Closing the door, Lu Li took off his hat and hung it on the hanger beside the door.
The noise of the street is blocked out, and the silent detective agency is shrouded in a veil of fog.
Neither the sea nor the Night's Watch interfered too much in matters far from land or far away, and then he turned away.
A limited amount of light poured through the Windows into the agency, even though it was daytime.
But Lu Li does not care, here is only a temporary place to live, sooner or later Lu Li will change residence.
Not just because Mariner Street doesn't have power, but because of the view. Having learned from Hades the dangers of the deep, it was impossible to land without taking precautions against the sea, so a place to live with a direct view of the harbour became necessary.
Sitting back in her chair behind her desk, Lu loosened her tie and took out the paper that had been tucked into the pages in the drawer.
It shows a line of writing.
Important: Knowing where you Are
Lu Li picked up the pen on the desk, in the back of the supplementary content, and in the following to add new parts.
[Important: Know where you are (done) - Scrape together 1000 shillings and the Huddles deal more]
[Important: Deal with the ghosts that surround you]
[Secondary: Looking for a new place]
This is Lu Li's habit all the time, which is to summarize the things to be done at present into a paragraph of content, and record it after finishing a part, and then extend it down.
Lu Li can know more intuitively what he is doing, what he should do, and what he will do next.
The second, to some extent, overlaps with the fourth, which is the need to save money.
But being classified as important by land means that the second point has a higher priority.
Mr. Lu wasn't worried that Mr. Hardus might lie to him or bid up the price. It's the kind of confidential information most exorcists wouldn't be able to share with anyone, especially if there's a risk of doing so.
So Hardus is a good partner for every reason - except that he is too greedy for money.
After writing the new content, Lu Li read it several times. When there were no more parts to add, he put down the pen and waited for the ink to dry. Then he clamped it back into the page and put it back in the drawer.
Having done all this, Lu Li stood up and walked into the kitchen with his cuffs on. Not for a while the sound of water flow out, lasting for dozens of seconds after the recovery of quiet.
Lu Li walked out of the kitchen, the water across the angular face, condensation in the chin, swaying down.
It was morning, and it was still a long time before dark. After thinking about it, Lu picked up the phone and turned the wheel to dial the number.
Du -
After a long wait, the call finally got through. A shrilling voice burst into the receiver. "Mrs. Slavic Apartment. Who are you looking for?"
At the sound of it, you might imagine a bucket-waisted woman in a nightgown picking up the phone with one hand akimbo.
'I'm looking for Oliver.'
"Who are you, that boy? He owes me half a month's rent, you know, and if you don't want him out on the street, you'd better hurry -- "the woman on the other side began to chatter.
The LAND LEAVE DID NOT INTERRUPT, QUIET WAIT FOR HER TO NAG OVER, VOICE LINE SMOOTH WAY: "SO PLEASE GIVE THE TELEPHONE TO HIM, I WILL TELL HIM THIS MATTER. Plus, there's a good chance he won't open the door, so you can tell him his new boss is looking for him."
The woman opened his mouth, suddenly do not know what to say, can only be unhappy hum a few, let Lu Li wait, he kicked step step step step upstairs slippers.
Lu Li heard the sound of going upstairs and disappearing. Vaguely, I seemed to hear the sound of knocking on the door. I listened carefully, but nothing came.
...
'Oliver! You son of a bitch! I KNOW YOU ARE INSIDE, DON'T HIDE DON'T MAKE A SOUND YOU ALREADY OWE OLD NIANG TEN DAYS OF RENT!"
Bang bang bang!
"Oliver! Get out of here!"
The door shook and dust fell. Other tenants in the corridor nervously opened corners of their doors and peered out at the angry lioness.
After all, the door was Mrs. Slavic's property, and she couldn't break it down even if she was angry. After a long, fruitless day, Mrs. Slavic snorted, thinking of what the man had said, and decided to try.
"Oliver, a man claiming to be your new boss just called. He seems to want to see you about something important."
Mrs. Slavic was close to the door, and something vaguely seemed to be moving from behind it, but that was all. No one came out.
Mrs. Slavic said in a long voice, "Well, it looks like our little Oliver isn't home, so I'll just have to tell his new boss that your employee has decided to quit --"
'No!
There was a sudden cry of surprise from behind the door, and the door swung open as a rush of footsteps approached.
"Wait a minute, Mrs. Slavic --"
The sound stopped abruptly, and the tiny figure, barely as tall as Mrs. Slavic's chest, was pushed by a palm, followed by a shriek that frightened the other occupants.
After a flurry of hopping, Oliver limped ahead, with brown hair like a hen house and purple eyes, one of his shoes missing.
Behind her was Mrs. Slavic, whose wrists were as thick as Oliver's thighs.
On the first floor, Oliver picked up the phone and almost unconsciously cried, "Boss, are you trying to kill me..."
"How much longer do you want to hide? She's a good woman, a hostess who allows her residents to be half a month behind on their rent." Lu Li's voice came out of the microphone.
Lu is well aware of the chaotic environment in which capital sprouts emerged in the early days of this industry.
"Hum!"
While holding her chest, Mrs. Slavs burst out of her nose with a mass of heat, thinking that a man can understand the tenderness of my heart.
Not knowing what to say, Oliver asked, "So, boss, what do you want to see me about?"
"Do you have any new commissions?"
"Quite a few, but before you, boss -- were you looking for a decent family? I seem to remember a few." Hear the new boss to find the wealthy client, Oliver Leng, will be in the mind to write down a few names to tell Lu.
One of them was a young boy possessed by a spirit.
"Possessed......"
Lu Li murmured these two words, fingers lightly tapping the table top.
He was looking for commissions that "hear the sound of glass beads" and are not haunted, so that he could earn a fee without risk, but these commissions pay little, and the chances of being haunted are high.
Finger tapping stopped, Lu Li decided to try.
If there is a real ghost haunting him he can escape before he is haunted.
And Oliver talk about meeting near the entrusted family, Lu Li hung up the phone.
"What's your new boss's name?" Thick breath from overhead.
"Lu Li, his name is Lu Li." Oliver could hardly think of selling his boss.
"Is he good-looking?"
Oliver's small frame shuddered, and with a faint anticipation, he said, "I assure you, you will not find a more special man in all of Belfast."
A heavy mist hung over the earth
Among the ruins of the city, traces of the past left by mankind have not disappeared from the land
The glory is gone, and men hide like rats under the fire. The high black sun symbolizes that this place has changed hands -- this is their paradise
What is rising beneath the surging depths, a sticky murmur in the void, and strange yarn-curdled Outlines watching silently
The poisonous eyes flicker from under the bed, the evil breath lingers in the inner world, the whisper of enchantment surrounds the ear, and the horror walks among the ruins
Evil thrives, humanity darkens
Lu Li grasps redemption, steps towards them, the pace is firm
