Gwang Seong’s POV
I am seated in my office with my back to the entrance.
I am looking out the large window that is typically located behind me.
I placed my office on the top level of my building not because of the breathtaking view. It was an added benefit. My key intention was to remind myself and others of the time and work I have invested in creating this company.
I began from the bottom and am now seated at the top. Only a few can achieve this.
I heard someone knock three times.
"Sir, I am here to deliver the daily report on Azure Corp's Late Notice's recent world tour." I heard my executive assistant say. I didn't bother to face him and simply gestured with my hands for him to continue.
"Uhmm, ahem." He delayed for some time to prepare.
"All of their booked stadium arenas were sold out. The gross sale is estimated to be $20,000,000 with only 43 performances. This sum is anticipated to double as they have 38 further performances to do. " He paused.
"Is that it?" I inquire.
"Hold on, sir. Ahh, here." I could hear him shuffling papers he must have been carrying.
"Meet The Boys: World Tour is on course to become the highest-grossing tour in the history of South Korea, as reported by the majority of major news broadcast stations. Azure Corp announced-"
"Enough." I cut him off abruptly.
"Yes, sir. Would you want me to get you some coffee or honey tea or…" He trailed off.
“Me?” I could hardly hear what he was whispering.
I didn’t mind it.
"No, just finish disposing of Gekko like the other groups. Ensure it does not negatively affect our public image." I instructed.
"Already in progress, sir. I’ve already taken the necessary precautions to make sure the members of Gekko wouldn't speak. I'm simply waiting for the public relations team to provide me with a draft of the soon-to-be-released statements." He gave me assurance.
"How about Nth Degree? Are they doing well?" I asked.
"Yes, sir. I am overseeing them and constantly requesting reports from their manager. Don't be worried, sir. I have everything under control." He reassured me.
I smiled faintly, but kept it hidden from him. "Anything else?"
"You have an appointment with the directors of the other organizations. As the marked date approaches, they would prefer a clearer view of the plan."
"Alright, go now." I led him off with my hands.
I heard the wind gust as he bowed and said, "Yes, sir. Thank you. Remember to take care of yourself."
He closed the door softly and returned to his office.
Azure Corp, make the most of Late Notice’s success now. All that you have acquired will be ripped away from you right before your eyes. The public is currently your lover, but they will soon become your most dreaded adversary.
We’ll move when everything is done and ready. Just you wait.
"Uhm, sir. The appointment I was talking about is like right now. They are waiting for you."
Oh?
I’ve been too preoccupied with considering how much I detest Azure Corp.
I turned to face the front. I could see my secretary flinching.
He's perhaps an inch or two shorter than I am. He has a typical physique for a Korean male. He has slick-backed, polished gray hair and is wearing a light tweed sweater over a polo.
I gazed into his eyes and stated, "I'm going." He bowed, with his ears turning a bit red, and went out.
I got my glasses from my table and put them on. I rose from my chair and proceeded to the conference room.
The war is just starting, Azure.
I was putting my coat on as I walked on the hallway until my secretary behind me pulled on my right arm with one hand while gesturing in the opposite direction with the other. I regarded his eyes with an intense, penetrating gaze. How dare he touch me? What does he want?
"Uhm, sir. The conference room is this way." Oh.
It’s been years, Gwang Seong. Years. You still don’t know your company?
"Yes, I am aware. I'm on my way to the restroom." I responded nonchalantly, averting my gaze.
"But the bathroom is also this way, sir." Attempting to stare into my eyes, he inclined his head slightly.
I removed my sleeves from his grasp and turned away from him. "I see," I said as I went away quickly.
I yelled, "Hurry up, we'll be late."
"Yes, sir," I could hear him trailing off behind me.
