ‘I think.’
She peeked one of her eyes out of the fluff and looked at an excited boy almost her age.
"...."
“HI! I’m Benjamin Winthrow!” He greeted, holding a hand out.
She hesitantly waved cutely but shyly. "Michelle Waker…" she timidly said.
He beamed. “Wow what a pretty name!”
She blushed and quickly hid her face back in Angel's fluff. Angel soothed her by petting her blonde curly hair while snickering. Alastor and Husk laughed at an confused Ben.
“Did… did I do something wrong?” Ben asked. Most people didn’t hide from him… except for Atticus, but that was Atticus.
“Not at all. She’s just a bit shy is all.” Alastor replied as he started plating pancakes for the children.
Speaking of Atticus though, the 12 year old poked in at the yell of pancakes. No matter how shy he was, he couldn’t resist the call of pancakes. Atticus was a thin and pale young boy with toffee colored hair, deep green eyes, and casual 1950 style clothing. “Pan…cakes..?”
“You are just in time, my boy, pop a squat and have some!”
He shyly sat down at the end of the table and waited patiently for his share to be passed to him. And after a few more minutes the rest of the group gathered at the table eating pancakes, except for Michelle who looked fixed on the pancake in front of her.
“Something wrong?” Angel asked while Alastor plated Janette and himself.
"... The way I eat is more based on my powers… trying to focus…" she then held up her hand in front of her. And then slowly but surely she was somehow making the pancakes disintegrate and the particles being transferred to her hand as her body glowed for a few seconds. It was like something from The Mummy in all honesty. Afterwards she let out a small burp and a smaller "excuse me". The table was silent for a few tense seconds.
“THAT WAS SO COOL! HOW’D YOU DO THAT!?” Ben gasped, making Atticus flinch.
“Lower your voice, Ben.” Husk sighed. “It’s too early for this hocus pocus crap..”
“That was pretty, uh…” Well, Ben had it right. “It was cool. Have you always been able to do that, little lady?” Angel asked.
She blushed and twiddled her fingers. "Well… not at first. But big brother Anthony said that I'm a little different and somehow managed to gain abilities to eat energy from either offerings or other people. Other ghosts call me a parasite. But big brother Anthony beats them up when they call me that. He just says that I'm special." She gently kicked her feet from Angel's lap.
He tensed for a moment. “You’re not a parasite Michelle, your big brother is right. You are a perfect and special little girl.” Angel found himself hugging the child.
She sniffled but wiped her tears while she cuddled him. Charlie and Vaggie were astonished at how such a small little girl could have powers that strong and was upset that she would have to endure such insults even in the afterlife.
Angel held her close. “Hey Al where is Jane- Alastor?” The Radio Demon was gone.
Alastor was heading back down to Janette’s room with a silver platter with an assortment of chopped fruits, syrup, orange juice, and the pancakes on it. He gave a small knock to announce his arrival. “I have news~”
He opened the door with his magic and closed it with his foot. Janette was still naked and snuggled in the blankets. "What's going on? You look chipper and I don't think that's from last night~" She quipped.
“Angeldust has laid claim to quite the powerful little girl, that’s what! She’s cute as a button too! Her name is Michelle Waker and she has twelve other siblings. Benjamin seems to enjoy her as well.” Alastor chirped, placing the platter on her lap. He took his plate and drink, sipping the freshly squeezed orange juice.
She had a pleasantly surprised face. "So Angel has the potential of having a horde of a clan in his DNA. And Ben has a potential crush. Good to know~. Where are the other siblings?" She asked curiously.
“Angel wanted to ask if they could come here?”
