- Eros -
I went down my flight of stairs to the main entrance. My whole house was designed according to my old temple in the Heavens, right above Greece.
Greek styled columns, intricate designs, high ceilings and everything was white.
I had to add in some modern furniture too of course. I didn't want to be outdated.
The exterior of my house was mostly inspired by my origins, but the interior was as modern as it can get. Leather furniture sets, marble countertops, metal and glass framing everything else.
Even my whole range of lambos were white.
Payne was waiting for me outside, leaning on his black sporty Ferrari, "Took you some time to get out here. How long did you sleep?"
I groaned, "Till you called me."
"Man, you need to eat something. It's not healthy you know, skipping meals. In fact I heard that eating five small meals a day is supposed to be ideal. As compared to eating three big ones."
I entered his car and his nagging got shut out for a short moment until he took his place in the driver's seat.
"What are you up for?" Payne started up his engine before driving off and I shrugged.
I honestly didn't have much of an appetite. What with Destiny and Dylan's pairing stressing me out and the stupid articles.
Why was being human so difficult? Why was being me so difficult?
"I'll pick then, there's this new salad bar near the club. I heard they've got some really good breasts there," he blabbered excitedly.
I raised an eyebrow, "Breasts?"
He looked at me, confusion crossing his features, then he laughed, "Oh my God I meant chicken breasts! You should see the look on your face!"
I glared at him and he drove down to the salad place.
Payne ordered while I sat at the table staring at all the girls preparing and serving the food. He was right, they had really good breasts inside. And I don't mean the chicken ones.
They were eyeing and watching Payne and me like we were animals in the zoo. This one girl was leaning over the counter, her boobs were huge. I winked at her and she blushed bright red.
Ah humans.
Payne sat back down with me and I looked at him, "Why didn't you introduce this place to me earlier?"
"Like what you see? Even the mighty Eros can't handle temptations huh?"
I rolled my eyes and saw a familiar face enter the shop.
Dylan Rogue?
Anyone could recognise him even with those dumb sunglasses on. Who the fuck wears them at night?
Payne cocked his head and I nodded. He had his arm around a female and I recognised her from the article I read earlier.
We need to break them up.
Goodness I'm Eros and I'm breaking people up, what's going on?
I recalled back to the scan I did on the girl, is there something I could use to my advantage?
I forked a bunch of veggies and meat into my mouth and chewed.
Nuts and chicken.
She was a strict vegetarian and was allergic to nuts.
Perfect.
I got up from my seat and Payne shot a what-the-fuck look at me. I patted his shoulder and strode over to the counter, trying to strike a conversation with Miss Big Boobs.
"Hi, I'm Chad." Girls like it when you're straight to the point, and when you introduce yourself first.
She grinned widely but tried to contain herself, she'll do anything I ask. Good.
"I'm Rebecca. Enjoying your food?" She batted her crazy long lashes at me and I nodded.
"It's great. In fact, I want to learn."
"I'm sorry?"
"Will you teach me how you make the salad?" So stupid, I know. You just need to dump a load of greens in and slather some sauce on top.
But I need to make their food.
"Sure! I'll get you some gloves and I can teach you how we get down on it," she winked at me and I shivered.
Okay, she has nice boobs. But she didn't exactly have the looks department. I wonder who she will be paired with.
After she handed the gloves to me and taught me what goes in this stuff, I saw Dylan finally walk up to the cashier to order their food.
Payne was watching with an amused expression on his face.
"Can I make that order?" I asked big boobs and she shook her head.
"Oh no no only the staff can handle the customer's food," she quickly snatched up the order chit.
I stood right next to her, "Come on, there's two orders, you and I will do one each. It will be nice to have you lead me."
I held her chin and my other hand ran down the small of her back. I pulled her closer to me even with her colleagues and Payne staring. She blinked up at me crazily and nodded.
Everything about me was to attract humans.
I took the slip of paper from her and read it quickly. Dylan obviously opted for the nut and meat-free option for his date.
I smiled charmingly at big boobs and we churned out their orders quickly. I made the date's order and added a whole lot of nuts and meat.
I won't let her eat it, but it'll be enough to spark a huge brawl.
I leaned towards big boobs, "I'll serve it. If I do well I may even consider buying this whole establishment."
I swear I saw her knees go weak.
I took both bowls and went over to Dylan's table. Payne already had his phone out, ready to record the whole thing go down on camera.
"Seafood salad for the Sir, and the protein salad with extra nuts and meat for the lady," I served their bowl of veggies and the lady's face changed.
"I'm sorry, I think you've got the order wrong. It should be the tofu salad but without nuts or meat," she spoke up and I smiled at her.
"I apologise but I don't think that was what your boyfriend ordered for you. He specifically asked for more of both."
"What?! No way! I would never! I know you don't eat-" I moved back slightly when I saw her face flare red.
She slapped Dylan so hard I felt bad for him.
"You are horrible! Is this how treat all your ladies after fucking them?! You give me food I'm allergic to?! I could've died!" She snapped and stomped out of the place.
"Amy! Come on! I probably ordered wrongly! I'm sorry!" He yelled and slumped in the seat.
Okay guys, no matter how pissed your girl is or how much they say they won't want to see you ever again, go after them.
Sitting there like a dejected idiot won't help the situation.
Of course I won't bother helping him now though. I need him back with Destiny.
"You still want that salad?" I pointed to his date's food and he groaned.
"I'm not hungry, you can clear both of it."
I took it back to the counter and Miss Big Boobs was staring at me.
I shrugged, "Celebrities am I right?"
She grinned widely at me and I quickly grabbed my bowl of salad and Payne with me to the car.
He was laughing the whole way and beat almost every single red light to the club.
"That was awesome man! I'm selling this to the paparazzi. I'll be rich!" He parked at his lot at the club and I shook my head, eating the last of my greens.
"You're rich enough Payne, what more do you need?"
"I know right? Just makes it even more fun!"
His crazy mood was getting to me and I couldn't help laughing too. We entered the club and it was still rather quiet. There was a crowd though, and my staff were doing their job.
Bartenders making drinks, dancers on stage, bouncers being big blocks of wood and security at the same time. Cleaners on stand-by, ready for the aftermath that was about to come. DJs spinning out tunes and waitresses striding around in heels in the VIP section.
Everything was in its place and running smoothly.
I talked to the manager and he updated me on whatever that needed my attention.
Once I was done, I tapped Payne on his shoulder and signalled that we should leave.
We drove down to my biggest and main club, Club Hero.
Payne thought it was a good idea to have my name in the club and it worked out.
I sat in the VIP booth and slowly drank down my tray of shots. I wanted to lose myself tonight.
I glanced down to the dance floor, guys grinding up against girls. Most of them making out.
Moments of pleasure are all I can have. Like these people here.
Soon though, like the ones I've paired before, all these people here will find their other half.
They will get married, have kids, grow old together and eventually die.
I don't have that privilege. I'll never grow old, I will never have kids, I will never die.
I will never find my other half.
I gulped down another shot and saw a familiar beauty enter my club.
Destiny Paige.
My eyes scanned her whole being, her silky ruby hair flowing, her tight little red dress, her high heels and gorgeous lips.
If I found her beautiful, any other guy will.
"Dylan that lucky bastard," I mumbled and downed another drink.
Payne was laughing his head off, with his arm around a girl. He pulled her into my booth and started a heavy make-out session.
"Payne, fuck off please," I gulped a shot down and looked around for Destiny.
She was dancing, so elegantly and dangerously. All eyes were on her, she knew it. Then she glanced up and looked right at me.
I couldn't breathe.
She did a crazy body wave against the man in front of her, her eyes never leaving mine. Oh God.
Just before the guy could even lay a hand on her, she disappeared into the crowd. I caught glimpses of her wafting through the sea of people, but couldn't exactly focus.
The alcohol was already doing its work.
I swallowed the lump in my throat, feeling the hardening in my pants.
Eros forget her. You can't feel anything towards a human.
"Payne, get me another tray of shots," I mumbled and rested my head back against the cushioned seat.
He already took off most of the girl's clothes and was ready to fuck her right there.
"Fucking moron," I glared at him and made my way to the VIP bar.
I slumped on the counter top and the bartender quickly came over, "Need something Sir?"
I nodded groggily, "Get me another tray and give Payne a room. Fucking please I'm going to vomit watching him do that."
He chuckled and left to do as I asked.
I heard Payne and the girl being hauled off to one of the private rooms at the back of the club and I not-so-happily drank my alcohol.
It tasted bitter and disgusting after a while and I dragged myself to the dance floor. I needed the music to knock me out.
Bodies were everywhere. They were pressed up around me everywhere as people ground against one another.
The music helped, it helped to worsen the horrible migraine in my brain. Exactly what I needed.
I felt a pair of really soft hands squeeze my shoulders and I sighed, feeling the tension ease off.
"Something wrong sweetie?" I heard a whisper next to my ear and I took a whiff of her perfume.
It was Destiny.
Strawberries with a hint of alcohol, she smelt exactly like I thought she would.
I felt so satisfied at the moment I didn't even want anything else. The booze was crawling through my veins and I was losing every bit of sanity.
"Long day?" I felt her hands slide down my biceps and slowly wrap around my torso.
I've never felt complete. Not until now.
Her hug made all my empty pieces settle down. Her warm breath made me feel at home. Her heat against my back made me feel alive.
"Destiny," I mumbled softly and she pressed her lips to the side of my face.
"I'm here darling," she pulled away and I held on to her hand, afraid that she will vanish like she did earlier.
I turned round to finally look at her in all her full glory. She was fucking beautiful.
She reached out and held my face in her delicate hands, "You look like shit."
I couldn't help laughing, "I, Chad Eros, looks like shit?"
No one in hell or on Earth has said that about me like that.
She smiled widely, her red hair draping over her shoulders, "Ah, Eros. What a handsome name. Doesn't match you though."
Was she serious? I knew how good I looked.
"And you presume that you're the fairest of them all?" I'm surprised I didn't stumble over my words in my stupor.
"I don't presume," she leaned in towards me, her fucking sweet breath tickling my face, "I know."
Her lips were inviting me, her whole being was inviting me.
I held the small of her back and pulled her towards me, a gasp escaped her lips as she gazed intensely into my eyes, "What do you want Eros?"
I nearly growled, I want you.
