I managed to smile, it felt different seeing her during the day.
She was grinning and chatting with another female whom I recognised as her manager. I looked towards the sexy Aston Martin they just got out of and I whistled.
That was a fucking sweet ride.
The ladies entered the cafe and no I wasn't being a creep. I just wanted to know how Destiny got on with her life.
I slid my car into a lot a distance away from Destiny's and checked myself in the mirror. She'll spot me immediately if I walked in like this. I pulled open the compartment and grabbed a pair of sunglasses and a newspaper.
Not the best disguise but I didn't exactly have a bunch of costumes or something ready in my car.
I put my sunglasses on, took the newspaper and got out of the car, my mood felt better now that I had something to do.
Of course it would be better to just approach her and ask to have a meal with her, but where's the fun in that?
And more importantly, she was paired. I wouldn't want to mess things up again.
I shook the thoughts out of my head and went inside the cafe. The smell of coffee and bread invaded my lungs and I was momentarily captivated by the different pastries in the glass fridge display beside the counter.
I scanned the area briefly and caught sight of Destiny and her manager sitting in a corner.
Okay Eros, don’t be a creep. Just be normal and sit a few seats away.
I ordered an Americano and a croissant, it was a simple process. But the lady attending to me kept trying to flirt and start a conversation with me.
“Are you new around here? I don’t think we’ve met,” the long blonde-haired lady winked at me and I stared at her.
I’ve been away from the flirting game for about a month and I’ve totally forgotten how to talk to people.
“I’m not new and we’ve not met. Have you rung my order in?” I glanced around quickly and found a queue starting to form behind me.
“Oh you’re not new around here?! Goodness how could I not have seen you before?!” She freaking nearly shrieked and I eyed her so hard I hoped she would shut up or Destiny would find out I was here. This city is crazy huge, obviously she couldn’t have seen every single male in this town.
I nearly wanted to slap my forehead, “Listen, just ring my order in. The line is being held up.”
She smiled brightly at me and I wanted to groan but she keyed my order in and I could finally pay up.
She gripped my hand as I handed some cash to her and she leaned closer to me, “Call me, my nights are mostly free, for you of course.”
Good God what is wrong with her?
I realised she wrote her number on my receipt and I looked back at her as she sent me yet another wink.
I glanced at Destiny and she was still happily chatting with her manager. There was something about her that made her look more cheerful today. It was odd. Maybe Jordan was making her happier.
The dull aching in my heart annoyed me and I grabbed my coffee and croissant before finding a seat somewhat near hers. I sat with my back facing hers so she wouldn’t see me.
I felt more at peace knowing she was so close to me. She felt like home.
I whipped out my newspaper and pretended to read, trying to overhear what Destiny was saying to her manager.
“So, you still have not told me why you came to stay over with me last night. I mean I don’t mind but is something up?” Her manager asked.
I could hear Destiny sigh quietly and her voice came out a little stressed, “I don’t know Elaine, Jordan is being a bit- I don’t know, a douche?”
I somehow smiled, I wanted to laugh at that, but it kind of worried me.
“Well I thought you kind of liked that bag of muscles? I mean he is quite good-looking,” the manager, Elaine replied.
“That’s just his looks though. I just hate it when he comes home, to my home and comfortably makes it like it’s his. He rips off his shirt and comes in full of sweat and odour. And okay I know it’s his job and all but he could shower before coming back smelling like that right?”
“Destiny, you are being kind of mean. I mean, if you really like him then you shouldn’t mind his smell so much anyway. Okay, even if he does smell that bad but at least he treats you well right?”
I could almost hear Destiny roll her eyes, “If treating me well is coming back and commenting about all the hot girls he’s trained then yes he’s treating me great. Plus he ruined my car just a few days after I lent it to him. The very reason why you had to get me a new one.”
Her sarcasm flowed out like a river and I could feel her aura turning grey.
“Yes again it is his work and I should listen and understand but really? 'Oh wow Scarlett Johansson is so hot, you should work out too to look like her?' Do I have to listen to that? Oh and, 'I saw this other trainer today and she was so hot and the pants she wore were so tight her butt looked so plump and-' UGH!” Destiny mocked and repeated what Jordan said to her.
She grumbled and I wanted to punch Jordan for being so ungentlemanly towards Destiny. Sure he is the guy she likes, and maybe Destiny could understand him more, but really? Commenting about other women like that in front of your girlfriend sounds horrible. Even for me to hear.
“He can’t be that hard to handle can he? He does work really hard, maybe he’s just saying all that because he’s stressed?” Elaine continued.
“Elaine, I know you’ve always liked to see the good in others, but this guy, he even asked me to be home today so he could fuck me. He didn’t even ask if I wanted it, it was like I had to give it to him just because we’re together.”
I flipped my newspaper really loudly and I heard the paper rip. Thinking about any other guy touching Destiny made my blood pound. I don’t want anyone to touch her like that. What’s worse was that he was almost forcing her for it.
She doesn’t belong to you Eros.
I clenched my teeth and tried to calm down, even if they were going to have sex, Jordan should have asked Destiny about it and not just expect it from her. Clearly she doesn’t seem to like the idea of being with him. Why didn’t she tell me?
“If you really don’t want to have that with him yet then just let him know, if he really loves you, he would understand,” her manager reasoned.
I hate to admit it but she was right. The pairing machine couldn’t be wrong three times in a row. Jordan had to be the one for her.
Even if he was a douche towards her now. Maybe he would be better in the future.
“I’ll give it another shot, maybe I’ll get him out for a drink. We can talk it out,” Destiny whispered and I felt my heart still.
It’s okay Eros, this is the right thing to do.
“Okay enough about guy problems, you have your first acting teaching lesson later, how are you feeling?” Elaine asked excitedly.
“I’m fine, I really want to get started on the new movie though. I miss being in front of the camera.”
“Already? You still have a red carpet premiere to go to at the end of this week! You will be bringing Jordan right?”
“Can I go alone? I don’t want to introduce him to the world more than I already have.”
“And have people comment about all this on your social media? Talk it out with him please, you don’t seem happy when you mention him to me. If it’s really not working between you two, then break it off with him.”
“I can’t Elaine, it’s complicated. I’ll try to make it work, you don’t have to worry too much okay? I promise it won’t affect my work.”
Elaine sighed really loudly while Destiny went quiet and I wondered what was going through her mind.
My phone rang and I quickly folded my newspaper and left the café. I groaned and picked up the call, glancing back into the café briefly to see the two of them continuing their conversation.
I answered the call, “Payne what is it?”
“Where are you dude? I have something to show you.”
“I’m busy, can you show it to me tonight?”
“Yeah sure, at the club?”
“Will do, if there’s anything else just leave me a text. I’ll be occupied today.”
“What’s keeping you so busy?”
“I’ll explain later,” I hung up and went inside my car to wait for Destiny.

*when Eros left to answer his call*
-Destiny-
“Destiny, tell me now. What’s the real reason behind you being so down lately? I know it’s not just because of Jordan,” my manager pressed.
Should I tell her about Eros? She already knows a lot about him.
“It’s that guy isn’t it? The one you told me about. You went off looking for him that night after the incident with Trevor,” she rambled on and I felt my heart ache.
Oh Eros.
I nodded and she gave me a disapproving sigh, “What’s holding you back? You sounded really fond of him when you told me about him a few days ago. Now all of a sudden you are with this Jordan I had no clue you were eyeing. What’s your deal? Why are you with one guy when you want to be with another?”
I looked at her, if only things were so simple. I would sound crazy if I told her.
“Tell me Destiny, whether it is crazy or not I need to hear you,” she scolded.
I breathed in deeply then nodded, “Fine, you’ll call me crazy anyway if I don’t tell you.”
She sat up straighter and leaned closer to me.
“The guy I told you about, Eros, he isn’t a normal guy. He’s a God.”
Silence. Counting once, twice and…
“You are insane, you told me he was extremely good looking but a God?! Are you hearing yourself?!”
I shushed her as we started getting odd looks from the patrons around us, “Elaine please listen. I’ve been busy with work for so long. Why did you think that I could, out of freaking nowhere have three boyfriends?!”
“Because you became famous! That’s why! That’s why all these idiots are climbing all over you!”
“No! It’s not because of that, I swear on all the hot chocolate I have at home.”
She gave me a look, “Damn you must be serious if you’re swearing on all your chocolate.”
I rolled my eyes, “Anyway, I want to stay with Jordan now. If I split up with him, Eros will have more problems to deal with and I don’t want any more of that for him.”
“You sound like you really like this Eros God guy thing. Why don’t you just be with him?”
“Didn’t you just hear me? He’s a God, and more importantly, he is in love with someone else.”
I could literally hear my heart shatter the moment those words left my mouth.
“Well go figure, finally someone that chose something over you.”
I glared at her, “You make it sound like everyone would choose me over every other thing.”
“If you have not noticed, almost everything seems to be going your way. But I’m mostly happy about you being as down to Earth as you were before you became famous. Even with all the crap that is going on, you make my life ten times better.”
I giggled, “And the Aston Martin that is sitting outside right now isn’t much trouble?”
“Please, you deserve that. God or not, Jordan or not, you are strong enough to deal with your problems and I’m happy for you. Being your manager was the best thing I ever decided to do.”
I laughed and sipped the last of my hot chocolate, “Well thank you, it’s an honour having you work for me.”
“It’s also an honour to get your ass to the studio for your new class, let’s go!”
We got up to leave and I saw an empty table with a full mug of coffee and an uneaten croissant.
Some people really don’t know how to appreciate a good breakfast. Such a waste of food.
