After chugging the chicken noodle soup without puking, somehow, Taylor walked Jasmine to the bathroom. Jasmine stopped in front of the door and turned towards the shorter girl. "You okay?"
"Uh...yeah. I just...want to apologize-"
"Don't worry, my Dad takes punches all the time he's a cop." Taylor smiled.
"Not an excuse-"
"I'm not mad. I'm not happy but I'm not mad." They both stood in silence before Jasmine nodded silently and went into the bathroom holding the door open for Taylor earning a confused look from the girl.
"Need you to teach me how to work your nobs," Jasmine said with a sly smile as she grasped at the air as if she was turning a nob. Taylor just looked at her weirdly, "You know like- you know what never mind forget I said that," Jasmine chuckled.
"Okay, I'll but I can't promise I won't tell the entire school that Jasmine Black made a nice on me." Taylor smiles smugly walking past Jasmine.
"I wasn't really flirting it was more of a joke- never mind," Taylor mumbled to herself.
As soon as the hot water hit her back she felt the muscles in her body melt into goop as the weight of the world seemed to wash away. She didn't look forward to taking showers, she loved them but hated leaving them. She'd finally be able to escape everything then as soon as she stepped out of the shower it all hit. The silence and cold in the air hardened all of her muscles in her back along with the world riding on her back. The cold always seemed to make everything worse. Frozen, lonely, broken just where she belonged. The warm stream of water suddenly froze zapping her out of her head. " Jesus H. Christ!" Jasmine mumbles nearly falling as she rushes to escape the cold water. How long have I been in here?
She sighed as she opened her phone and saw it she had been in the shower for 45 minutes and had yet to do more than stand in the water. Shit.
"Jasmine, you okay?"
"Taylor? Sorry did I wake you?"
"No. I was up I heard the water and noticed you've been in here for a while wanted to make sure your okay."
"Uh...yeah. Fine."
"Okay, if you need anything yell...please."
"I will," Jasmine sighed as she listened to Taylor's footsteps head down towards her room. A sudden feeling of pain hit her heart like someone had tied a rope around it and attached it to an anchor then left it in the middle of the Arctic Ocean in the middle of winter to sink to the bottom of the ocean and drowned. She was drowning and wasn't sure how much air she had left, she just hopped she wouldn't do anything stupid like fighting a cop. God, you're never gonna forget that is your brain.
The girl every boy wanted and every girl wanted to be only wanted the one person in the entire school who didn't want her or to be her, the quiet kid who just wants to be left alone so the day can go by without there being a total disaster like catching the attention of the whole student body because the head cheerleader likes her.
