Chapter 8

  We ended up staying the night at the twins' house since it was already late, we binge watched movies and played video games and board games, it was past midnight when we actually fell asleep, Eli called the school to say Aika and I won’t be going, of course, we asked Aika's parents, they didn’t mind.

  Aika had me do homework and study when we woke up, everyone else was still asleep, not gonna lie I wish I was as well, why does Aika wake up at 6 am when we’re not even going to school, so here I am listening to her ramble about grades and the test coming up.

“I know you get good grades Yua but you’ve missed 3 days of school now, you have 5 missing assignments, that’s pretty easy to get done, none are late yet” I loudly sigh and lay on my back, she hovers over me and smiles before yanking me up to sit on her lap.

  “Homework, c’mon” she hands me a pencil and my homework folder, I sigh again and try to lay back but she holds onto me and makes me face her.

  “Fineee” I say and lay my head on her shoulder as I do my homework, it’s rather easy but Aika still decides to help me to get it done faster.

  “See? done! Wasn’t that easy?” Aika exclaimed happily, I smiled and spun her around so that she was on my lap instead, her cheeks go pink and I kissed her softly.

  “Yup, easy” I smile but she pinches my nose instead of smiling back, how rude.

  “D-don’t catch me off guard like that!” She says still blushing, I just pull her closer, I hear Eli yawn and look over, he looks at us.

  “This is a Christian household ma’am,” I laugh at his comment

  “Eli, you’re an Atheist” 

  “Oh yeah, good night,” he lays back down, Aika and I laugh and get up to make breakfast. Aika is actually Christian, her family raised her that way, when she came out to them they were pretty respectful about it though, they’re nice Christians. Speaking of, are all Christians good cooks because this breakfast is awesome.

  “Hey, what are you making?” Says Ming out of nowhere causing Aika and I to jump.

  “The hell you come from?” I yell, Aika punches me in the shoulder.

  “Language,” She says. Ming just chuckles and gets breakfast and coffee.

   “I’m gonna go wake up my lazy boyfriend, wanna watch?” Aika and I exchange looks before shrugging and walking out of the kitchen with Ming, we watch Ming set down her food before running and jumping on Eli. 

  A wheeze comes from Eli before he coughs and lays his head back.

  “Is he dead?” Aika and I say in unison, Eli sits up wrapping his arms around Ming who is still sitting on his lap.

  “I’m not dead, yet, this one might end up being the death of me though,” he lays his head on her shoulder and nuzzles the crook of her neck. Blossom and Elly walk out of the bathroom, hair, and makeup already done.

  “Good morning everyone,” Blossom chimes.
