Night Watchman Rhodes Harbour, once one of the most famous seaports on the Allen Peninsula.
The steam-powered battleship Athachel, which was built and launched here, was once seen as the backbone of civilization -- before it was broken.
That ocean brought disaster to the whole world at the same time, also let this battleship so far lost, never returned to the bosom of human civilization from the deep sea.
Since then, man has stopped exploring the sea and confined his activities to a sea just outside his home. There was a time when people and fishing boats could only be seen in books.
Although the entire Marine industry has been wiped out, Rodester Harbour is still one of the major ports on the Allen Peninsula.
The coastline stretches into a crescent-shaped bay in which Rodester Harbour sits.
Belfast is built on a low hill, and the streets and houses are divided into steps, from the top of the hill to the side of the hill, and from the side to the bottom of the hill.
Throat Corner, one of Belfast's closest streets to the coast.
Lu Li stood in front of the guardrail and took off his top hat.
The wind blew in, with a faint smell of the sea and the noise of the wind.
The land has arrived just in time.
The fishing boat, the Rhodes, was easy to spot, docked at the edge of the harbor, and the fishing boats around it fled to other areas like a plague.
In front of the guardrail, there are a lot of people like Lu Li watching the crowd, there are curious looking around the children were scared mother held home.
Some police officers arrived to maintain order at the port, but they clearly did not know how to deal with the situation, except to disperse the idle people in the port and keep the crew of the Rhodes from moving around.
They could not be identified by the noise of the sea breeze, and the pea-sized figure could not see them clearly. Lu Li could only look at the Rhodes ship in the harbor.
Rhodes was a three-masted sailing ship, about fifty meters long. After the disaster, fishing boats for offshore fishing. The medium sized, unpowered vessel is no longer suitable for deep water, and its instability and slow speed make it doomed to be back before dark.
And when night falls, the danger in the sea is far more terrible than on land -- even if there is light.
The Rhodes boat has no external damage, no parts that are different from other hulls. And Lu Li continued to watch, neither heard the muffled voice, there is no strange illusion.
Business as usual.
More and more residents gathered by the seaside to watch. Although many people were afraid of them, many others were curious about them, such as the fearless young people.
Amid the tumult, there was commotion from the other end of the street.
Two steam cars rolled into the Throat Corner neighborhood, and the crowd headed out of the way toward the wooden bridge that leads to the harbor.
In full view of the public, steam cars pulled up in front of the harbour, their doors opened, and black boots stepped out.
This group of dapper and mysterious guys, wearing uniform black uniforms, armband is a fully open eye. Upon seeing them, Lu Li inevitably associates these people with what Hades calls "the Night's Watch."
As they got out of the car and walked towards the harbour, one of the figures stood still and suddenly turned to look round the crowd in Throat Corner Street.
That PAIR TAKES THE LOOK THAT EXAMINES THE CROWD, IN THE LAND LEAVES ON THE BODY SLIGHTLY ONCE, THEN WITHDRAW the LOOK, TURN AROUND TO KEEP UP WITH COLLEAGUE'S pace.
"Were the police idiots, coming so close to the ship?" Matthew was at the head of the pack, his pace fast, eager to rush over and kick off his death-seeking colleagues.
"They're normal people. It's normal that they don't know." Joel turned to the lone figure behind him and called, "Chief, you're walking too slow!"
"These are the steps." Pulis followed the team slowly and gave instructions: "Team One get on board, Team two go with the police and evacuate the workers, keep them away from the crew and the ship, and then support Team one."
"Yes."
Not orderly answer sound, seven team members scattered action.
Pulis stood still, quietly waiting for his subordinates to deliver the results.
A few minutes later Matthew poked his head over the deck of the Rhodes, her ponytail hanging down, waving down and Shouting, "Chief! We got a contaminant! The ship is in trouble."
Pulis looked up. "Do you know what it is?"
"Several of the crew members said there was a fog coming over the water while the boat was sailing and that it was confronted by these things."
"The fog......" Pulis murmured, nodding his head: "Got it. Take all the crew back to quarantine, drag the Noughty and Rhodes to the burial site and sink them. Watch the men at work, and don't let them put anything in their pockets."
"Understanding! We don't make the same mistake twice!" Matthew laughed back.
Pulis did not smile. There was a nagging worry in his mind.
He thought of something and called to the ship, "Ask the crew where they encountered the fog."
It was ten o 'clock in the morning, and the Rhodes could not have spent the night at sea, which meant it could only have sailed at daybreak... It's only been five hours since dawn.
Five hours. How far can they travel, counting the return trip?
Matthew, apparently aware of this, turned pale and his head disappeared from the edge of the deck. A few dozen seconds later, Matthew yelled, and then his head poked over the edge of the deck.
'They said it was thirty-five miles from the harbour! Matthew looked ugly. Her necklace slipped out of her dress and wobbled in the air. "Damn thing, getting closer and closer to the shoreline!"
35 miles, almost at the edge of the ocean, close to home.
Pulis was quiet. "Go get Joel," he replied.
"Oh!"
Matthew pulled his head back, and a moment later, Joel's figure appeared on the edge of the deck.
'Where's Matthew? Pulis frowned.
"He called me over and went off to search for the contamination himself."
"Alas......" Pulis sighed invisibly and rubbed his forehead. 'Go and get Matthew. You too.'
"I see."
Unlike Matthew, Joel is much more rational. He nodded and walked away. A moment later, Matthew's voice rang clear from the deck.
"Anything else, chief?"
"The other boats are fine and this encounter could just be random. But just in case, Joel, you stay here and clean up the mess. Matthew, you come back with me to the chief."
When Matthew came running down, the two Pulis left the harbour and went to the steam car parked in front of the harbour.
The crowd on Throat Corner Street was still there, and for some reason, Pulis thought of a pair of perfectly calm black eyes, and he looked somewhere behind the guardrail.
Faintly, a slender figure with a top hat disappeared in the crowd.
"What's the matter, Chief? 'asked Matthew in surprise.
Pulis withdrew his eyes and shook his head slightly.
A heavy mist hung over the earth
Among the ruins of the city, traces of the past left by mankind have not disappeared from the land
The glory is gone, and men hide like rats under the fire. The high black sun symbolizes that this place has changed hands -- this is their paradise
What is rising beneath the surging depths, a sticky murmur in the void, and strange yarn-curdled Outlines watching silently
The poisonous eyes flicker from under the bed, the evil breath lingers in the inner world, the whisper of enchantment surrounds the ear, and the horror walks among the ruins
Evil thrives, humanity darkens
Lu Li grasps redemption, steps towards them, the pace is firm
