The 4 books were silent.

They have never heard someone who had made this type of foundation at all and even more so, have different fucking kinds of animal species.

It was simply unheard of.

When martial artists start to cultivate, they need to awaken Qi. This can be done by forcing Qi inside the body or naturally awakening to sense Qi, the latter will take even longer or will not happen at all.

Martial artists use the Qi they absorbed to form a foundation.

This foundation is what they will nurture when they cultivate.

The stronger you become, the stronger your foundation will be naturally and everything else will follow.

So why your foundation is unique is because martial artists in Murim do not use animals as their basis for a foundation, especially your kind of animals. Some of them do not exist, they are but a mishmash of body parts and animal species making a new kind of animal. But, instead, they make inanimate objects their martial foundation like brushes or scrolls, books, etc.

The more complex the foundation, the harder it is to maintain and if not done properly, you could be crippled for the rest of your life and never practice martial arts again. There are only a handful of martial masters that use animals as a basis for foundations but they could be direct descendants of that animal or maybe it was their spirit animal/ancestor or it can be the cultivation technique that gives an animal foundation.

“I don’t feel bad at all, in fact, I feel much better than before.” Said Sung Kang.
