Chapter 7

  I woke up and saw all the stars in the sky, sometimes I think of Kinkay and Yooki as tiny ghosts dancing among the stars, it makes me laugh, I think I’ll draw that later, I roll over in the grass and see Aika sitting against a tree reading on her phone and chewing on a lollipop. I sit up and she looks over “are you feeling better?” She asks, I nod with a small smile, she smiles back and walks over, she wraps her jacket around me and helps me stand up.

  “Let’s get you home,” she says, I shake my head, she looks at me. 

  “Come home with me then” she suggests, I smile.

  We cuddled up and binge-watched movies until we both fell asleep, I woke up to a text from Eli.

      Eli: Hey, heard you're doing better, that’s good, Though we have a problem, it's not terrible, I need out of the house

      Yua: what’s wrong?? Is everything alright??

      Eli: No! I’m in danger!!

      Yua: What’s wrong??

      Eli: The girls are on their week and I forgot the chocolate!!!

      Yua: -_-

      Yua: goodbye sir

     Eli: NOOO Yua, you need to help me, I haven’t been through the evil week since I was 12 T^T

     Yua: fine, be there in a bit

   Eli: Thank You :D

   Yua: yeah yeah lol

       I stand up and Aika looks at me confused “everything ok?” I laugh a bit

“Yeah, just have to buy some stuff for a trans idiot” She laughs and stands up with me.

“Ok, I’ll come with” I smile at that

       We go to the convenience store and buy some different chocolates and ice cream, we get the few necessities too just in case, I mean 3 girls live there, and the stuff runs out quick, we go to check out but a girl catches my eye, shes definitely older than me, her dirty blond hair is a mess and some creepy looking guy is next to her, I recognize her from a class photo kinkay had, the copy he had has her face scratched out but there was a picture in the yearbooks at school, her name, Subreeana Williams AKA Subree, we quickly pay and walk out, but they follow, they open a pack of cigarettes they bought, the smell is gross.

   “You there with the short black hair and blue hoodie, you look familiar,” Subree says.

   “Probably, your sister is in my class,” I don't make eye contact. She walks closer and blows smoke in our faces, she looks at Aika

    “Now you look just like your older brother, he was a good friend of mine, sucks that after a small death his personality changes, he even went to college,” she scowls. Aika seems to get mad as well.

   “You have no right to talk about him, he got better after you were put in prison, he's a good person,” Aika's response makes subree chuckle.

   “People don't change that easily, the same Jay I know is still in there,” Subree says with a smile, the guy next to her takes a sip of beer and throws the bottle, I catch it before it hits Aika, Subree looks at me a bit shocked.

   “You’re related to kinkay huh?” she smiled, I start to speak but then I hear a car honk behind me, it was Eli.

   “What’s taking you girls so long, I have 3 grumpy ones in the back,” he glares at Subree as we get in and she blows him a kiss as we drive away and he gags.

  When we arrive at the house I give them the stuff but then my phone rang, it was my mom, I answered since I was confused to be noticed missing, she was crying on the other end.

   “What?” I say confused.

   “Y-your father, he passed away in the hospital a few minutes ago,”

  “From?”

  “Alcohol poisoning”

 “Ok,” I hang up
