Alex leaned against his desk, reading the report file he was just given as a soldier stood on the other side of the desk "Where is she now?" Alex questioned as the soldier immediately answered "In her assigned room, in Block A" "And where specifically was she found?" the doctor questioned again "Block Z, right outside Thompson's office, she fell out of a vent" the soldier answered again. Alex closed the file as he looked out the window, watching the frozen forever night sky haunt the hospital "And her injuries?" "Broken spine but thanks to the curse, she stayed alive long enough for the doctors to fix the spine and any internal bleeding" the soldier told Alex "They even gave her some ?, so she should be both healed and a stable condition now" he added as Alex signed "Right". Alex turned around, placing the file on the desk before looking up at the soldier "Inform the doctors and nurses that we'll be continuing all the treatments as scheduled, but also furthering them with the x-treatments as well" Alex stated as the soldier raised a brow "But sir- isn't the x-treatments only for patient CØ-" "All patients will be subjected to x-treatments regarding their 'curse monsters', except for ego-separation" Alex coldly interrupted. "We may only have a week or so to gather all the information and data we can" Alex stated before taking a couple seconds to think, his gaze shifting to the air vent in his office "...also get someone to run a thorough search through all the vents" Alex ordered "I'm having a hard time believing a mere Human Realm girl managed to crawl through the venting herself" "Yes sir" the soldier answered, walking out of the office and closing the door behind himself as Alex pulled out his radio. "Attention all soldiers, we may have a hide-away on the premises, report anything out-of-place straight to me" Alex ordered over the radio, receiving several different responses from soldiers throughout the hospital.
The children sitting in the cafeteria "Patients are to head back to their rooms now" the speaker announced as some of the kids looked up in confusion. "Wait what?" one loudly questioned as the soldiers started escorting children out of the cafeteria "Great! who fainted now?!" another kid yelled out, only to be roughly pushed out of the door by a soldier behind him. Over at one table where Holly, Faith, Lilly, Jacob and Vixen were, they quickly stood up, about to follow the order on the speaker until a kid yelled out "Fuck off- I'm not going back to that fucking room!" they spat as a soldier walked over to them. "Quieten down-" the kid punched the soldier and half a second later, the same soldier tightly grabbed the kid by the arm as the kid's friends started yelling at the guard too "Let him go!" "Give him a break- get off of him!". The yelling and screaming quickly got louder and louder as several soldiers rushed over to that table, then a soldier fired his gun, hitting the kid in the leg whilst most of the children started screaming. "The hell's happening?" Jacob questioned as Faith turned to Holly "You don't think this has something to do with Tom, Corey or Angelina? right?" "Maybe-" "There's more to it" Vixen slightly cut Holly off as she was answering Faith "Some of them looked worried" he stated "Maybe they're all still on edge after yesterday's 'lockdown' thing" Lilly suggested. "Something tells me that they're not still hung up on yesterday-" "Move it, kid" a soldier pushed Holly as she was mid-sentence before looking at the other four kids "Rooms, now" the soldier hissed as the group slowly stepped away from him and walked towards the cafeteria doors like the rest of the children.
"We need to talk to Angelina or Corey" Holly said to Faith as they walked in the crowd "How? Angel's on bedrest and we haven't seen Corey for two days" Faith stated, the other children's chatter and voices perfectly masking their conversation "I don't know, but we need to figure something out very soon" Holly told her cousin as they were ushered out the doors and into one of the hospital's many corridors.
Dianne sat in her office, worry rushing through her head as a soldier walked into the room. She looked up and raised a brow "...Brown? what are you-" "Shift change, got stationed here until the next one" he answered as Dianne looked back down at the ground whilst James closed the door behind himself. "No one's around, you can use my first name-" "I fucked up" James paused for a second at Dianne's words "Doctor Thompson-" "My one job and I fucking blew it" she stated, covering her face with her hands as the soldier raised a confused brow "Doc?" his voice went unanswered "What are you talking about-" James immediately caught sight of the vent in Dianne's office, how loose the vent's screws were, how one of the four was missing. James hesitantly looked back to Dianne who was still covering her face "It was you... you hid her" he stated as the doctor looked up at the soldier, tears threatening her eyes "...they're torturing them" Dianne stuttered, trying to keep herself from balling her own eyes out in front of the soldier. "They're torturing the children, all of them" she told James as his own eyes widened in disbelief "Wha- that can't be true-" "Each one of them is covered in bruises, James... I... I just couldn't-" tears ran down Dianne's face as James immediately rushed over and gave the woman a hug. "Hey- it's okay" James tried to calm her down but it was no use "I couldn't protect them-" "Hey, look at me" Dianne looked up at James as he held her by the shoulders "We'll save the kids, all of them, we'll get all of them out of this shit-hole, I promise you" he told her "We'll get them out of here then get you back to the Red Army". Dianne tightly hugged James "Thank you" she cried as the soldier signed... he's about to go against every rule to do the right thing, for the kids... and the woman he loves.
Patryck quietly climbed out of a vent opening, carefully closing the vent behind himself before looking around the storage room he was in, quickly spotting spare Grey Army uniform. He quickly changed into the uniform, throwing his other clothes in a rubbish bin before re-adjusting his gun hanging off his shoulder. He then unmuted to stolen radio he had taken from a soldier once arriving at the GACTC, dusted himself off and walked out of the room, closing the door behind himself before hesitantly walking down the corridor. Several times, he passed a couple soldiers who greeted him and nothing more, to them... he was one of them, not an intruder.
Corey slowly opened his eyes, finding himself strapped to a bed in the surgical ward again yet this time, attached to a drip. He angrily signed. His head hurt like hell, he limbs felt completely numb and his vision was slightly blurry. He could see a few blackened figures walking around the surgical ward "No..." he mumbled, barely able to speak as one of these blacken translucent figures walked over to him, looking like walking corpse of a nurse "Please..." he silently begged, tears threatening his eyes as the figure gently caressed his face. She kissed his forehead before whispering something with a gentle smile yet Corey couldn't make out any of the words. She stood up and quickly dashed through a wall behind Corey as a doctor, real and living, walked over to the teen with a clipboard in hand. "You're awake, good" he stated, marking something down on the clipboard before finally turning his head to Corey "Tomorrow, you continue your treatments" he stated, walking over to the drip connected to the boy's arm. The doctor picked up a syringe filled with some clear liquid "So you're gonna need all the rest possible" he stated, putting down his clipboard "No- please, not again... please" Corey begged, on the verge of tears as the doctor connected the syringe to the drip before injecting it in "Sorry kid, nothing personal" the doctor stated as Corey's breathing slowed a bit, eyes slowly closing themselves as the sedative kicked in. "Facing the Grey Leader is a punishment worse than this... we all have a job to do here and unfortunately you're tied to something so much worse than any army leader" the doctor stated as a couple tears ran down the teen's face "Sorry kid..." he apologised before grabbing his clipboard and walking off.
