Chen's POV

The woman beneath me was certainly lovely, though she didn’t look like in her golden years yet. However, her wrinkles were noticeable enough to reveal her age, and obviously, she was a lot older than me.

Despite the obvious signs of aging, her figure remained the same as probably decades ago. Her youthful beauty and her body proved to have enough strength to handle my strong thrusts into her wet pussy which continued to be accompanied by her loud moans.

While her fingernails pressed against my back, raking my skin, she continued to push herself into my hard manhood like a child playing in a seesaw.

“Chen, go deeper. More.”

When I drove my hard object faster, her screaming became louder until we both climaxed. The woman traced her long nail-polished fingernails across my flesh from the tip of my spine to my buttocks, touching my nude body with her tongue.

Once it was finished, it didn’t take long for me to step back after my release and stood to get my cigarette and light it before staring down the vacant streets.

After releasing a cloud of smoke in front of the window, I looked down and saw nothing but dark emptiness. It was then I realized that it was already very late in the evening.

“Er, Chen.”

She leaned against the headboard and puffed the smoke from her cigarette.

While her body was encased in a crumpled white sheet, she combed her curly hair, which was still tangled up.

“I have been thinking about how we’ve been getting along.”

“What do you mean by that?” I asked with a cold baritone.

“What if we take this seriously? You know what I’m saying—”

“Hold your horses, old woman.”

“Did you just say, old woman?”

“Yes, because you are already old, Louisa,” I answered nonchalantly despite knowing that those words have hurt her feelings.

I headed outside the bedroom to the kitchen and grabbed a bottle of beer. After drinking, I lowered the bottle and saw Louisa standing a few meters away from me. She was still wrapped in the blanket.

“Why can’t it be the two of us? You know, we’re perfect. We have been perfect.”

“That’s what you thought.”

“But, Chen.” She extended her hand to reach me.

Before she could grab my hand, I turned back and slightly pushed her hand away from me. With my eyes widening in anger and the rising heat inside my body, I failed to hold myself together and suddenly raised my voice in response.

“Both of us agreed not to start a romance and to know our boundaries.” I walked a few more steps and approached the woman. “I thought it was clear for both of us that our relationship will be plain sexual. There’s nothing else to expect other than that.”

My frank remark seemed excessive. As her eyes got swollen and teary, Louisa squeezed her lips together before puffing another cigarette and avoiding my gaze. She took a step back towards the bed.

“I know, I know. We both agreed not to fall in love. But, you know, I’m afraid I can’t—”

“You can’t help but fall in love with a young and fresh meat like me,” I sarcastically concluded her assertion while cocking my head upwards. “Well, it is not my problem, Louisa. Why don’t you tell your husband about how faithful you are?”

“But, I love you, Chen.”

“Love?” I drew myself nearer to her. “You don’t love me nor your husband. The fact is, you don’t know what love is nor how it feels, Louisa.”

“How could you say so?”

“Look. If you did love me, what difference does it make if you cheat on your husband when we’re together?” I turned toward her direction with my hands on my waist.

“Please tell me, Chen. You can’t leave me like this. You can’t,” she continued murmuring until her voice raised, slowly becoming more hysterical.

She dashed over to me and gave me a hard hug before pulling her away from me while she cried.

“Louisa, stop,” I sputtered after pushing and pulling myself away from her, I unintentionally pushed her more until she fell to the floor as a result of the force. “Didn’t I already tell you that I’m getting bored with this drama?”

While wiping her tears around her eyes and face, smearing her mascara, Louisa continued mumbling words.

“However, I don’t want to let you go. I know that I cheated on my hubby and I’m conscious enough to say that I’ve made a grave error behind his back. With you, I will rather quit my mundane life as a housewife and move in.”

“Just stop, Louisa. This isn’t funny anymore.”

This time, she was honestly getting on my nerves which made me feel a bit disgusted. She sounded far too hopeful to be a figment of her imagination. That irritated me.

The more I listened to Louisa’s nonsense, the more I became disinterested in her.

“Foolish.” I turned to the window and raised my head to watch the stars.

“When it comes to love, even the smartest woman may be dumb.”

“That’s all there is to it. We’re done. Leave,” I responded in a frigid tone that came across as more of a command.

Louisa sobbed silently as she bent down to pick up her garments, which were strewn across the floor. Then she hurriedly put them back on, piece by piece.

After she mended herself, she stood in front of me with smudged mascara and red lipstick, slapped my face, and snarled.

“You’re a jerk.”

Taking advantage of that opportunity to say something, I drew myself closer to her and leaned my torso forward so my face would almost touch hers.

“I am nothing but a monster.” I pulled up to reveal my grin.

With a loud slam ringing in the room, she grumbled and grabbed her things as she exited the room in a snap.

After she left, the silence took over the whole space. I looked up and released an exasperated sigh while sitting at the side of the bed alone, and let out an angry groan. I slouched and placed my elbows on my lap.

What causes a person’s heart to flutter?

What the hell was I thinking?

Confused, I stood up and pressed the cigarette into the ashtray with a shake of my head before turning to gather up the clothes that were strewn on the floor, and exiting the room.

When I was walking to the bus stop, I came to a halt as soon as I noticed someone who drew my attention. “Alex,” I whispered as I came towards him while standing a few people away from him, along with others waiting for the next bus.

The bus pulled up in front of us. He entered with his earbuds on, looked up, and sat in the rightmost seat, which was the closest to the window, while I was at the rear, with a nice view of him until it came to a complete halt.

Alex took a step forward to approach the door, while I stood and headed towards the exit after a few individuals formed a line behind him.

While I was following his trail, I peered around my familiar surroundings, walking a meter away from him.

This is my residence.

To my surprise, he also turned right at the end of the block and passed through the ajar gate.

Wait a minute, this is headed straight at my apartment. No way.

Amidst the confusion, I gathered my balls to continue following in his footsteps until he arrived at the building. When he came to a halt in the first room, which was the last room on the second floor, I almost sneaked a glimpse at his route.

Who would have thought that Alex has been living beneath me all this time?

As funny as our situations were, I grinned in front of his door when I approached his room before heading upstairs to relax and stroll to the third-floor dead-end.

When I reached there, I opened the door to my room, Room 301, but my mind couldn’t believe what was going on.

Chen and Alex have despised and blamed each other for their violent rivalry over musical and personality differences, as they unknowingly shared similar problems outside of music – Sam, the woman they both love.

While her death unknowingly caused misery for both of them, Chen and Alex unexpectedly have become fond of each other, and it didn't take long before things got steamy and passionate between the two after they were compelled to collaborate for the university's charity event.

Could Chen forgive Alex, who had such a tumultuous past? Could Alex be willing to let go of his shame and accept Chen's unforgettably beautiful love? What will become of our two main characters? Will they be able to have a "normal" love life, or will their trust difficulties take over?
