Downstairs were about five boxes without labels it was probably his dad who packed them, he is always more focused on his phone because of his work.
Jack picked the box up and took it upstairs to his room. While he was putting the books away, he heard someone open the front door, so he went downstairs to see who it was and he found his dad emptying bags in the kitchen “Hey pater, did you get everything on maters list?” Leonard looked up from what he was doing to look at his son “I sure hope so I don’t want to get on your maters bad side.” He smiled as he put milk away in the fridge but as he turned back to face Jack he was no longer smiling “Jack are you ready to start school tomorrow?” Jack knew what he meant if he was ready emotionally or physically. It could take a lot on someone’s body to be separated from their mate, especially when the bond was so new. But he chose to ignore that and play dumb “I have everything I need so I should be ready.” Leonard gave him a look “You know that’s not what I meant.” Jack sighed “I have moved schools before I know what’s it like to be the new kid it’s going to be fine.” Now it was Leonard’s turn to sigh “Fine if you don’t want to talk about it that’s fine, I won’t force you.” Jack took that as his chance to escape up to his bedroom again.
Jack was laying on his bed looking up at his ceiling “I could get some of those glow-in-the-dark stars so there is something to look at.” He sighed and turned his head and was now face to face with an old plush bunny, its fur was beige, and it had on a pink full-body pyjamas, one of the ears had stitches because it had fallen off, one of the times they had moved, Jack reached out and hugged the bunny tight to his chest. It had been his sister's; he was only ten when she died and had to learn from a very young age what it meant to lose someone you hold dear. No matter what Liam had said about it not begin the pup’s fault he still blamed the werewolves for his sister dying which is why Jack now has such a hard time accepting that Liam a werewolf is his mate. Finding your mate was supposed to be one of the best moments in your life, but Jack would not allow himself to be happy not when his mate is a werewolf, no matter how much he wanted to be together with him to hug him and feel that he is real and not just a dream or something he made up. “Great now I’m crying.” While he was wiping away his tears his mother knocked on his door “Jack, dinners ready if you want some.” Jack put the bunny down on his bed again and walked over to open his door on the other side his mother was standing she took one look at him and knew what was wrong “Jack-“ Jack held his hand up to stop her “Don’t, please I don’t want to talk about it.” His mom gave him a sad smile but did not say anymore.
While they were eating nothing much was said but there was one thing Madalena wanted to tell her son “Jack, there is something I want you to know about your new school.” Jack looked up from his plate to show he was listening “I thought we agreed not to tell him.” Jack looked from his mom to his dad “Tell me what?” “I know what we agreed on, but I don’t want him to be overwhelmed on his first day.” Jack put his fork down “ Can somebody just tell me? I’m right here.” Leonard gave his wife a look but let her speak “The school is not a normal school they only let supernatural people in. It’s considered neutral ground, so no form of harm is to be done to any of the students based on race both mentally and physically. That also means that you don’t have to hide who you are or what you are.” Jack was in disbelief why would they hide this from him “And why didn’t you want to tell me this?” his parents looked at each other “As I said they only accept supernatural people. And that also means werewolves.” Jack stood up and slammed his hands on the table “WHAT?! Am I supposed to go to school every day with WEREWOLVES? You do know that it was your idea to stay away from them, right?” Madalena also stood up with her arms crossed “I try to be the nice parent, but I will not accept you yelling while we are eating. I was just trying to do something nice since you seem to have a hard time in a normal school. I know that going to school with wolves will be hard in the beginning, but you are not the only vampire, I have talked to their parents, and they have told me that there have been no problems so far, so you will be fine.” Jack was ready to explode so he did the only logical thing and went up to his room.
