After he had fallen asleep, Ashton had a dream that was more of a memory from his childhood. He could see a younger version of his mom walking on a familiar sidewalk, Ashton knew that he wasn't much older than 5 years old in this memory. "Alright sweetheart, mommy is going to be in that grocery store just over there, if you need me, come find me but for now play in this park, okay?" his mom had explained gently, he wished she would still talk to him like that, but she's usually nagging him to do chores these days. "Okie dokie mommy!" a clearly young and cheerful voice chirped, his mother walked across the street while he headed into the park, skipping to his favorite thing to do, play in the sandbox. But since he didn't know he would be going to the park today, he didn't bring his old worn down plastic bucket and shovel. 'Oh well!' the little Ashton thought as he jumped into the sandbox, "Ew! You got sand on my pretty princess dress!" said a little girl who was drawing hearts with a stick in the sand. Ashton knew that he had to be nice even though that was bound to happen because its sand, "I'm sorry miss! I just wanted to have fun.." he apologized as he went up to her and dusted the sand off her dress for her. The young girl's eyes glittered as she pictured Ashton with a crown on his head, "Your a royal prince doing a good deed for his princess!" she said as she tried to kiss him, Ashton was running away, being chased by the little girl. "NOOO! I DON'T WANT A KISS FROM YOU! I'M NOT YOUR PRINCE!" he yelled. The girl pouted at that statement, "Well if you're not a prince you're the commoner who has to do what I say!" said the so-called princess. Ashton thought 'Well it's better than her prince..', "Ok...well miss princess, what's your name? I'm Ashton Huchson!" he shouted proudly. "Nice name! I'm Clara Williams! Can I call you Ash for short? Ima call you Ash, it sound better!" Clara squealed. Ashton was happy that he just made a friend, "Now, Ash you must make this queen a beautiful royal palace!" Clara demanded, to which Ashton replied with "I thought you were a princess, not a queen..and I also don't have my plastic bucket and shovel, so I can't!" Clara wasn't happy at this statement, she walked calmly over to her mom, who was sitting on a bench cradling a baby, "Mommy, I need my bucket and shovel! Ash is going to build me a beautiful royal palace and I need it NOW!" she hollered. Her mom sighed and gave her daughter what she wanted, "Well tell this friend of yours thank you, you have to be nice to other kids and don't go begging them to do things they don't want to do, understood Clara?" Clara rolled her eyes and grabbed the bucket and shovel, "Yeah yeah I got it!" she scoffed. Her mom was used to that and knew things would only get more heated if she said anything back so she stayed silent, "Ash! Here use mine and you can keep it too!" Clara chirped excitedly. Ashton was practically glowing as bright as the sun at this point, his parent's haven't bought him a new bucket and shovel because they don't have extra money for it, but now he has one from his new friend! "Clara, you're my bestfriend, never leave me! Ok!?" he yelled while filling the bucket with sand to make a sand castle. "Alrighty!" she answered truthfully. After afew minutes the castle was complete and Ashton's mom was calling for him at the gate of the park, "Ashton! Sweetheart lets go home! You father is probably waiting for dinner." she called out. "Oh! Sorry Clara my mommy is calling me I have to go home.." Ashton explained sadly, "Aweeee ok...WAIT!" Clara screamed basically while running to her mom and coming back with a small paper. "Here's my mommy's phone number and our address so we can have play dates sometime!" she said cheerfully. Ashton nodded and ran to his mom, he handed her the paper and asked who it was from and when he pointed to Clara and her mom, his mom only smiled, happy that her son had finally made a friend.
This episode is more focused on Ashton's past. (As I have absolutely no idea whay to write about like whether he starts school immediately or it's still a bit before school starts up.)
Ah, isn't it just wonderful to wake up to the annoying sound of noisy people honking the horns of their vehicles at one another? Yeah I didn't think so, because although most people in the city are used to it and don't take it to heart, Ashton, who has only moved into the city recently to stay with his aunt and uncle in their luxurious apartment, absolutely can't stand the sound. Atleast he doesn't need to rely on his phone for alarms! But what could go wrong? Lots, lots WILL go wrong! But what if moving into the city and starting at a new school wasn't so bad after meeting a certain someone in the hidden game room in East Bay Academy?
