"Ah, I thought you were going to ask that." Hades looked exactly like this. He turned his back to the land and stood on tiptoe to hold a square bottle of wine from the top of the wine cabinet.
Holding two tall glasses from under the counter, Hardus shook them and pulled out the corks.
The dark red trickle fell into the goblet and rose wobbly.
"Do you want it?" Hades shook the bottle and signaled to land.
"If it's free."
"Never mind."
Hardus capped the bottle and took the empty glass from Lu. He took a sip and shook his head. "The Night's Watch is just like you and me. They deal with spooky stuff, the only difference is they have an official background.
"Weird?"
Lu Li noticed the new vocabulary.
"Things that even the church sticks don't explain, things that have weird shapes, things that could be buildings, things that could be creatures, things that could be stories... There is no logic. Shut up! No more questions! I don't know how to describe it!"
"A lot weirder."
"It's less than ghosts. Most people only encounter them once or twice in their lives."
"How to deal with weirdness."
"Run, run as far as you can, and don't try to fight it. It's beyond us. Contact the Night's Watch." Hardus seems to have decided that Lu Li wanted to be an exorcist, so he didn't deliberately withhold some key information. "I know what you're going to ask. How do you know weird? I don't know the answer, I can only tell you that you will find out what weird is when you meet it."
"Have you ever met."
"Once, and narrowly avoided it."
"Tell me about it."
Hades flicked his glass. "You'd better not know. It's not good for you."
"It's just my business. Just say it." The oil of all worlds style is not persuasive.
"What if I said I'd get in trouble if I told you?"
The land fell silent.
"If you compensate me properly for the loss, I may 'inadvertently' reveal something." Hades nibbled on three words and rubbed his fingers together.
All I need is money written all over my face.
The land leaves A word WITHOUT a word, deep and dark eyes quietly gaze at Hades: "...... Talk about something else."
"A hoe-scr-r-ritch......" Hades had the unhappy look of a failed plot.
"You just said being an exorcist is more dangerous than going to sea. Is it dangerous going to sea?" Lui doesn't think Hades' danger comes from the weather or sharks.
The swaying glass stopped, and Hades looked strange. "You really don't know anything?"
When Lu left his mouth, HAdes raised his hand to stop him: "Well, swallow that set of lies you prepared. I only care about your money, not where you came from and what you want."
So Lu Li resumed the initial silence, quiet to listen to Hades slowly.
"If the world is a blooming flower, now the flower is fading."
The sea is the main body of the world, and the land is mostly in the form of archipelagos.
Belfast is situated in the Principality of Allan Peninsula. The land of this world was colonized early by human beings, and because of low technology, exploration and activities about the ocean have always been kept close to the sea.
Many explorers tried to set sail in search of new islands and continents, but few returned.
The biggest of these discoveries was made by the great explorer Solasivia Sim, who three hundred years ago discovered a new continent: Solahim. It is more likely to be called the Land of the Plough, or the Promised Land, than the continent named after Solasivia Simm.
It was one of the greatest discoveries of centuries of modern maritime history, but for more than a hundred years subsequent explorers found only islands, or reefs that were not islands at all.
The farthest people could sail was a few hundred nautical miles.
It was not until fifty years ago that the steam engine was invented and rapidly introduced into ships that men were finally able to break free from the shackles of sailing ships and head out to sea
And then they got a taste of it.
Man lives on an island called Ignorance in the midst of a dark sea, a sea of infinite secrets, but we should not sail too far or probe too deep.
What happened then is unknown, except that since then, no one or group of people has wanted to peer far from land into the deep.
But things didn't end there. That voyage may have opened a wooden box called danger. From a few decades ago, the ocean gradually became more and more dangerous, fog, weird, underwater shadows began to appear frequently in the deep sea.
And it's spreading to land.
"You want to know that you can go to any library and find books... Oh sorry, I forgot the library in Belfast burned down." Hades shrugged, gloating. "So you couldn't have made a worse decision to come to Belfast at this time."
Lu left the heart to write down all the content, continued to ask: "What is in the dark."
"There is a price to pay." Hades raised an eyebrow, a hint of something.
"I'll keep buying bullets here after that."
"That's not enough. You must have something more." Hades tapped on the table.
Lu Li shook his head slightly: "Most of the money was used to buy a psychic gun."
A smile, gold teeth no longer shine. "Then come back when you've got 1,000 shillings," Hardus said realistically.
Lu leaves face unchanged: "Do other people know these?"
"No one is going to risk telling you that. If there were, I wouldn't tell you for the money." Unfazed by potential competitors, Hardes leans forward and leans closer: "So, Mr. Novice Exorcist, how many bullets do you want to buy?"
"Ten." Lu Li replied.
"Good...... Wait, what did you say? Ten? ! You can't -- no! I've said so much, at least twenty!"
"Yes."
Hades looked better and asked, "I have a problem, too," as he took the bullets for Lu.
"Why do you want to know this, don't say curiosity," he asked before Lu could say no or yes.
"... To go home." After a short silence, Lu Li replied.
To return, Lu Li first needs to know where he is and why he is here.
Hades will be wrong, think that the land is to fall here, take out a box of bullets pushed to the land from the front, with sympathy in the eyes of the way: "Free bonus 1, this sentence you must firmly remember."
"Where the light is?"
"It's another one."
"Hades whispered slowly, looking more serious than ever.
"Don't try to know too much. The more you know, the sooner you die."
A heavy mist hung over the earth
Among the ruins of the city, traces of the past left by mankind have not disappeared from the land
The glory is gone, and men hide like rats under the fire. The high black sun symbolizes that this place has changed hands -- this is their paradise
What is rising beneath the surging depths, a sticky murmur in the void, and strange yarn-curdled Outlines watching silently
The poisonous eyes flicker from under the bed, the evil breath lingers in the inner world, the whisper of enchantment surrounds the ear, and the horror walks among the ruins
Evil thrives, humanity darkens
Lu Li grasps redemption, steps towards them, the pace is firm
