Finally a new update. Albert is a very motivated guy, as you can see. And an old friend of Tankred and Folquet. They were a group of angsty knight/artists actually.
The Cathars were a group of heretics who were persecuted by the Catholic church. The crusade which Albert refers to is the infamous "Albigensian Crusade".

His anger is kind of well understandable especially when whatever they did was wrong even if they thought the Cathars had it coming. And that if he protects his people he doesn't really mind or care what is the cost of doing it. The church I think is acting out of a fear that they are going to weaken their authority and that it is a heresy but mostly the former. To stop it from going further and even worse gaining royal support who can then use it as a bargaining chip.
And that panel really showed just how horrible it was even in the name of fighting heresy.
Witches, monsters, werewolves - this is all just medieval superstition right? Sebastian, a young Hospitaller Knight has recently learned there can be truth in superstition. And he learned it the hard way - by getting turned into a vampire. To his surprise his Order still has use of him however, and of others like him....After all what better way of facing monsters, than having some of your own?
